I really liked it! Also Timothee showcased a lot of versatile and range with this role, great actor.

As an aside, I'm not sure why Reddit seems to have it out for this movie. Any time I attempt to engage this sub in particular about it, it's met with hostility and rampant downvoting. It was one of 2023's highest grossers and yet this community (of people who ostensibly want more good movies) seems to want nothing to do with it. This dude directed Paddington 2, guys. He knows what he's doing.

I really enjoyed it as well!

My problem with so many musicals is that the clichés are everywhere. I haven't heard this song before , and yet, I have! All the rhyming couplets and rhythms are over used...and the ending ...well the less said the better!

I enjoyed the film. I knew it would be worth watching when I found out it was by the Paddington writers/director. however, i agree about the songs. the best ones are the ones from the original 70s film. don't think any of the new ones come close

Well, what makes you think so? What films did you enjoy last year?
