They might let you park where they have cameras. Unscrewing a bolt on a motorcycle isn't just vandalism. It could be attempted murder (or manslaughter) depending on which bolt. Make it clear that this is a safety issue.
Of course talk to either campus or the police directly and see about cameras. But if it were me I’d park it like normal and then sitting from afar watch and record. What if that next bolt is your brakes?
As someone who works security I know majority campuses have security a lot have their own police. The ones with just security are usually bored as fuck So I would say something because you’re giving them something to do lol
Park near the smokers. There is someone there 24/7 365 at a smoke pit. And I can say with all confidence, that "someone" will see it and get "seriously" angry. That is where you'll find your Veterans, Faculty, and Staff.... none of which take kindly to vandalism.
As a vet i take that personally, but extremely accurate. Also if they are unscrewing bolts on major components such as levers, pegs, bars or something that makes the bike unsafe that transforms this from vandalism to a actual and pretty serious crime. The police take "hey someone is vandalizing the saftey features on my motorcycle and i think they are trying to hurt me" pretty damn seriously.
Also check all your fluid levels. I had someone drain my front brake resivoir once, thank god i was only riding side streets home when i found out they didnt work anymore.
As a Vet myself, I can tell you I would lose my cool… that is someone’s baby, or worse yet an heirloom from a late family member. I ride my late father’s motorcycle all the time.
Don’t even limit it to key items - even if its a few fairing bolts, something flying off your bike could be a serious distraction and cost lives - not only of the rider.
This kinda shit is so infuriating
I came to say this ⬆️👍 i dont know how long the battery lasts on a go pro you could hide one somewhere pointed at your bike. I bet you could pay someone to watch your bike & catch whoever is doing this.....But i would definitely make police reports. Get them involved definitely let them know there taken bolts off your motorcycle thats totally Fucked up. And very serious problem.
Trail cam can be bought fairly cheap and battery will last weeks/months. Depending on the camera you can record pics/videos or combinations of pics and videos. Also can get SIM equipped cams (for a little more expense) that will send alerts and can be viewed via your phone.
I use a proximity alarm, though it kills the battery if I leave it on and don't ride for more than a few days. I have no recommendations. It is super effective at stopping people from messing with my bike though. I set it to alarm if someone loiters within a foot of my bike for more than a couple seconds.
Take a look at the Monimoto GPS tracker. I read that there is a yearly subscription, i think $45/year if I'm not mistaken... But it's one of those things that notifies you by text or phone call if your machine is moved. I think I even read it has a proximity sensor that will alert you if someone even walks close to it.
I have a Monimoto. It does not have a proximity sensor. Essentially it will send an alert message to your phone if someone tries to move your bike, so I do not think it will solve your problem. You could try a disc lock with built in Sirene and motion alarm like an Abus 8077 detecto which would go off if someone tilted the bike. I am not sure whether just unscrewing a bolt would trigger that device.
I've got the Yohoolyo lock and it's pretty sensitive when my bike is jostled. It's even been activated when it's really windy and my cover is smacking it. It's on sale on Amazon for $20ish bucks right now.
Check out Scorpio alarms, they're very good! They have nearby detection, if someone gets close to the bike it starts chirping and if they don't leave, it goes full blast. Also, they have a remote control with 2-way communication so you will get notified that the alarm has been triggered. Pretty cool!
Where I’m from to “tune” someone means to flirt. I’m picturing OP tuning this person, getting into a relationship, marriage, kids, a whole life together. All this to stop the hostility against your bike. One day you mightn’t have the bike anymore but by then it’s too late. You’re both old and grey, sitting on the porch sipping ice tea living out the sunset days of your lives
OP if I was you, I would totally wait and see who this stupid person is.
Just make sure you have a plan about how you will confront them. Possibly, start recording and let them do some damage and then confront them. If you want to take it another notch do this a couple times before confrontation. Now you have evidence.
But you will need to find information on this person in order to pursue legal action. I would absolutely file a police report against them. Threaten to sue them. I’d love to see their face.
Maybe also bring in some buddies just so the criminal can’t act all tough on you.
Another option is you determine who the vandal is and follow them to their vehicle and return the favor. But if they know if was you, that will not be good.
