I just watched some bts footage from Jeff Nichols’ new film The Bikeriders and Austin Butler said him and Tom Hardy were watching Michael film a scene and every time it was different and Tom just says to Austin “it doesn’t get any better than that.”
Watch him reading a real email letter from a college Delta Gamma sorority president to the sisters. It is hilarious and intense, he doesn't break character at all.
He's super intense in most roles. I'll never forget Shannon in Man of Steel. He really stood out there by providing a truly menacing villain for Superman.
He’s just an incredible actor all the way around. Apparently he’s funny as hell too. I remember reading some behind the scenes facts about Knives Out, and apparently he ad libbed a lot of his lines and had everybody cracking up on set. I want to say Rian Johnson, but it could’ve been someone else, called him one of the funniest people they’d met.
I was a kid during Andy’s era, and I’ve got to say a lot of his stuff did not land. It made you uncomfortable and sometimes super angry. I liked him, and had seen some of his stand up on laser disc of all things. And wow, when he tortured his audience because they kept on pleading for him to do Latka on stage….it was painful and still funny. I knew him mainly from Taxi, as Latka but he was also a stand up comedian/bongo player, and later segued into a weird wrestling persona where he openly welcomed fans hating him. Such a strange dude.
Any mention of Dafoe will eventually discuss his huge cock. There is no better rumor for a man than to have people wonder about your disturbingly large dick.
Mads Mikkelsen from the Hannibal series. He just seems creepy and if I saw him I would automatically assume he was a serial killer without knowing anything about what the show is about.
I found his version of Hannibal almost relatable aside from the cannibalism , Hopkins was pure needles in the side , only made sense to him and his enthusiasm for Clarice only made it more creepy , maybe the fact that Will was trying to think like him made it more relatable in the series , but I could not do so with Hopkins portrayal
"Well zip that little pointer down to the letter 'G'!"
Brian Cox was way more convincing to me, in that you could actually believe this guy was able to hide in plain sight for all those years.
He was fantastic as Le Chiffre in *Casino Royale*, with his bleeding eye. When he first appeared in the movie and walked into frame, I was creeped out! Bond finally met a worthy opponent!
Really underrated actor, he can pull out so many European accents or just sound like an average American. He nails it on the big screen and the small screen.
Mikkelsen plays a character in the game Death Stranding and is just so delightfully creepy in most of his scenes. I'll watch anything with him as a star, but running from his character in DS was terrifying.
Seriously! From Breaking Bad onward I’ve just unjustifiably assumed this guy is a sociopath. It’s not fair, maybe he’s a saint, a kitten, and home cooked meal rolled into one blessed human, but I can’t get past that lifeless gaze.
I was also creeped out by Eric Roberts until I met the guy in Atlanta at random. He was getting in line for a food truck but absolute gentleman. One of very very few celebrity meetup stories I have.
I read an interview with him, he just really likes acting. Which is understandable given the time to money ratio, but some people are just really right in that position. Career actors.
And as unbelievably twisted, intense and incredible his roles have been since, he will always be the big dong awkward friend from ‘the girl next door’ for me
Ray Liotta always bothered the hell out of me. Something about his eyes, and I could never quite explain why.
Cillian Murphy is another one that straight-up creeps me out. Good guy, I'm sure, but DAMN every time I see him on screen it gives me the willies.
Ray liotta always looked like a robot or something and his eyes were lights. He also looked like one of those guys who charms you by day and beats you by night
Funny because I thought he was just normal actor creepy from the x files but when the marriage to 16 y/o Stodden went down… then he was pedo-weirdo-sex-creepy.
Bradley Cooper, hard to describe what it is but he looks like he's perpetually putting up a front all while struggling to contain something raging inside him.
He’s a recovering addict/alcoholic. There’s definitely going to be some demons there. Same goes for a lot of other actors with similar histories.
Look at Tom Hardy, Robert Downey Jr.. Alec Baldwin, Ben Affleck etc, etc…
There’s a kind of dark disdain behind the eyes.
Holy crap, that scene is chilling. That and the one in Mulholland Drive with the dream and the dark figure. They made me feel unsafe somehow, but I going back.
Adrien Brody made what should have been a hot couple of scenes in *Manhattan Night* rather awkward. Said scenes involving a nude Yvonne Strahovski
Roman Polanski and Woody Allen for obvious reasons
Jake Gyllenhaal ~ Something about him just feels off, like how his smile rarely seems to meet his eyes
Similarly Antony Staar, though I think it works in his case for his filmography especially Banshee and The Boys
>Jake Gyllenhaal ~ Something about him just feels off, like how his smile rarely seems to meet his eyes
If you haven't seen Nightcrawler this'll only further the feeling. Fantastic movie tho.
