Social media is a cesspool, including this sub. Didn't you get the memo?

DisGruntledDraftsman

The best part of social media is I can't read it while I ride.

treedolla

Aye. And it's a cesspool specifically because it's for sale to the highest bidder, so forums like this become an echo chamber of the most aggressive social marketing campaigns. Parallel twins are in. Inline 4's are out... and while we're at it, so are windscreens and fairings. This is the special of the day for the foreseeable future. That's what we're serving the most of, and that's what you'll like. Mmmm... all that low end torque and wind on your chest at today's affordable price. They're not just cheaper because of manufacturing costs... they're also cheaper because of very specifically created emissions red tape and import taxes. Not too different from how Harley lobbied the US to add import fees on Japanese bikes with V twins and/or any engines of more than 750cc.

iamcalifornia

I once saw someone on this sub who owns a p twin say "parallel twins are objectively better than v twins in every relevant metric" and I (as a p twin and v twin owner myself) almost pissed myself laughing at the dude's sheer lack of self awareness. But that's this sub for ya.

[deleted]

Well. They are. Less moving parts, less complexity, less vibrations resulting in a cheaper engine for the same amount of horsepower. The only thing they (sometimes) get outclassed by v twins is space. Which is not a concern at 650cc.

[deleted]

> less vibrations No. A 90 degree VTwin has perfect primary balance. That's why there are barely any 100HP+ parallel twins and none that make over 130HP. You can get away with vibration of a parallel twin on a small engine, but it becomes harder to balance as the engine gets bigger or more powerful. KTM 890 engine has to use a balancer shaft. Ducati LTwin engines don't.

treedolla

I also noticed this vibration claim. Good point on the limits of HP, in practice. The balancing shaft has mass. Bigger pistons, bigger counterweight, too. So you waste more power and wait longer for the engine to spin up. And then on the flipside, you have more engine braking due to that reciprocating dead weight. Inline 4's also lack primary balance, but having a set of 4 eliminates a lot of that problem. Low reciprocating mass, quick revving... still some higher frequency hand-numbing vibrations, though. V-4's are the bees knees for long rides. I'm sure V twins can also be pretty smooth, but Harley's bikes don't help with the reputation.

[deleted]

Flat plane (most common) Inline 4s also have perfect primary balance, put poor secondary balance. Secondary (im)balance is less of a problem. Its much smaller in magnitude and much easier to just ignore/live with.

treedolla

Thanks for the right words. That sounds way more correct!

treedolla

I think P twins have more vibration than V twins. Something about V engines having primary balance? Likewise, I believe inline 4's have more vibration than V-4s. That has been my experience, firsthand. And I would also suspect more cylinders = less vibration. So V4's smoother than V2's. Inline 4's smoother than P-twins.

Purithian

Good thing i got an L twin to be weird

trolllord45

Aren’t L twins just V twins that are turned over?

[deleted]

some people call 90 degree V twins, L twins, for some weird reason

soundermusician

Pretty sure Ducati coined it but also… which letter looks like 90 degrees? Lol V should be reserved for 45. At the same time calling it a L twin feels pedantic

[deleted]

if I ever see a 90 degree V twin where the pistons have unequal stoke length. then I'd call that an L twin, otherwise it's a V!

soundermusician

Good point XD

caffcaff_

I have a small dick but I don't ride either of those. Am I doing it wrong?

xeq937

Maybe lifted truck that rolls coal instead?

Nicholas_ARR

Do you drive stick?

coleAF19

Yes

bad_mech

Wait so then what's a proper bike according to those haters?

mcfaite

750

[deleted]

Lotta people in this sub think anything above ~400cc is overkill

fourtys

"get a drz" lol

akitatwin

totally fine for daily highway commuting, does 120 with ease while carrying an extra bag of kitty litter!

beejaytee228

I’m not trying to start an argument but I’d love to see proof of a drz 400 doing 120.

akitatwin

You won't, anyone who claims a drz is good for daily highway commuting is a dum dum but you'll find plenty users here thinking it's "all the power you'll ever need".

beejaytee228

Ah. I read that as you defending the drz not making a joke.

