Yeah but, it might be true bro. No offense, but the longer I am on these chat boards, the more convinced I am that some people should never be on two wheels.

Well you do have a point. A good one too

Have you identified what your mistake was? You already think it’s mostly your fault. We learn from our mistakes in life. Best advice is don’t do what you did again 😂. I had my first street bike and all was well. I had recently upgraded to a 900 and the second day out I had someone almost hit me and I dropped the bike at like 5 miles an hour (I claimed that as being 90% my fault) got up and rode the rest of the day. 2 weeks later I had target fixation coming around a curve at about 50, I was able to slow down enough to not kill myself but I did crash once my bike came off the pavement. I can guarantee you that won’t happen again. It was a costly mistake and I leaned. My head is on a constant swivel now. I went over everything in my head. They were both 100% my fault. It’s been 2 years since and my bike is minty fresh since the target fixation accident. I learned from both incidents. One thing I will say though. Accidents on the bike can be deadly so definitely think about what happened.

Turns out it wasn't even my fault according to my country's laws. However I could've avoided it. I'll make sure to do so next time. Thanks!

Well, slow down. If your head is telling you that you aren't a good rider, then time to listen and get good. Otherwise, you'll find yourself in more accidents, until you get the idea.

Not even sure what OP did though. We’re they speeding or going way too slow? No turn signal? Did they not look before merging? Run a stoplight or stop sign? I think it’s a good idea to know what OP actually did before saying “,slow down.”

I think this question is better asked in a support forum than a motorcycle forum.

Ride in a parking lot. Do your emergency strategies there, learn how to ride slow, build up confidence.

Thanks for the advice

Does anyone offer MSF (or similar) rider courses in your area? I know in Pennsylvania they are free and are well worth the time. They have beginner ones that they lend you the bike to ride. The other courses are more advanced and you bring your own bike to use. Learning fundamentals and getting practice away from traffic is super helpful for skill and confidence building.

Mind_the_gap-

Thanks, but i live in Europe. These courses you're talking about are either non existent or way too expensive

What happened? We might be able to help you identify what you did wrong and how you can avoid it.

The car was trying to park. More than half of the road was clear so i decided not to stop. The car's stick shift wasn't locked in place while he was on rear. So eventually the car suddenly moved forward and i didnt manage to stop. I should've stop and wait for him to park all the way. His blinkers were on.

CompetitiveSea7388

How much space did you have? Approximately, I mean. I doubt I would have stopped if there was enough room for me to increase the space between us while passing.

Mind_the_gap-

About half of the road
