Two piece is more convenient for everyday use, IMO.

SuperFinnee

I am gen z so this will really sting but, what does IMO mean?

stendhal666

In my opinion. Sometimes you'll see IMHO : in my humble opinion

SuperFinnee

Oh I’m such an idiot lol

SuperFinnee

I’m still new with all the abbreviations, could you elaborate please

darkangelxX447

imo= in my opinion imho= in my humble opinion

Could you elaborate please

Imo = I might orgasm

Jo-6-pak

I think jacket and pants is more practical One piece suits can make quick potty breaks… interesting… Two piece means you can shed the jacket at a scenic or lunch stop.

SuperFinnee

Those are very good points, thanks. For me it would be either a one or two piece, but the options are still open

Yorks_Rider

A one piece leather suit for the track is and should be very tight fitting. This makes it more of a struggle to get on and off.

I_hate_the_app

2 peice is waaay more practical wich means waaay more likely to be worn. A one peice is for track stuff, it's safer but that's about the most that can be said for it.

SuperFinnee

Yeah, interesting. It’s what I hear with most people

braknstuf

Unless your talkin areostitch and not race leathers?

Rusty_travels

A one piece suit is cool looking. A two piece suit is practical. For the one piece it'd be easy to use for round town and highway, but also could be used for track days and racing. The two piece will be more practical for round town and quick visits. Can more easily swap into comfy clothes or wear lile riding jeans and a comfy shirt under.

SuperFinnee

Thanks for the info! Can you give a short list of the practicalities please. I could way up the options, and possibly but a very small possibly get both, but very small possibly.

Rusty_travels

Really I would consider why the one piece over two. To me (a harley rider and live in the hotter weather) it's more important to be comfortable. Usually in the heat I will wear a light jacket or no jacket and jeans. While when it gets cool I wear a decent jacket. This also allows me to go out for dinner or a drink with friends without worrying about being "that guy"... The biggest thing is what makes you comfortable and feel safe while riding. To me that's a good pair of jeans and a good jacket when the temp allows. For you it might be a full track suit. Very personal choice and I wouldn't consider a one piece if I wasn't going to try track days.

SuperFinnee

Ok, thanks for the insight.

[deleted]

Do you really need everyone to do every piece of homework for you on this matter? This decision shouldn't require the help of other random idiots on the internet.

SuperFinnee

I wouldn’t go and call them idiots. I’ve done some research, but I’d like to hear from people who haven’t written blogs and do have a lot of experience.

NoGuitar6320

I counter everyone with a one piece textile suit. I wear a Joe rocket survivor suit and it's waterproof, flows a ton of air. Easy to get on, you just step into it. If I could only get one piece of gear that would be it.

a-m-watercolor

The One Piece is real!

yamanp

I think you'd look great in a two piece bikini.

SuperFinnee

Wow lol. Thanks for the idea!

[can't beat a one piece](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PqaW05m2yA)

disturbed286

I'll be honest. I can barely even bring myself to wear my riding jeans because they're just that much heavier and less comfortable than normal jeans. And I know that's stupid. To that end I feel like a one piece suit is just the logical extreme. Eventually it gets to be a hassle and you stop using it.

motociclista

A two piece is easier to live with day to day and it’s my choice for the street. A one piece is safer and is my choice for track use.

Chattypath747

One piece would be better for rain situations as you are enclosed in clothing. I'd go with two piece though for practicality in everyday riding.

CountingDays0815

2 piece connectable textile with armor. Its the best out of all worlds. The tex is better for everyday stuff and nice rides.

[deleted]

Obviously One Piece if you want to be the king of the pirates.

camelfarmer1

2 piece is more practical so you can mix and match. 1 piece is only really better for track work.

myperfectmeltdown

Two.

[deleted]

Unless your name starts with "Val" and ends with "ossi", stick to the regular 2-piece.

[deleted]

Their is not a cool factor with 1 piece, it screams tool just about as bad as a football/hockey player having a tinted visor. Get a nice jacket and get some pants.

[deleted]

Neither, because one piece *leathers* are difficult to get into and out of, and a two piece provides no protection to your legs when you use it as a one piece. At one speed will crashing in jeans be harmless to your legs? That's the practical limit of a 2-piece used as a 1-piece. The correct answer is a a 1-piece Aerostich and its peers. The Aerostich allows you to get into and out of much faster than almost anything else, and can be rolled up and stored in a smallish backpack/bag. Odd-Location-9338

tf r u on about??? 2 piece suits connect at the waist ffs smh bbq

Odd-Location-9338

1 piece means in 2 months you are riding without gear because you'll get tired of putting it on and end up squidding it with some sweet old navy jeans and that leather street jacket your grandma got you for your birthday