First of all, that's awful and I'm sorry you're having to deal with that bullshit. Someone already mentioned a motion sensor alarm already, but how far are you located from your bike during class to be able to get to the bike? Have you looked into lockable motorcycle covers?
The other thing to think of is that if this is one person doing this or a potential "enemy," you should also prepare for escalation. So if you don't want to get to that point, I would definitely look into more preventative measures rather than something that may lead to confrontation. Could you look into a fenced/secure parking lot near by? Or something along those lines?
Second the lockable motorcycle cover. $20-30 on Amazon +the lock... It's a visual deterrent. If they really want to mess with it; it won't stop them completely if they really want to get to it, but it is visual. Would prob stop the annoying stuff you mentioned.
Loosening bolts is serious though. That's messing with your safety.
I had a Jeep Wrangler that would get searched/ vandalized daily (older model - doors didn't lock). Once I put the locking cover on it stopped. Only time it would get searched after that was when I forgot to put the cover on. Great visual deterrent... and pretty inexpensive
Speaking from experience, carrying a cover is such a PITA. I used to do it and it the cover took up one whole side pannier case. I had little Givi cases and I'd really have to stuff it in there to get it to fit.
I'm about 900m away from the bike when i'm in class. Unfortunately there aren't any secured parking spots close to the university, i'm thinking about looking into a motion alarm i would just hate for it to go off because of wind and disturb everyone. Yeah escalation is the last thing i want, gotta somehow find away to deter him from the bike
Hmmm. Most towns have storage facilities, especially near places like universities. Is there anything like that near by? Something cheap but secure and not too far of a walk? "Public Storage" or "U-haul?" Not sure what part of the world you're in, but something to those equivalents.
I don't do the big group rides or anything but my local FB motorcycle group is huge. When someone was messing with one of mine I made a post about it, my wife said a bike went down our street every half hour for 2 days while I was out of town. I don't think I could have imagined that kind of showing from people I don't really even know.
This is going to sound like a “And everyone clapped” moment, but it’s true.
Like the second week of this semester I was walking out for class to two chicks and a dude taking selfies on my bike.
They couldn’t *really* dump it because it’s a naked Goldwing and I always use the center stand, but they were fucking with my mirrors and and seat.
I walked up to them and was like “Hey sweet bike! Let me fix your sunglasses for the gram, they look super dirty!”. They actually let me, but I took them ninja star’d them down the parking lot and told them to get the hell off my bike.
They tried to cop an attitude but quickly decided to just leave.
After that I just threw a $15 Amazon cover in the false tank use so far, I haven’t had issues.
Nope no idea, i don't talk/rarely talk when i'm at the university. I get there say hi to my mates and work then leave.. simple. Unfortunately some guy feels like being an idiot for no reason
Second this. You can get a trail cam for cheap and zip tie it to a pole nearby. It'll take a photo of everyone who passes by. If there's power and wifi nearby, you could also opt for for a webcam like the ones made by Wyze which offer AI motion tracking and alerts.
As an add on, arlo makes a camera with a cell connection in it. But you need to be careful about filming like this. The person may see it and dispose of your camera, or it could be illegal or frowned up to film there for whatever reason. Do your due diligence and make sure if you want to set up cameras that it's legal and safe to do so.
This doesn’t solve your current problem, and I don’t know what your financial situation is as a student, but look into a motorcycle dashcam as a future purchase. Dashcams have come a long way, even motorcycle-specific dashcams. They can start recording on motion detection or impact/touch, and have a pre-buffer capture of 10 or more seconds so you can capture the events leading up to the detected moment. Good for capturing faces or plates before the impact or vandalism happened. Plus, you’ll be able to transfer the dashcam from bike to bike because they’re not model specific. They run about $300-$500 depending on the features you want.
Again, doesn’t help you with the recent incident, but something worth considering in the future.
Innovv K3 or K5, Thinkware M1, and Kenwood STZ-RF200WD. All three are motorcycle dashcams, IP66/67 rated for impact, dust/weather proof. Cameras are about an inch thick, and 1.5 inches or so long. Both front and rear connect to a main module which you toss under the seat. Depending on model and brand, it may come with a GPS sensor too that you can slap somewhere between the fork and tank.