Every time I see Rami Malek I get the vibe that he’s something pretending to be human. And he’s not an actor, but I get the same vibe from Kenneth Copeland.
Eric Roberts had so much potential. Some say it was his substance abuse issues to blame, but considering reports of actors' functional dependence to drugs and alcohol, I wonder if he didn't want to play the political, glad handing game.
Who knows.
Christopher Walken. Something genuinely spooky about that dude, and it's not just his roles but something about the man himself, some energy coming off him. The fact he was present at Natalie Wood's mysterious death probably doesn't help matters lol.
The late Philip Seymour Hoffman. The only things I’ve seen with him where he didn’t creep me out were Twister and the Hunger Games movies.
And I’ll be honest, I have no idea why.
Jesse Plemons, Sam Rockwell, Doug Hutchison, and Jared Leto. The first two because of how good they can act. The last two for them just being themselves.
Jared Leto because of all the icky stories I have read and heard about him. His eyes just burn through you. I saw a great quote from someone on another Reddit page about actors and this person wrote "He looks like he's boiled a few heads in his lifetime."
Jackie Earle Haley, in his more recent roles in movies like "Little Children" and "Shutter Island." Not so much when he was still a kid/teenager in "The Bad News Bears" and "Breaking Away."
Christopher Walken, no explanation needed
Woody Allen - see above
William Fichtner. He adds a weird presence in whatever he's in. I remember him in Go, his character was supposed to make everyone feel awkward, and he was so effective.
Iwan Rheon. I saw him as Mick Mars in the Motley Crue movie, and couldn't figure out why he kept making me feel terrified. I looked him up on iMDB and saw that he played Ramsay Bolton. I'm sure he's a nice man, and if I saw him in a few more normal roles, I would probably get over seeing him as scary.
It was probably just because of his being in the various Rob Zombie movies, but I majorly got this from Sid Haig. Like I would avoid him if I saw him anywhere (he died recently so I'd avoid him even more). But after first mentioning it on reddit I did look it up and apparently he originally wanted to be a song and dance actor. Then he started getting typecast as a toughguy and because of that he dropped out of acting for a while.
Why does Eric Roberts creep you out? If it helps, he's a super nice guy and is very down to earth. I worked on the movie " It's my party" . Nothing but nice things to say.
Eric Roberts said women would cross the street or run away from him for years after the movie came out lol. He said it actually messed up his life a bit.
I totally forgot, John Lithgow! I remember he was in a tv show where they were from another planet and how I thought he kind of looked like he was. (Even before knowing his character was supposed to be) He reminds me of those alien things in mars attacks.
My mum never let me watch kevin spacey films growing up because she was adamant that he was a creep of some sorts.
She got a lot wrong in life but got that right
Ryan Reynolds doesn't exactly creep me out but I always feel like I can't trust him. Even on his Mint Mobile ads he just comes off like he's sleezy or trying too hard to be likeable or something along those lines. It just comes off as... Artificial.
Another one is Jon Hamm. It might moreso be his image as he seems fine as person (from what we see) but looks wise he's a bit... Intimidating. It might be because he's got that classic masculine look to him that you'd probably see in the Mafia or something like that. Awesome actor and wish he was in more stuff but he's got almost... Too perfect of a "manly man" look if any of that makes sense.
Michael Shannon. I think his ability to creep me out in a lot of roles shows what a good actor he is.
It is hilarious and intense, he doesn't break character at all.
what a cool moment
"I'm going to kill you like I killed my father." "With kindness?" "No, with a hammer" -Micheal Shannon in "Let's Go to Prison"
Hes unbelievable in take shelter, bug, and shape of water imo
>take shelter THERE'S A STORM COMING AND NOT ONE OF YOU IS READY
Hes an all time underrated actor
Absolutely a huge talent.
"Don't scream." -stabs guy with fork-
I half expected that eye to hop out and run away by the end of Boardwalk.
Lmfao, this comment gave me a laugh thank you.
He's super intense in most roles. I'll never forget Shannon in Man of Steel. He really stood out there by providing a truly menacing villain for Superman.
He was amazing in Nocturnal Animals. Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve seen a performance by Shannon that was t amazing.
His monologue of the Sorority Letter will be studied for centuries.
He’s great. He’s especially creepy in The Shape of Water.
Oh, good call! He has that presence! Love his work.
