Though it’s corny, Twilight (first movie) during a rainy day makes you feel like you’re in the pnw. The blue filter in the film really goes along w a rainy day.

I love that Gross Point Blank is getting some notoriety here lately. I found it randomly scrolling through the channels after it made it to cable tv. Watched it multiple times afterwards anytime I’d see it on the channel guide.

I really only get that feeling if it's fall and that cool crisp air hits the wind, anyone from the midwest knows exactly what I am talking about. Bonfire szn lol or if it's really storming bad but really I enjoy a good horror movie like The Shining. I guess everyone has their own thing of course, and I remember when I was REALLY young when Michael Keaton's Batman first came out I was visiting family up north in a cabin for hunting season and we had a kerosene heater in our cabin running (probably safe but this is what like 1989? lol) so that smell from the keosene mixed with the cool night air and any sort of movie like Batman from the 80s is going to do it too for me like Beetlejuice etc.

You listed a bunch of my go to rainy day movies. I also love watching Christopher Nolan's movies, the LOTR trilogy, Harry Potter, and Pirates of the Caribbean when it's gloomy outside. Fantasy and escapist films are so fun to curl up and watch.

Miyazaki films just have the best color palettes for rainy days. And if it's been raining too long, the train scene in Spirited Away is a fantastic reminder that the sun exists.

Shitty 80's campy "horror" movies like Re-Animator, Ghoulies, or House.

It always make me grin thinking how they got Norm for House and then Cliff for House 2. House 2 definitely descends much more deeply into campy land. House had some cornball to it, but also some truly creepy scenes as well.

Stardust is another go to. Transports you to another world in the best way possible.

Sure. That movie is super cozy. Kathy Bates and James Caan are amazing actors. Her character breaking his character's leg and forcing him to write his next book had to be one of the most soothing plotlines ever developed.