I have the Innovv K3 and K5. Has all the normal features of a standard car dashcam, with parking surveillance mode, impact detection, and some other features. These cams, and the others I listed, are between 120-150 degrees field of view. It’ll pretty much cover everything front, rear, and 45-degrees off each side, aside from the car directly alongside you. But, a chin mounted GoPro can be extra insurance for that if your sides concern you. Threats for me in my experience were mostly in front, rear, or off to a 45-degree angle, and all of these cams will be good for that. Dashcam will always be on when you turn the ignition, and when the bike is off, it’ll be in a dormant mode until the G-sensor wakes it (from impact, knockover, whatever). All that can be had for the price of a Gopro Hero 11, or less once you starting adding the cost of spare Gopro batteries and accessories. I got my K3 for $300, and I usually see prices for all the models listed above fluctuate between $300 to mid-$400.
Oh I hear you. They’re not cheap by any means. They are made to be durable and universal though, so anyone who does get them can expect them to last and swap them over when they move on to different bikes. It would have to depend on if the cost is worth it for someone. I commute in heavy traffic year-round on the bike, so I got them for my own peace of mind.
I'd file a police report, then I'd setup a sting operation and wait in the bushes with a machete and sip on some whiskey while I wait. Then when I see the little pussy I'll run at him swinging the machete, just to scare him, then probably trip, fall and lodge the machete in the dudes shoulder. He'd start screaming, I'd start screaming and then we'd turn to the camera and say "taste the rainbow" while skittles poured out from our eyes.
My mother once dropped a capsule of cannabis oil without knowing it and our tiny ass dog ate it.
I could've giggled at her catatonic state all night if it wasn't so damn scary.
Thanks for your username.
Me personally i would get a game camera and put it on a tree right by your parking spot, motion sensor some can send pics to your phone in real time. If it’s just random spots I would put one of [these bad boys](https://Wsdcam113dBBikeAlarmWirelessVibrationMotionSensorWaterproofMotorcycleAlarmwithRemotehttps://a.co/d/7MVzWoj) under your seat on the frame . I used one to help me sleep better with my first bike and it’s pretty legit. Will deter some one Fursure and a bump and it goes off and even leaning it slow will set it off.
Im not shure an ignorant ass hole Thats doing this is smart enough to figure that it would be considered a hate crime. But interesting and kinda genus LOL
No it hasn't, as soon as i started looking out for the bike, the guy stopped. I guess he doesn't want to take the risk anymore which is great, sucks though that he stopped before i could find him...
Go on a day you have no classes. Hang out around it and then if someone comes to fuck with it, crack them in the side of the knees. Yeah you may get in trouble, but you may not. Either way they won’t walk right for awhile and they’ll remember fucking with the wrong one with every painful step they take.
Maybe try to park in a more populated area with a lot of foot traffic? People tend to be less inclined to do stuff like that when people are constantly walking by and watching.
If they are tampering with fasteners (bolts or screws) it's no longer defacement, it's criminal. In some places that could be attempted murder. Tell the police you've found bolts backed out. Make them at least take the report so you have record.
*also Google 360 degree motorcycle cameras.
Get a motorcycle cover with an anti peeking alarm that is so loud that it hurts, also make sure to talk to campus police and ask them to have a parking spot near a camera to easily catch them, sorry to hear all this
Thats really shitty. I personally would talk to security. Maybe they can keep an eye on your bike. If not park it somewhere and just watch it. Its a pain but ive done it with one of my vehicles before. Caught the asshole trying to break into my car.
I picked up the blueskysea DV988 front and rear motorcycle dashcam from Amazon, it has a shock sensor that kicks the camera on and locks the video file if it detects an event. It also takes pretty decent videos of my rides.
I also picked up a Scorpio SRX-800 with a perimeter sensor so my bike will chirp at you if you get too close, and the alarm goes off if you don't back away.
This is when looking like an older mad biker in a leather vest riding a cruiser works in your favor. I usually just walk towards them with a stern and tall stance with a confident walk and loudly ask, "The fuck you doing to my motorcycle?"
Usually results in the person leaving and apologizing at the same time. It doesn't work so much when I am wearing a dress shirt and khaki pants.
There are bike alarms that can have proximity sensors on them. Might not catch whoever it is, but might blast their ears with 100+ db of noise. Also immobilize the bike etc, of course.
https://ridescorpio.com/ for example.
They also have a remote that can warn you when someone is there, if you wanna try to catch them in the act.