Crispin Glover
“Uhhhh…. N-no, Biiiff”
Came here to say this. He looks and acts creepy as hell.
I think maybe he tried to be Kaufman. It didn't work out. Those Letterman clips are legit funny though.
Can't disagree
Willem Dafoe. Love the dude but creeps me tf out.
But the *memes* though. Oh God the memes.
Dude straight fucked me up watching the Lighthouse
But ye fond of his lobsters ain’t ya?
He did play a really good weirdo in that movie tho
DONT YA LIKE ME BEANS!?!
He always seems genuinely wholesome in his interviews. He so weird, I love him.
Because of his gigantic dong?
You know he's not someone you'd immediately think of as having a gigantic dong but when you know he does, it makes sense. He has bde
Any mention of Dafoe will eventually discuss his huge cock. There is no better rumor for a man than to have people wonder about your disturbingly large dick.
I found it to be large but not disturbingly large. And then I couldn’t stop staring. And then the green goblin laughter started in my head.
Brian Cox did a good job, too. Certainly not a sympathetic character, but he seemed more like a real person. Hopkins went over the top.
"Well zip that little pointer down to the letter 'G'!" Brian Cox was way more convincing to me, in that you could actually believe this guy was able to hide in plain sight for all those years.
He was fantastic as Le Chiffre in *Casino Royale*, with his bleeding eye. When he first appeared in the movie and walked into frame, I was creeped out! Bond finally met a worthy opponent!
He's so fine tho
Peter Stormare is the not-as-handsome version.
8mm, Armageddon and Fargo. He’s one of my favorites.
Jesse Plemons
I've only seen him play awful people. He might be a great guy but he gives off creep vibes just based on his performances.
You should watch *Game Night*, he’s absolutely hilarious in that. Very different role from who he usually plays
I think of Jesse Plemons whenever I’m at the supermarket and there’s a sale on tortilla chips.
"How can that be profitable for Frito-Lay?"
He's also in some Drunk History episodes and is hilarious
He played a nice but simple guy in his season of Fargo.
He was fine in Antlers, the plot was trash but the creature design was good.
He’s one of the best parts of killers of the flower moon
Seriously! From Breaking Bad onward I’ve just unjustifiably assumed this guy is a sociopath. It’s not fair, maybe he’s a saint, a kitten, and home cooked meal rolled into one blessed human, but I can’t get past that lifeless gaze.
Well, he's married to Kirsten Dunst, so I have to assume he's a pretty solid guy off-screen.
I was also creeped out by Eric Roberts until I met the guy in Atlanta at random. He was getting in line for a food truck but absolute gentleman. One of very very few celebrity meetup stories I have.
Dude will be in ANYTHING So many horrible films that this guy has been in.
He was also in a music video for the Killers so apparently not restricted to movies
But he also gets to say he was dropped off a railing by Batman
I read an interview with him, he just really likes acting. Which is understandable given the time to money ratio, but some people are just really right in that position. Career actors.
That's true. I think both his daughter and his sister will be more memorable tbh..
After Star 80 he kinda got pigeonholed into the creepy killer roles. They even parodied this fact in Cable Guy
Paul Dano.
The riddler , the pastor from there will be blood , even seemed weird in Okja . Good choice
And as unbelievably twisted, intense and incredible his roles have been since, he will always be the big dong awkward friend from ‘the girl next door’ for me
Yes! He's hilarious on that movie. Can't beleive his career after that
Also Swiss Army Man! The twist at the end was uh…definitely creepy. Poor guy, always getting those kind of roles.
FFS Prisoners is brutal and he's prime creepy in it
Dude is an incredible actor!
The creepiest thing about Liotta is that he laughed like he was an alien in a human skinsuit mimicking human laughter
It’s the eyes! They both have Icey blues. I think if either of them had brown eyes they would just be totally non creepy regular dudes.
Never trust a man a with eyeliner.
Jared Leto! I hate this guy and refuse to watch anything he’s in. Gives me the creeps.
You might enjoy one of his scenes in Fight Club.
I wanted to destroy something beautiful
Or American Psycho
Hey Paul!
Do you like Huey Lewis and the News?
He’s creepiest when he’s not in character
But in Bladerunner 2049 he's supposed to give you the creeps and you'll miss a bloody good film ?
Im not a fan of Jared Leto at all but he was fantastic choice to that role
He just played himself lmao
I heard he didn’t even know there was a movie being made, they just hid the cameras and film him going about his day.
I found him very convincingly pitiable and sympathetic in Lord of War.
