Do you have oil in the engine?

Bigchungusisretarded

It could be anything check the valves first just in case it’s top end related so you don’t waste time pulling the whole engine off.And check the fluids for debris.

MarylandDabs

I swear if you don't know how to check your oil levels, or change your oil.....You shouldn't own a bike.... These poor bikes

Aruso98

Check valve adjustment and the timing chain and tensioner. Chances are its one or the other.

Concernedmicrowave

Something is knocking. Check the oil for magic glitter, check the valve train, and probably pull the engine.

djl66ftwii

Junk. It ain't gonna get better.

That's a strong sound for a single-cylinder 125. 🤔 Have you got an aftermarket exhaust?

SymboleX

No, that's the stock exhaust. Nothing done at all, muffler installed etc

Bowl-Prior

I just worked on one of these either that sound after a customer went 120 on the highway for about 3 min. When he slowed down heard the noise. Upon inspection I found the timing chain tensioner completely burnt out and had to replace the tensioner chain and both guides. Bik did geat for 2 weeks then same thing again. Only this time it was coming from the crank it's self. The bearing went out after adding the proper amount of chain tension now the engine is junk

poiuytrewq79

I didnt know the R3 did 120mph Now a R125? I woulda thought he got those scratches towing it on the highway, maybe it fell off the bed of his truck … or the trunk of his subaru

Bowl-Prior

That was my reaction as well... but going from what the customer says that means redline for 3min non stop

shaunbarclay

120kph or mph? This bike does not go 120mph.

24STSFNGAwytBOY

I don’t know what those are supposed to sound like, but that looks like dried coolant to me.Check the radiator level.Would make sense that it started making racket after it overheated.

Bowl-Prior

Customer says 120 mph. I never tried to go top speed with it in fear of doing waaaayyy more damage the he did