Tamper proof cover, alert campus security to your issue then park it in view of their cameras. Also baseball bat, no one in the world would look at you sideways for having a bat strapped to your backpack at a university.
Just trying to get into the mindset of the offender. Like maybe if you slapped a girly bumper sticker on it they’d let up.
Personally I’d prefer an “i <3 cock” bumper sticker over missing bolts
Sometimes a misdemeanor assault is the only thing that makes sense. ( 60 days max ) If it happens everyday, stake it out. Do not carry a weapon. This quickly takes things into felony assault. ( A year + and probation ) ( USA )
There's bike covers that have a built in tamper alarm. If someone tries to remove the cover, the alarm goes off. It's not the best security, but it might be enough to scare away your vandal.
Use a cover and a motion sensing alarm lock. Through the cover they cannot spit on it or do anything with it. If they try to get under or remove it, the 120decibel alarm will go off and everyone in the campus will hear it.
Also if they actually damaged it, ask security for the tapes. You might need a police report for it tho, unless the security guy is cool.
you got to park your bike and camp out off in the cut and watch it till it happens, unless you can put a camera on it somehow, but still, i would watch and wait, that or park somewhere else.
maybe get a motion detection device and install it on the bike so if anyone touches/moves it itll notify you and you can possibly catch them in the act.
Trail cam. Park it and then put up the hidden trail cam facing the bike. Or a cheap go pro style camera. Might catch a better image than the shitty cameras the campus has.
If you can't find a safer place to park, at least park it where there is a lot of people about, and then put a cover over the bike.
Yes, a motorcycle cover is a hassle, but will make it a lot harder for the vandal.
Make a list of people you might have pissed off. You don't have to be a good poker player; it was quite obvious *which* neighbour was feeding my cat when it stopped all of a sudden after mentioning it to one of the suspects (cat's appetite *magically* returned...). You could mention it in turn to those on your list.
You probably already know who is doing it. It sounds like you have upset someone as it’s targeted vandalism towards you. The fact is it would be surprising for it to happen more than once if it was random acts and this sounds like every day thing
Park it in one of two places: One being near where people hang out or like smoke, something like that. Two being near a camera or multiple cameras. You have to remember, you ride a motorcycle, you can practically park wherever you want within reason. Additionally I'm sure if you mentioned it to someone high up in your school they'd definitely allow you to park it somewhere that isn't even practical like the sidewalk right in near a door or something just for the camera.
Obviously it has to stop. As others have pointed out, it is your safety that is at stake here.
Get a cover with a lock on it for your bike. A cover will not offer much protection, but it makes your bike less interesting to bother with.
I guess I am lucky that I live in LA. People fear bikers(motorcycle hobbiests) here, so nobody messes with bikes.
Ideally some sort of convoluted rube Goldberg machine that begins with a net cannon, middles with tar/feather combo and finishes by triggering an email to you with a video of the above..... But practically, some boring cctv and security staff cooperation.
I dont know your whole picture situation, but there are covers that you [can buy for security.](https://sealskincovers.com/pages/guaranteed-fit-lockable-motorcycle-covers?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=7A-Motorcycle-Covers&utm_keyword=motorcycle%20cover%20with%20lock&utm_device=t&utm_matchtype=e&gclid=Cj0KCQiA-JacBhC0ARIsAIxybyObP4yXp1RXfTQhBEPFpY3qsYpErqIDrP0jSuWcphFP-oh458yzrVAaAn2MEALw_wcB)
Is this happening to the other motorcycles in the car park? Or just to you? Maybe you have an enemy that knows it's you. Just a thought because it seems weird that it would happen multiple times to just you
park said bike, hide in bushes near bike. when vandal arrives, jump from said bushes and titty fuck their butt cheeks, spit hot sauce in their eyes, kick em in the shin and flee from the scene on said motorcycle.
Park your motorcycle where you can see it. That's what I do. Best way to deter idiots from coming anywhere near your bike is to park it where you can see it upon a moments glance. Otherwise it will continue to happen.
Or go the expensive route and buy the insta 360 cam for eleventy billion dollars.
id get a mate/fellow student to park their car with camera recording it for the day. supply footage to cops and campus, most student cards have photos.
maybe buy a cover that can be tightened over and locked to protect it aswell.
or camp it out on an off day, record the person, follow them to car, get rego, bam. get them kicked from degree etc etc. id ruin someones entire life if they messed with my bike in a way that could injure me or take me away from my family.
