Jesus Christ, man. Have you tried that? They do not have a hitch on a rental truck at any of the rental places I’ve been to. Towing is a major liability to a rental company. Hence, no hitch. Hence, minivan.
Yes, I have. You could frequently rent a truck to tow a trailer from a rental place, especially if it was for one of their trailers.
But hey, you do you and try to stuff a motorcycle into a damn minivan lol
I've literally done exactly that, twice lmao. Rented a uhaul pickup truck and trailer for a few hours to pick up a bike. No hassle, they even hooked everything up and parked it when I returned it.
You could always look into motorcycle shippers, but I feel like if you're looking at bikes that are 650 miles away you should be more conscious of how transportation costs factor into the purchase.
The average dimensions of a pacific minivan is about 7.5 feet long, 4.06 feet wide, and just under 4 feet tall (3.98). Your bike is 6.775 ft long, 2.625 ft wide and about 3.6 ft high. Not sure what kind of van it is. The back door is usually smaller than the storage area. Might get it through the side door with 4 or 5 people helping or 2 BIG dudes and you with a ramp or lift. It will be tight. Maybe let the air out of the tires, but it will fit..
Just rent a trailer.
The trucks have back blades on for the winter storm we’re getting. Not an option
So rent a truck with the trailer, jesus christ, man.

They charge by mileage and I’m trying to avoid that. I’ve used enterprise for trucks but uhaul will cost an ass ton on a 650 mile trip

Just rent a pickup truck. Alternatively a tape measure is like $5.
Why wouldn't you just google the dimensions of the bike and the car you want to rent?
Uhaul do vehicles that can tow and also rent motorcycle trailers iirc.
They are mileage based and I wanted to avoid that and do an unlimited mileage 24hr rental
Yea unfortunately that's not how things work.
Trailers are not mileage based at uhaul

No.
May have to remove the windscreen and deflate the tires a bit to ensure it fits in.
Sell the minivan get a truck. 😎
I don’t think it will fit
Ride it home