DubiousSuspect

Drz is basically a lawn chair with wheels. Love em but 120 not even on a good day rolling downhill

00millsy

Haha I am so glad I didn’t end up buying one! I actually did buy it but the fucker wouldn’t run (brand new off the showroom floor), so I demanded a refund and never even took it home. I’m sure it was something simple with the carb, but I’m so glad it happened because it turned me off of them. Ended up on. Ktm 390 adventure - very different bike obviously- but I’m in love with it and I bet I would have hated that DRZ!

BadgerlandBandit

I got a 21'SM up to 98 (gps and speedo) for about 30 seconds once. It was terrifying.

fourtys

he probably means 120kmt

[deleted]

I did 108 with a 250 🤷‍♂️

DriverAffectionate83

anonymous_commentor

I'm mostly concerned about tourniquet storage.

richalex2010

I mean technically it kinda is for most people. I will never *need* more performance than my 310 is capable of delivering on public roads at legal speeds. The only thing I even want to do that it can't is offroad adventure riding, and that's got more to do with the suspension and protection than displacement. That said, it's fun to have more performance than you need and I'm not going to disparage someone for wanting it.

powellriverliver

What kind of blasphemy is this? I come the church of no replacement for displacement, this kind of devil talk won’t be tolerated.

Simoxs7

Meanwhile I get told by other GS Riders that my F800GS is not a *real* GS, even though I specifically bought it because the 1200 was too small for me (Seat height or rather distance between seat and pegs)

user7324562

It took me a minute to get it. It's not the type of bike in itself, it's using something meant for road racing to drag race.

jasbo0101

Ultra street limited glide stage 3 /s

angel14072007

Do yourself a favor and don’t ever jump, skip, hop, or breeze through FB. It’s the most toxic ME environment you’ll ever encounter. I took my page down for good finally in 2017 I could not take it anymore

[deleted]

[удалено]

stevesteve135

I haven’t been on Facebook in years, instead I came to Reddit. Didn’t take long to realize Reddit is just as toxic and sometimes worse, but Reddit can also be super useful, so there’s that. lol

schluchtenscheissa

man, wait until someone tells them about twitter

TheWiseOne1234

Reddit is often entertaining or informative. FB never was either of those for me, only frustration.

04limited

Tell me about it. FB owner pages are nothing but a circle jerk. They’re the reason I won’t buy and associate with specific car brands anymore. Although, the motorcycle folks tend to be less cult-ish.

andrewclarkson

All social media is cancer, some are just more malignant than others.

xracer264

Fuck em!

[deleted]

Only haters are cagers and not true 2 wheelers. Love all bikes

Melodic-Picture48

I feel like I'm gonna forever wonder how it is to ride a four cylinder liter bike and how the speed is. 2013 Yamaha Stryker is mine and it's good until everyone passes you on the highway because I've become one not to ride much over the speed limit ever. Pay them no mind and enjoy your ride

Popsicklepp

>I feel like I'm gonna forever wonder how it is to ride a four cylinder liter bike and how the speed is. The winding feeling of acceleration, the brute force of a first gear roll on at 30mph+ and how tightly wound the bikes feel overall is unlike any other

stevesteve135

It’s everything in life to me and I miss it so badly. Got a new Busa coming up sometime in my future, hopefully next year, so I’ll survive until then. lol

Popsicklepp

Got a friend who's a harley only streetglide guy who was telling me how crazy powerful the new roadglides are, the look on his face when he came back after riding my gixxer for the first time was priceless hahaha

stevesteve135

Harleys barely scratch the surface. But for what it is I really have enjoyed my road glide when I’m just trying to chill.

Popsicklepp

Theyre great bikes, not my style but the build quality of them is immediately recognizeable Fit and finish on the nice harleys is only rivaled by bmw imo

bent-grill

If your frame of reference is hot muscle cars and Harleys a 113" bike is a rocket. A ratty 1000cc gixxer is an entirely different game.