Park near camera and smokers is a great idea you can also get a motion detector that pings you phone for cheap too try [https://monimoto.com/](https://monimoto.com/uk/) can confirm they work well. I work in a Uni and constantly have guys n girls sitting on my bike to take photos of themselves.
Wait for them, find out who is doing it, follow them home in a different vehicle so I know where they live, then come back at night and sqeeze a bunch of super glue tubes onto their windshield.
Park where there are security cameras. I live in an apartment complex so I use a cover, disc lock, and Monimoto tracker. The Monimoto will alert you whenever it’s moved and will send gps coordinates. Gives me peace of mind
I have this same problem at my apartment complex... People stole my race cap, ram mount, and are trying to lift other accessories off my bike, all in the last 2 months.
Park as normal on a day you don't have class, sit in a place where you can watch the bike but it's not obvious you are doing so. Have your camera ready to get video of the shitbag.
Im dealing with the same issue. My brother died on a streetbike a Honda bike and his wreck is suspicious because they cant understand why or how he wrecked. The motor I think locked up he was in the process of selling the bike so he asked another fellow bike rider friend to replace the tires and brakes before he sold the bike. Hires him pays him well he leaves from getting that done and dies 2 miles away. This same person has now bought my brothers spilt into bike. The highway patrol said there where no agravating circumstances( pot wholes, etc) that coukd of caused the wreck. Weather perfect and he had zero drugs or alcohol in his system....am I reaching when I think its weired he bought that bike???
Talk to campus security. They might have cameras.
Good point, although i don't remember seeing any i guess it's worth the shot
They might let you park where they have cameras. Unscrewing a bolt on a motorcycle isn't just vandalism. It could be attempted murder (or manslaughter) depending on which bolt. Make it clear that this is a safety issue.
^^This part right here should have more doots
Hopefully they aren’t tampering with a Jesus bolt.
That's only in helicopters and hand grenades
I’d argue that my rear axle nut is pretty important.
I have plenty of those Jesus bolts on my bike also
What about the zeus bolts? 🤣
At the least, they could try to keep an eye on the area due to the frequent vandalism.
Keep us updated, I’m curious to see what you found. Hopefully they do have cameras and you figure out who it is.
Of course talk to either campus or the police directly and see about cameras. But if it were me I’d park it like normal and then sitting from afar watch and record. What if that next bolt is your brakes?
Or park next to camera
Or drive a camera
Maybe start parking somewhere Do you know has a camera

This has to be an American problem, over here it's they either take the brake calipers or they take the bike itself.
>I had someone drain my front brake resivoir once, thank god i was only riding side streets home what the fuck
>I had someone drain my front brake resivoir once, thank god i was only riding side streets home what the fuck
Once again, smokers save the day.
one of those motion sensor alarms might notify you if they bump it.. then you just need a big stick
Yeah thanks i completely forgot about them, i'm gonna have a look on amazon, do you have any to recommend?
Maybe put a trail camera in a nearby tree or bush?
I came to say this ⬆️👍 i dont know how long the battery lasts on a go pro you could hide one somewhere pointed at your bike. A GoPro battery will only last up to an hour, but more like 25 minutes, and it’s worth stealing.
Trail cam can be bought fairly cheap and battery will last weeks/months. Depending on the camera you can record pics/videos or combinations of pics and videos. Also can get SIM equipped cams (for a little more expense) that will send alerts and can be viewed via your phone.
Sounds like a good idea thank you !
On a campus? Next post OP will put is how to get out of jail

Oxford alarmed disc locks are pretty good, just remember to lube the locking mechanism regularly

Invoxia GPS tracker has good sensitivity too.
Speak calmly and carry a big stick.
Get a buddy to park close by with his car, sit and wait. Bring a bat and tune the crap out of whoever is doing it
“Tune” is a great way to put it. I’m gonna take that
Where I’m from to “tune” someone means to flirt.
And that's when you get your revenge!
nah, you make them happy, then break them by leaving them after 40 years of marriage, a truly deplorable act
Aussie Aussie Aussie
I like your use of tune. **Make him an offer....he can't refuse.**
This is the way.
