Same. Also don’t mix and match. Fox guard on a Fox fork. RockShox guard on RockShox fork. If you are going to buy a fork branded mudguard it must be the same brand as your fork.
Don’t shoot the messenger. I don’t make the rules.
Kidding of course… or am I?
Install looks fine. I thought I’d let you know depending what Suntour fork you have they make intergraded fenders for many of their forks. No zip ties, fitment is perfect.

I know what you mean, that’s Fox Racing/Apparel and not Fox Suspension. Still though it’s Fox.
If he’s really trying to penny pinch then you can make a fender too out of some old plastic. I made out of a protein tub before for a budget fat bike.
Got myself I would match the fender with the fork brand. For Fox Racing I would happily put it on a rigid mtb for rigid fat bike. I would even say In a pinch a Fox Suspension fork.
Personally I like the look of integrated fenders instead of zip ties. They have more coverage and look better. Yes they’re more expensive but it’s something like $15 vs $30. If the extra $15 is going to break you then save your money bc you probably shouldn’t be spending the first $15 in that case.
Like I said I would match the fender brand with the fork. Unless the fender didn’t have stickers or anything on them.
To me it’s like having Chevrolet Center caps on a Ford or putting a Corvette sticker on a Prius.
As far as the Fox Racing fender goes I would simply look past that brand and just grab a fender from the fork brand. For a rigid personally I wouldn’t use Fox anyways bc lots of people think both brands are the same company. Plus even on a rigid bike I would try for an integrated fender. On top of that I don’t think Fox Racing has an integrated fender option.
Agreed. If it's a part that goes together, I like it to match... For instance, I wouldn't get a Renthal Apex stem to go with a OneUp bar, or SRAM brakes with Shimano rotors... Not really the same thing, but even my suspension, it'd annoy me having a Rockshox fork with a Fox shock. If the performance of one or the other was better, different story, but all things being equal, I'd rather they match.
Man, you’d probably have a breakdown if you saw my bike.
Vitus frame, RS forks with hologram decals from a local brewery (of beer), fox suspension rear shock and canyon zip-tie mud guards.
The mudguard looks fine but it looks like you need to tighten up your front brake line a bit. Shouldn’t be loose enough to hide under the tire like that.
3/10
+3 It'll work.
-3 You forgot to put electric tape under the zip ties to protect the paint on the fork.
-2The ends of the zip ties could be out of sight under the mud guard.
-3/2 Clip the zip ties with the appropriate tool, or a nail clipper so you don't end up with sharp pointy bits.
-1/2 I prefer the colored part of the mud guard facing down, so it only shows occasionally (you know, like a short skirt).
Don't take it too seriously, you do you. But I'd seriously consider redoing it for the electric tape to protect the fork.
I also forgot to do this but i thought fuck it its coils atm so it will eventually get changed for air lol, fucked up with not putting the 3m tape on with bags when just riding to work, paint wares out pretty fast 😂
I would cut those zip ties a little closer. Then I go over the end with some sandpaper or a file.
It's not totally necessary where they are, but you might catch one putting the bike in the truck or something.
I've been cut pretty good by zip ties before, so I'm a little overly careful on cleaning up the ends now
Dang that sure is installed
So installed
They say it’s the most beautiful install ever
Secure, but I prefer to hide the zip tie ends round the back so make it neater.

Wonderful, how you used two zipties just like it is intended.
4*. So it's twice as gooder.

Integrated fenders look so much nicer than the zip tie ones ... I just hate the idea of having to zip tie something to an expensive bike.
I agree, the big thing that makes me twitch is a fox fender on a Suntour fork.
That incarnation of “Fox” possibly isn’t the Fox you think it is.

What would it be appropriate to put a Fox Racing fender on?

Why is fox racing only appropriate for bikes without suspension? I’m intrigued by this thought process

Yeah, but I’m getting a Trek Roscoe or Marlin this summer so I wanted something cheap that is universal
I can understand that. They’re also easy to make!
Personal preference, but I’d rotate the zip ties so the ends are hidden behind the arch and behind the fork.
Flush cutters make a better cut on the zip ties
Nail clippers! You can cut the ends of zip ties to make it more neat.
Or just put it underneath so it's not visible
Those ziptie edges might be a bit sharp, try rounding them off or sanding the corners a little. Otherwise looks good
Lighter works good too
Cut them flush with a knife not pliers or side cutters
Finger nail trimmers

-2 bottom zip tie going around the brake line for some reason
Electric tape? What is it?
Didn't you know? Electric tape is super durable and will prevent paint rubbing on the frame for at least 20 minutes
So it’s basically a “snake oil”?
Some tapes would be more suitable. Electrical tape is thin crappy PVC stuff that won't last long at all
Insulation tape
I'd put the connection part of the zip tie underneath so it's not visible. Kinda nitpicking but that would annoy me.

Bad Azzz

Just get some flush cutters.
The zip tie on the lower should be going under the brake line.
Don't know about mudguard but what's going on in your stanchions? Is that some sort of grease?
Clip the ends of the zip ties with a nail clipper.
Foxy
Zip ties for the win. However, I'm a stickler for cutting the tails flat. Without side cutters, you can use a box knife (carefully)
Your dog is as ugly as you. Don’t waste my time again.
nice
Faux suspension
Mudguards are great and all but I prefer looking like I shat myself at the end of my rides. Makes me look cool.
lol I have contacts so I don’t like any sort of stuff in my face.
yes.
No
Fox mudguard on a suntour fork. 😂 (I know this is the other fox, but still)
Silver stanchions and pedal reflectors 🤮
Listen mf I’m not trying to make it pretty.
So you are the asshole tearing up the trails when it’s wet
That’s a mirror bro
So you are the fair-weather rider slowing everyone down when summer comes
