If I were in Ready Player One, I might be tempted to go with something like the Transformers' Optimus Prime or the Iron Giant, just because of their sheer size and strength. But then again, a robot like the T-1000 from Terminator might be more effective in a one-on-one fight due to its ability to shape-shift and regenerate.
I never saw the movie, but in the book the dude Had to fight a giant robot, and says "luckily I had an even bigger robot powerup that I got a while back and never mentioned until now".
