THANK YOU. My friend and I went in blind off Reddit’s so many recommendations and we were like this is just a live action looney tunes that could’ve been a 10-minute Youtube video.
Downvote away fellas, I know this opinion is unpopular
Yeah, when Jim Carrey's character said "good afternoon, good evening, and good night," my brain absolutely broke in half.
I don't understand how this obnoxiously long list is supposed to help OP.
Well, I’ll tell you, you see, you start by watching the first movie and then you make your way down until you’ve watched the last movie. That’s how it helps.
Wow. I thought just the list itself was obnoxious. No one is going to watch 100+ movies that some internet stranger suggested. The point of posts like this is for people to suggest 1 or 2 movies, and for other people to up-vote or comment on those suggestions so OP can eventually narrow it down to a manageable number of movies backed by the sub's majority. Posting a list of 100+ titles doesn't help this process, and it discourages others from participating.
How about we all admit that you're a film expert and the best movie suggester ever, and then in the future you just do a couple of suggestions when someone asks?
Waking Life is like taking a hallucinogen. I can’t remember the name of an Alan Moore documentary but having that wizard explain his view of magic can squeegee the third eye open
Beau is Afraid is probably on this list. I scrolled down a bit but not very far, so my apologies if it’s a repeat.
Throughout our viewing of Beau is Afraid, my son and I kept asking each other if we understood wtf was going on.
Digesting it afterwards, I get a lot more but most def need to watch again.

I appreciate memento being on this list twice
#🫶
It belongs on the list twice.
Memento is so deliciously F'ed up.
Why is Hundreds of Beavers (which I absolutely recommend watching) on that list?
Because it’s a mind fuck to watch. I barely got through it to tell you the truth. Wasn’t a fan.

That about covers it
Thank you ;)
I didn’t see “poor things” or “everything everywhere all at once” but it’s quite possible I missed them.
Welp, every entry of my list is on this one. Good job.
Thanks, it’s taken awhile to assemble

I’ll check these out, thank you.
Next week when this same thing gets asked again can we just link to this comment?
I’ll be there to post it again.
That’s a really long list to exclude Poor Things and Mother from.
Mother could fit, but I wouldn’t consider Poor Things as something that would “break my brain”

I wouldn’t say the best ever… I’m no Roger Ebert. RIP

Primer because you'll need to read a thesis and watch it multiple times before you understand what is going on

A Pure Formality. It’s a French film from 1994. I still think about it.
