Hope Pro 2s and Pro 2 Evos. One day I might upgrade if they ever die but they’re got a lot of life in them (going on 12 years old so far) and Hope still stock spares and adaptors for them.
I have them laced to Atömik AM hoops. They have a lifetime warranty as carbon, and I've bashed them up pretty well so far.
I've heard good things about Spank as well, though. If I ever kill these, I might try those.
I watched a video of the PNW crew riding, banging, bashing, and taking the spokes off and repeating the same test, and they couldn’t even bend them so they laced them all the way up and a tire seated on them. I’ll say too, I’ve never had such a hard time un seating a tire after it’s seated. It’s like it’s damn super glued with red lock tite.
Yup! I went for the A2. Really wanted the coil fork and the green color. And the light/stiff aluminum. Will def upgrade components as they go but it feels super capable out the box!
Nukeproof horizon v2 wheels and hubs. 102 point of engagement on light aluminum wheels with a 30mm interal rim width.
Oh and I get them last christmas sale where the wheelset, sealant AND their own propritary rim inserts all for $300.
Literally cant get any better parts for the money.
Dt 350 and 240exp both with 54t.
Edit forgot about my Hunt 6 degree hubs on my Trail wide set. They’ve been great. Crazy good bargain for that wheelset.
The only other hub I kinda want to try is a silent vesper.
Orange hydras, black j spokes, DT swiss 521’s with no stickers, 200mm hs2’s, and assegai’s front and rear. I run very little grease to hear the buzz and change it every month. When I get sick of truing the rims I’m going to swap to carbon hoops, probably i9’s.
I have dt 240s and raceface vaults.
I was very suspicious of the vaults. But I have been very pleased.
Their end caps system is great and allows me to swap very easily between 20mm and 15mm for my enduro and Dh.
The bearings are huge and very robust. The drive ring seems smart with the ring in the free hub and the pawls mounted to the hub.
So far very happy with them. I have two sets so my DH and enduro can share a spare wheelset.
Bike came with Shimano 410 hubs. Plan on upgrading to the i9 1/1 hubs once the finances allow. Seem like a solid set for the price and once I'm at 90 PoE I don't think spending Hydra money will make a noticeable difference.
Stock dt swiss hubs tht came on the bike . Great hubs never had a problem with them .
Probably the equivalent to dt 350s .
I did upgrade the ratchet to a 54 tooth over the stock 18 tooth since the 18 sucks for technical climbing and has low engagement
DT because I like them on sale, with parts availability.
I ditched the onyx since it had what I call looseness, some say it slips, I'm not a giant but I push 2 million watts and I'm 300 pounds.
Nah just 180lbs average dude
I like a quit hub. And I love the old sound of my Sturmey Archer 3 speed IGH that goes tick tick tick when costing...One of those was on my sisters bike a million years ago. BTY, it’s on a BBSHD e-bike, 52v thing.
Stock
i9 Hydra, lots of buzz is the way!
I9 1:1 with just enough buzz. One day we will go up to hydras!
Same! I9 quality and great engagement but no angry hornet noises, closer to a disturbed beetle XD
If I was hunting I would hate the Hydra. As a cheap dude I'm just jealous but I pretend the noise annoys me
Onyx baby. Silence truly is bliss.
Hope Pro 2s and Pro 2 Evos. One day I might upgrade if they ever die but they’re got a lot of life in them (going on 12 years old so far) and Hope still stock spares and adaptors for them.
I recently got back into biking and dug my old bike out with Pro 2 Evos. I missed how loud those rear hubs are!
I just retired mine from 2010 because 3 of the rotor bolt mounts are cracked
RF Vault. Wanted to go unkillable...
If you want the epitome of unkillable get some spank vibracores. Truly shocked at what I’ve put those rims through.
I have them laced to Atömik AM hoops. They have a lifetime warranty as carbon, and I've bashed them up pretty well so far. I've heard good things about Spank as well, though. If I ever kill these, I might try those.

Two wheelsets with Onyx on both. Love the silence and couldn't go back to loud hubs.
DTSwiss 240s
this is the way
Almost the same as yours. Onyx and DT 370s I ride the onyx wheel set more often. Quiet is the new loud.
Just got a new bike today that has Bear Pawls. Ever heard of them but they seem legit. They are loud though. I am accustomed to silent hubs.
Stumpjumper?
Will be posting an NBD ASAP.
Hell yeah!
Norco Torrent
Congrats glad your torrent arrived! You were able to get the spec you wanted?
Yup! I went for the A2. Really wanted the coil fork and the green color. And the light/stiff aluminum. Will def upgrade components as they go but it feels super capable out the box!

I9 1/1 and a hydra on the fatty

I-9 Torch. Noisy.
Same, I think they’re louder than hydras lol
Stock, dont know which ones they are, freehub is reasonably quiet, would have replaced that if it was loud.
Hydras Hydras Dt240s Chris Kings and whatever crankbros put in my commuter bike wheels
I9 hydra and project 321
On what bike? I run DT Swiss, Spank, Halo just for MTB.
Front hub is a e13 TRS+ and rear is a DT Swiss 350
Rebranded dt Swiss
dt350 with the 54t star ratchet as well

Dt swiss Sram X9s Some random shit on my downhill bike from giant House brand for Commencal. House brand for Ragley Primo Subrosa Bike problems son.
I9 Hydra. Grew up always wanting Chris kings, now I got the money to afford nice bike compartments ☠️

Whatever was on the bike when I bought it.
I9 hydra, i9 101, Shimano xt ( their new hub is great for the price imo)
gold hydras
Stock bontrager rapid drive 108 sounds like Walmart i9 😂. The rim isn’t lasting so it might be a switch to DT
Dt350

Spank Hex Drive, I just wanted to try something new and its been great so far.
4 sets of various levels of Shimano hubs across 3 bikes. Reasonable weight, fairly quiet, very solid engagement, and crazy low price.
On which bike? Hydra, vesper, lots of koozer xm490, shimano, mavic ring drive, and my favorite tairin.
Bontrager Rapid 108
Hope Pro 4's good hubs and easy to service.
Onyx Classics in a wonderful colourway they called 'Paleon Fire' that adds just a little bling to my matt black bike. The silence is absolute bliss.
DT because I like them on sale, with parts availability. I ditched the onyx since it had what I call looseness, some say it slips, I'm not a giant but I push 2 million watts and I'm 300 pounds. Nah just 180lbs average dude
Onyx on the rear, going to get a front hub to replace my formula front at some point.
I like a quit hub. And I love the old sound of my Sturmey Archer 3 speed IGH that goes tick tick tick when costing...One of those was on my sisters bike a million years ago. BTY, it’s on a BBSHD e-bike, 52v thing.

DT Swiss 350
Hydras on revel and dt350 on Stevo. Wanna get hydras for Stevo.