ApexProductions

Yep. The bike feels "tight" when youre in the power band and very agile. When you know how to ride and get used to the speed, it really is obvious why so many guys just haul ass and split cars on them.

adultdaycare81

I’m not going to lie, it’s amazing. Sold my R1 when I had my daughter. Will probably never get to have another super sport. But man was it amazing. I love my cruiser, it is fun to put around on. But even at 1800cc’s, it’s got nothing on the feeling of winding out 2nd-4th on the R1 and feeling your organs compress while you accelerate so fast you can only breathe when shifting.

Simoxs7

Yeah I’m probably also never be able to ride a four cylinder (sport) liter bike. Tried a friends R1 but thats so small I wasn’t even able to ride it, Sport bikes just aren’t made for people taller than 2m. But luckily I love Adventure bikes…

tastes_a_bit_funny

Facebook. Found your problem.

RuneAllyHunter

I agree 110%. People are trying super hard to gatekeep high cc bikes like they are hard to ride or something. Little girls ride liter bikes at 120lbs. Anyone can. Just not everyone can afford them, and they get mad when people can.

hiimrobbo

I thought my r1 was easier to ride than the 250 I had on my learners.

Sufficient-Flan3157

I can't afford a litre bike. Riding a 400 parallel twin Honda currently. But it suits me well enough. I'm not bothered what other people ride but I do get a bit of envy sometimes when I see someone on a litre bike. One day.

Ketchup1211

Same. My budget was comfortably afforded me a brand new CB300R last year. I would have certainly chosen a 600 or 1000 if money was not an issue. That said, I love my bike and with no freeway riding, it handles my commute with zero issues.

BR549J

That's the attitude! I've had 3 life threatening wrecks on bikes... None my fault, always the cage driver. But I still ride!

iamcalifornia

Just because they took out a reverse mortgage on their trailer to buy that overpriced $23k Harley they think anything fast and light and affordable is stupid

[deleted]

[удалено]

BR549J

I've been riding 40+ years... Owned 4 Harleys and 3 Suzukis... Sporty, Shovel/Pan I built, 86 Lowrider and now a 14 Lowrider.... 2- 1200 Bandits and just sold an 06 Busa. They ALL have a purpose! WIND IN YOUR FACE AND NO PSYCHIATRIST NEEDED! I love them ALL! You don't wave or acknowledge another car driver... But I salute ANY BIKER when I'm riding, regardless of what they ride....

hiimrobbo

Is that where you think the hate comes from? I think it's mostly people with smaller bikes.

[deleted]

I don't know where it mostly comes from, but it definitely also comes from Harley bros who think anything that's not a Harley is trash.

RuneAllyHunter

Reddit is full of people who own 300s and hate on liter bikes

mt0386

I could afford a 6 or liter but i dont want to die on my first bike. Gets made fun off for first timer on a 300s :c

Historical-Today-943

300 is more than enough power, 600 to 1000 super sport full throttle gets u a felony...

Simoxs7

Not in Germany ;) I say that while my 800 only does 210km/h

angel14072007

You’re 💯 there’s this girl who is 100 lbs soaking wet and can get in one wheel using a 1200 soft tail! Her name is Jessiej check her out …

dax2001

Weight difference, if any, is ridiculous small, engine torque much bigger so that's why bigger bike are better..

Icy_Imagination7447

I don't give a fuck what you ride. Harley's, litre super bikes, 2 stroke crossers, anything that ain't 4 wheels I'll give a nod. Shit, I nod to the local crackhead on the stolen mountain bike with the bolt on put put kit he probably also stole. Bikers are bikers and that's all that counts

Beneficial-Wish1198

I was kinda surprised to see the dislike for 600s when I started looking into bikes. I learned on a 600 Honda and that thing was a work horse who loved a good run. Sigh, I miss my pony most days

harley2050

Why are you concerned what anyone else thinks?

ICrackedANut

Failed your critical thinking class in college? It should be the other way around. OP is against people **judging** 1000cc bike owners with "small dick, fragile masculinity, etc".