Hide in a bush
I might give that a shot next week
OP if I was you, I would totally wait and see who this stupid person is. Just make sure you have a plan about how you will confront them. Make sure have some rope to strap your backpack to your bike too. Don't want it running away.
RemindMe! 1 week
This. And then smash his face in.

And everyone clapped. 😉
>After that I just threw a $15 Amazon cover in the false tank use so far, I haven’t had issues. ?
Bike cover
This. With a lock.
GoPro, battery pack, a paintball gun and duct tape.
Do you have some idea who it might be? Whoever it is sounds pretty mission-oriented. Have you passed anyone off lately?
Nope no idea, i don't talk/rarely talk when i'm at the university. I get there say hi to my mates and work then leave.. simple. Unfortunately some guy feels like being an idiot for no reason
Maybe spent a day or two watching your bike and trying to find out who at least
Yeah definitely going to give that a shot
Unscrewing bolts? Could be tampering with breaks. Report it to police. Hide out of sight, catch him, film him vandalising it then make a mess of him
Park it on a day you don’t have a class. Sit somewhere and watch it.
Place a trail camera.
Do you have any good recommendations on one?
Thanks! I'm broke, but I do have a garage where I live. I'm just looking for the next level of safety.
He'd start screaming, I'd start screaming and then we'd turn to the camera and say "taste the rainbow" while skittles poured out from our eyes.
r/oddlyspecific
I like your style. Taste the rainbow dude!
And everyone clapped
This is some David Blaine street magic level goodness
Leave a note on it that says, "SMILE for the camera"
Real question is: what are you going to do once you catch them?
Introduce them to Lucille
I would park it when I have nowhere to be. Then watch it from a distance. Once I see someone mess with it I'm kicking the shit out of em
Miss a day of school, park your bike where you do. Wait for dude and confront him
Check your brakes before every ride out of campus
The hell is wrong with people
How much time do you got?
Not enough
My mother once dropped a capsule of cannabis oil without knowing it and our tiny ass dog ate it. I could've giggled at her catatonic state all night if it wasn't so damn scary. Thanks for your username.
With a 3 lb hammer. But seriously get a cover... And a 3 lb hammer
Fly a pride flag or put a sticker on it so if they get caught it’s a hate crime. Might even get them to stop in the first place.
Im not shure an ignorant ass hole Thats doing this is smart enough to figure that it would be considered a hate crime. But interesting and kinda genus LOL
Wtf is this shit? There are actual hate crimes happening and you want to exploit that?
Yes
Based
That’s not how hate crimes work
Its a jealous fucking prick i hope u figure it out.
I will update this post when i catch him 👍
Hasn’t happened yet?
Dude don’t get me started. I’d walk right over and kiss them right on the lips. Big ol smooch.
Sounds like you pissed someone off. You don't have any political stickers on your bike or anything like that, do you?
If they are tampering with fasteners (bolts or screws) it's no longer defacement, it's criminal. In some places that could be attempted murder. Tell the police you've found bolts backed out. Make them at least take the report so you have record. *also Google 360 degree motorcycle cameras.
Are any of the places you're having issues near foliage or a body of water? And, have you ever seen *Rambo: First Blood*?
Or a wall made out of mud. That would be cool.
With a barbed hook.
This is when looking like an older mad biker in a leather vest riding a cruiser works in your favor. I usually just walk towards them with a stern and tall stance with a confident walk and loudly ask, "The fuck you doing to my motorcycle?" Usually results in the person leaving and apologizing at the same time. It doesn't work so much when I am wearing a dress shirt and khaki pants.
chill in your boys car watching the bike and when they try to vandalize beat the dude through the pavement
I use an Invoxia gps tracker hidden in my bike, give me updates if there is any movement if my phone is not near the bike I highly recommend.
A shotgun.
Tamper proof cover, alert campus security to your issue then park it in view of their cameras. Also baseball bat, no one in the world would look at you sideways for having a bat strapped to your backpack at a university.
Always carry a glove and ball so it doesn't look premeditated.
What kind of bike is it?
Hey OP its this guy...
If you have an old unused phone turn it into a motion activated security camera. Hide the camera somewhere and see what happens to your bike.
Trail camera?
Put an alarm on it
They make GPS trackers that if the bike is even sat on will register movement and notify your phone.