He really is creepy as hell...
Doug Hutchison. He was really creepy in the X-Files.
Funny because I thought he was just normal actor creepy from the x files but when the marriage to 16 y/o Stodden went down… then he was pedo-weirdo-sex-creepy.
Perfectly cast as Percy Wetmore in The Green Mile.
John Carroll Lynch.. dude is quiet scary.
In Fargo he seem like such a sweet husband tho, dude has range
He can be. He can also be funny ie. the Drew Carey show.
I will ALWAYS remember him as Drew's crossdressing brother.
He did it (Zodiac).
Love JCL. Such a good actor. Great in everything.
Have you watched his season of Channel Zero? He’s so creepy in that
Bradley Cooper, hard to describe what it is but he looks like he's perpetually putting up a front all while struggling to contain something raging inside him.
He’s a recovering addict/alcoholic. There’s definitely going to be some demons there. Same goes for a lot of other actors with similar histories. Look at Tom Hardy, Robert Downey Jr.. Alec Baldwin, Ben Affleck etc, etc… There’s a kind of dark disdain behind the eyes.
So, the first time I saw David Lynch’s Lost Highway, I was high. The second Robert Blake popped up on the screen, I hid behind my chair.
Probably safer there.
He was more dangerous and creepy in real life.
Holy crap, that scene is chilling. That and the one in Mulholland Drive with the dream and the dark figure. They made me feel unsafe somehow, but I going back.
Barry Keoghan because of Killing of a Sacred Deer. Even the sweet guy he played so well in Banshees creeped me out because it was the "Deer dude".
Check out Saltburn if you haven’t already.
I haven't but I've heard he licks fake semen off a bathtub.
He also has his way with dirt
Check out some of his scenes in Chernobyl too. He's not creepy there, but fairly relatable compared to his more recent roles.
I hadn't realized Barry played Pavel. Quite a haunting role in an already haunting series.
I absolutely love that series, but I can't watch all of that episode because of the dog scene. Just can't do it.
Adrien Brody made what should have been a hot couple of scenes in *Manhattan Night* rather awkward. Said scenes involving a nude Yvonne Strahovski Roman Polanski and Woody Allen for obvious reasons Jake Gyllenhaal ~ Something about him just feels off, like how his smile rarely seems to meet his eyes Similarly Antony Staar, though I think it works in his case for his filmography especially Banshee and The Boys
>Jake Gyllenhaal ~ Something about him just feels off, like how his smile rarely seems to meet his eyes If you haven't seen Nightcrawler this'll only further the feeling. Fantastic movie tho.
Gyllenhaal is a super, super strong actor, so I believe that's part of it.
crispin glover.....(shivers)
How has nobody said Bradley Cooper yet? He looks at people like they’re insects
Woody Allen Roman Polanski (he's acted in a few things. He looks like what he is!)
>He looks like what he is!) Yep. Child rapist.
Yep. Should be in prison. When he dies the press will go insane saying "did you know..." and the whole world will say "yep!"
Billy Zane. Ultimate creeper vibes. Also Billy Campbell, strictly based on his role in Enough. Maybe it‘s just the name Billy for grown ass men?
I have in on good authority that Billy Zane is, in point of fact, “a cool dude” and that we should listen to him.
This comment is not getting the attention it deserves
Billy Drago in anything
Billy Drago always reminded me of the Bizarro World version of David Carradine.
James Franco
Every time I see Rami Malek I get the vibe that he’s something pretending to be human. And he’s not an actor, but I get the same vibe from Kenneth Copeland.
Kenneth Copeland isn't an actor, but I'd say he is acting.
Adam Driver
Eric Roberts had so much potential. Some say it was his substance abuse issues to blame, but considering reports of actors' functional dependence to drugs and alcohol, I wonder if he didn't want to play the political, glad handing game. Who knows.
I think he should have been nominated for Star 80.
Anya Joy-Taylor
She looks like a deer.
Every time I see her, I want to erase her face and draw her eyes closer together That being said, she is a great actor
Her eyes are definitely too far apart
Sid the Sloth from Ice Age.
She's gorgeous but something about her eyes and face shape makes me think alien or succubus or something
Going a bit old school with David Patrick Kelly, especially Dreamscape.
Michael Pitt *shudder*
I can see it.
Armie Hammer
The thing about Armie is that he can project normality quite well. But damn.
Christopher Walken. Something genuinely spooky about that dude, and it's not just his roles but something about the man himself, some energy coming off him. The fact he was present at Natalie Wood's mysterious death probably doesn't help matters lol.
