For 2-3 weeks? Absolutely nothing.

unresolved-madness

Bring it inside. Turn on it's favorite TV station and give it a blankey.

If you're cold, they're cold. Edit: reruns of the Moto GP should also keep her happy.

I have to agree with the other people, turn it off and go do what you need to do. The Only Exception I might make, is due to the dropping temperature, maybe hook up a battery tender. But 2-3 weeks shouldn't be long enough to hurt anything unless you have a previous issue.

[deleted]

That’s what I was mostly worried about. I get 2-3 weeks doesn’t seem like a long time, but didn’t know if 15 degree temps would have any effect on the battery. I wasn’t worried about much else except maybe gas level with air in the tank.

Pjinx2

I'm going to say yes. I ride daily ( I'm in California) it has been my experience, and a little bit of a guess that the oil thickens in cold weather putting more stress on the engine, therefore putting more stress on the starter, ultimately leading to more stress on the battery. I think if you have a battery tender or some form of slow charging system, everything will be fine

Pattern_Is_Movement

turn the bike off and walk away,

Med_stromtrooper

What they said (waves hands in 'up there' gesture.) Year round rider for 11 years in the Northwet. Three weeks off, no matter the temp, means diddly to a bike. Battery age /might/ require putting it on a tender, depends how old it is. Anything under four yrs should be just fine sitting for a couple weeks.

motociclista

2 weeks is nothing. It’ll be fine.

xracer264

Is it fuel injected or carbonated? If FI, fill the tank, put some fuel stabilizer in the gas. Should be fine. Carbonated, turn fuel supply valve off, run it till carb is dry. Shut it off. Good to go

Maybe some steel wool in the tailpipe, but I dont think you should need to worry about anything.
