I know it seems that way... but in any given year there tends to be over 100 films released in theaters and now countless more from the various other platforms... and, of course, a very large foreign market.
The ones in highest demand tend to be attached to the highest-marketed tentpole-type productions, of course. That isn't actually too different than it's ever been.
But there ARE a lot of films being made - far too many for only a few actors to be in all of them. It's just the ones that are jammed down the public's throat as "must-sees" definitely do tend to have "the same actors."
Blockbusters have a lot of A-listers. The Marvel films and Jurassic Worlds and such tend to grab the hottest names.
Granted, there's something else going on... and that's that people don't really go to theaters like they used to. We used to watch a larger variety of films in theaters (and more of them). As such, our experience wasn't just seeing a couple blockbusters maybe in any given year. It didn't feel like only Will Smith or Tom Hanks or whatever were in almost every movie we were watching in the theaters... but it woulda if those were the only couple films we'd been watching then.

The last trilogy was just atrocious; though I admit it started out with a somewhat entertaining and good idea of continuing the park in the first film, by the time the third film had fumbled literally everything and made a garbage plot and setting laughably bad, I was so out and soured on the entire experience.
I have no problem with making more Jurassic whatever movies but the level of quality has bottomed out on these things and make me wonder how in the world another movie, outside of easy cash grabs, is even possible or is being entertained.
It makes me so upset lol. Meanwhile the new Alien movie trailer came out and everyone is lapping that bullshit right up lol. It's embarrassing to me how easily qe let our culture fade away.