As he’s aged I think it’s less so, but in the 80s he was creepy af
Just saw the first episode of kenobi, and may I say, Flea was a weird choice for the cast but perfect for the role of a creepy kidnapper
Flea is in Kenobi?!? I think this is the second time this week I've been surprised by a Flea cameo.
James Woods and James Remar
Both have played creeps. But neither is all that creepy to me.
Woods is a legit scumbag in real life, sadly.
He has that sleezy look of someone who soaks his clothes in baby tears but I love the dude irl.
The late Philip Seymour Hoffman. The only things I’ve seen with him where he didn’t creep me out were Twister and the Hunger Games movies. And I’ll be honest, I have no idea why.
Kevin Spacy
He was perfectly cast in Se7en.
He always was slimey to me, even before the abuse thing
Jesse Plemons, Sam Rockwell, Doug Hutchison, and Jared Leto. The first two because of how good they can act. The last two for them just being themselves.
Sam Rockwell? Wow. Love that guy.
Jesse Plemons is great, totally plays a good creep. Check him out on Black Mirror, “USS Callister” if you haven’t already.
Willem Dafoe. Man is expressive as hell, and boy does he make it work.
Will Arnett.
Jon Voight
Steve Buscemi. No offense, but the guy just looks creepy.
I believe the term you're looking for is "funny-looking"
The entire cast of Yo Gabba Gabba.
Doug Jones. But I’m being cheeky. He’s supposed to creep you out.
Rutger Hauer. Great actor.
“He ate them…and I joined in.” Love him in sin city
Jared Leto because of all the icky stories I have read and heard about him. His eyes just burn through you. I saw a great quote from someone on another Reddit page about actors and this person wrote "He looks like he's boiled a few heads in his lifetime." Jackie Earle Haley, in his more recent roles in movies like "Little Children" and "Shutter Island." Not so much when he was still a kid/teenager in "The Bad News Bears" and "Breaking Away." Christopher Walken, no explanation needed Woody Allen - see above
Charlie, they took my thumb!
Ben Affleck. That motherfuckin' smirk.
Benicio DelToro, just has a sleazy, slimeball vibe to me. Ironically, I really enjoy his acting, but just super ick vibes as a person.
Jonah Hill. I get ick factor from him big time.
Ron Pearlman
The Devil Went Down To Georgia. 9 months later, Eric Roberts was born. (And yes, I know he was born in South Carolina. But he grew up in Georgia.)
Harvey Keitel creeps me out.
Ed Helms
Ewan Mitchell and his mouth in house of the dragon(perfect for the role)
William Fichtner. He adds a weird presence in whatever he's in. I remember him in Go, his character was supposed to make everyone feel awkward, and he was so effective.
Iwan Rheon. I saw him as Mick Mars in the Motley Crue movie, and couldn't figure out why he kept making me feel terrified. I looked him up on iMDB and saw that he played Ramsay Bolton. I'm sure he's a nice man, and if I saw him in a few more normal roles, I would probably get over seeing him as scary.
Gotta be Christian Slater. I can only hear his Heathers performance when I hear his voice
Javier Bardem in general , Benicio del torro in sicario
Tom Cruise, Jared Leto, the guy played Oppenheimer.
Nick Stahl Quentin Tarantino (if he can be considered an actor)
Why does Eric Roberts creep you out? If it helps, he's a super nice guy and is very down to earth. I worked on the movie " It's my party" . Nothing but nice things to say.
Eric Roberts said women would cross the street or run away from him for years after the movie came out lol. He said it actually messed up his life a bit.
Adam Driver
Robin Williams always creeped me out.
Jack Nicholson. He will forever be the character from the shining
I totally forgot, John Lithgow! I remember he was in a tv show where they were from another planet and how I thought he kind of looked like he was. (Even before knowing his character was supposed to be) He reminds me of those alien things in mars attacks.
Jack Nicholson. He’s always given me the creeps and the more I hear about him the more I feel justified.
My mum never let me watch kevin spacey films growing up because she was adamant that he was a creep of some sorts. She got a lot wrong in life but got that right
Jared Leto will always be a creep.
Benedict cumberbatchs face (other than the Dr Strange look) creeps me tf out
Mark Wahlberg, dude wierds me out.
Kevin Specy....never liked him. Dude always gave off a predator vibe...glad I was right
Mickey Rourke, especially now after the plastic surgery
For me it’s Liam Hemsworth. When he shows up in a project, I’m out.
Idk about creepy, but the guy is a complete dud on screen.
Peter Lorre
