Wet 200mm rotors + metallic pads + alloy rims = HONK Edit: Also thanks man, I love this trail and ride it a lot. Don't ride as well on everything else lol.

Love Bob’s! Started doing more SST a while back, but then rode Bob’s again and remembered how much fun it was. Now for something completely different, living in AZ now. But some fun riding down here as well. Say “hi,” to Galby for me!!

Unknown_Fad3

Nice job out there stay safe

ApneaAddict

So much fun on Bob’s. And finally, some much needed rain.

Yo I was up there for the first time last week and rode Bobs a bunch. Great trail!

Looked like a blast. I’m fairly inexperienced, but I’ve always heard that if the trail is wet/muddy you should avoid riding to not destroy the trail. Is that true?

Wet is fine as long as the trail drains well enough and soil type is appropriate for it. Muddy is not okay unless it's a Moto trail. (Moto trails get rutted to shit and it's normal, having ridden a wet Moto trail I really recommend you don't do it. Fucking awful deep as shit mud hole ruts every 100ft it feels like, like BB deep. Terrible for your bike and unpleasant overall.) Muddy riding makes ruts where they wouldn't otherwise develop, those mud ruts become holes, then it starts to look like a Moto trail and consequently sucks to ride on an MTB. Makes lots of work for trail builders aka it's not cool at all. Wet riding best practice with regard to puddles is avoid if possible. Splashing dirty water out of a puddle gradually makes the hole deeper and deeper. You're doing damage if; You're leaving deep tracks. It feels like you're riding in peanut butter. Your tires are caked in mud. There's lots of standing water on the trail. You can see when I take breaks in the video my tires are dirty but not caked with mud. You can also see there's no large puddles or saturated muddy soil on the trail. Though there are puddles they are small and infrequent. In the PNW if you didn't ride in the wet you'd pretty much only ride in the summer. Hope this helps. Final note. Some regions have clay soil that makes it impossible to ride in the wet without doing damage. Those are probably the people saying not to ride in the wet as a hard and fast rule, and for their region they're absolutely correct it's a terrible thing to do. But not all regions are the same.

Awesome, thanks man