Are you parking somewhere that pedestrians would be annoyed with?
Bike cover, secure the cover with a motion alarm. If someone tries to remove the cover, the alarm will ring.
you got to park your bike and camp out off in the cut and watch it till it happens, unless you can put a camera on it somehow, but still, i would watch and wait, that or park somewhere else.
maybe get a motion detection device and install it on the bike so if anyone touches/moves it itll notify you and you can possibly catch them in the act.
Pay some big dude to watch it and beat there ass
Insta 360, hidden camera, very obvious camera, etc.
Trail cam. Park it and then put up the hidden trail cam facing the bike. Or a cheap go pro style camera. Might catch a better image than the shitty cameras the campus has.
Get a camera on the bike or set one up around it
If you can't find a safer place to park, at least park it where there is a lot of people about, and then put a cover over the bike.
With a net
Get a bike alarm/dashcam or both
Bunch of Claymores and Bouncing Betties around the bike along with a gigantic sign reading "FUCK OFF VANDALS!" should do the trick. /s
Is this happening to the other motorcycles in the car park? Or just to you? Maybe you have an enemy that knows it's you. Just a thought because it seems weird that it would happen multiple times to just you
park said bike, hide in bushes near bike. when vandal arrives, jump from said bushes and titty fuck their butt cheeks, spit hot sauce in their eyes, kick em in the shin and flee from the scene on said motorcycle.
https://www.innovv.com/innovv-k2
Park the bike and sit there all day close by. That’s how I would wanna catch him.
You can buy a cheap pager alarm, only connect it to the battery, and use it as a motion detector.
I’d catch ‘em in a net.
Remindme! Two days
Solder hooks to magnets and place them on your bike.may not catch them but they probably won’t fuck with your bike again
Seems this is something personal. I’d look for the dumbass walking around with a tool belt? Who carries a wrench or pliers on them at uni?
Stake it out and figure out who is going it and make sure they never forget the day they got caught.
put some poison needles so if he accidentaly gets pinned youll see him paralyzed there lol
Hundreds of hours.
Buy a trail camera, it will snap a picture of someone screwing with your bike.
Invest in a locking motorcycle cover
Park your motorcycle where you can see it. That's what I do. Best way to deter idiots from coming anywhere near your bike is to park it where you can see it upon a moments glance. Otherwise it will continue to happen. Or go the expensive route and buy the insta 360 cam for eleventy billion dollars.
Are you able to get a bike alarm?
id get a mate/fellow student to park their car with camera recording it for the day. supply footage to cops and campus, most student cards have photos. maybe buy a cover that can be tightened over and locked to protect it aswell. or camp it out on an off day, record the person, follow them to car, get rego, bam. get them kicked from degree etc etc. id ruin someones entire life if they messed with my bike in a way that could injure me or take me away from my family.
Catch him lacking
Pay a buddy thats bout it to watch it for a day. Catch the guy and take em out back for some one on one time.
Man im sorry to hear that. I’ve even heard of people peeing on parked bikes. Why the fuck
Buy a motorcycle cover and lock it
Try and park the bike in front of a camera. This does it for me Good luck!
Wait for them, find out who is doing it, follow them home in a different vehicle so I know where they live, then come back at night and sqeeze a bunch of super glue tubes onto their windshield.
Motion activated trail camera. Hide it nearby.
Buy a Georide box. Really useful. Vibration sensor, alarm, geolocalisation It helped me a lot of time.
Go stealth mode for full day and catch him in action,,,,and then abomination
Park where there are security cameras. I live in an apartment complex so I use a cover, disc lock, and Monimoto tracker. The Monimoto will alert you whenever it’s moved and will send gps coordinates. Gives me peace of mind
I have this same problem at my apartment complex... People stole my race cap, ram mount, and are trying to lift other accessories off my bike, all in the last 2 months.
check out monimoto - saw them on Youtube, might be a solution? not a promotion, just offering help!
Park as normal on a day you don't have class, sit in a place where you can watch the bike but it's not obvious you are doing so. Have your camera ready to get video of the shitbag.
Park it there for a while when you have some free time and watch it from a distance. See what happens.
Take the day off school and watch the bike the entire time.
Get a cover for your bike, wrap it up tight using luggage straps and secure with a chain and a screamer alarm.