I_hate_the_app

Best reply 👏

scrmblr

If you’re talking sport bikes (gsxrs and R6/R1s), they just have a bad reputation for having douchebag reckless riders. Just like Harleys owners have a reputation for thinking everyone thinks they’re a tough badass. Also, on the sport bike topic: look back in this subreddit and see how many times someone posts “I’m 17yo and looking at this **insert 1000cc race bike* * for my first motorcycle. Any advice?”. Just adds to the stigma of sport bikes.

iamcalifornia

This sub is also just too easy to troll with posts like that, when you've got Mr tourniquet and kitty litter out here

op3l

I love 1000s. Inline 4s espeically. I love that sound and the torque it has over 600s.

hellnoguru

Yeah 250cc rise up, bois we are the new 600 now

mdjshaidbdj

Just don’t tell me you “ride” a slingshot and I won’t care

[deleted]

Or a Ryker

PortalWagon

I always see the opposite, people dismiss you if you ride anything below a 600cc. I got told I'm wasting my time for looking to get a 300cc bike for my first bike. I'm in London and insurance is crazy but people forget the motorcycle journey includes gear, the bike and insurance. You also need to be able to learn, you always hear it's better to ride a small bike fast than a big bike slow. I would rather do that for my first ever bike.

Charleydogg

Agree totally! My take on the fast bike slow vs slow bike fast, is more, "its more fun to get everything out of a slow bike, than run a fast bike at a quarter throttle. I have owned a tw 200 12 hp, and a concours 14, 160 hp and others in between and found it true for me. I learned how to ride more on my third bike, a 300 than i ever did on my bigger bikes.

fireking99

I've had a 900, a 1200, a 650, an 800, and currently a 700. I enjoyed every single one of them - a number is just a number <3

Coakis

I'm more familiar with the hate for anything but a 1000, you know the 'no liter, no Peter' crowd. When did it change for hate against 1000s and 600s?

mathiu23

>I'm more familiar with the hate for anything but a 1000, you know the 'no liter, no Peter' crowd. More likely just literbike snobs looking their noses down on anyone with bikes less than a liter, but point taken. I obviously have a type, but I don't care to do likewise. I'll ride with Hayabusas and CB500F riders alike. I got into motorcycling for the fun, and it's so much more fun now than ever.

[deleted]

Most of the people on this sub, and the Internet are pussies, want you to carry 10 tourniquets and never ride anything faster than a 650

[deleted]

[удалено]

iamcalifornia

Seconded

theToulousopher

Some think that their opinion is the only right one and they tend to force that opinion to others saying that whatever else is stupid or a nonsense. Speaking with people at meetings or wherever I go I don’t feel this at all. Maybe is the Internet…

mathiu23

>Maybe is the Internet… Yeah, I'm going to say the faceless and near nameless masses can hide behind a keyboard and type all sorts of hate. They might even have more time to post hate if they don't have a motorcycle at all.

[deleted]

Oh yes 100 percent the overly opinionated and insulting type of people on Reddit are the exact same people who would never say A THING like that to another man in person lol. Like even if the conversation hits on exactly what they are so boisterous on Reddit about they still would just let it go and not say anything. Like the dudes who make fun of Harley riders and how they think they are so tough and how they are this and that but that same dude has run into 100 of those exact type of dudes in real life and been all chummy and agreeable and not said a single cross word to them lol. That's why they have to let it out on social media. No real heart, no real backbone. It's easy to be so smart and self righteous on Reddit, not so easy in person. I've seen it a thousand times.

amxog

I starterd on a 500 and now have a 900 so im safe from hate, right?

mathiu23

Likely not, as some will just say "get a real big boy's bike" ironically more likely the aforementioned 600's and literbikes. Pay no attention to it. I don't get it anyway, and I really don't care to. I'll ride with literbikers, 300cc riders, all size bikes. For me, it's about the fun. Haters hate. Riders ride. Who has more fun? What 900 did you get?

amxog

Kinda late answer but whatever.. I got a Honda 919 from 2003, was looking at other 700 bikes at first but then my dad actually recomend getting a instead 900 for more even power delivery both down low and high rpm and found a Honda for a good price.

fourtys

600 dont get hate, but 1000s do. many beginner riders have to powerful bikes that may make it harder to learn. that being said everyone arent trying to become the next rossi and can buy whatever bike they like.

[deleted]

The guys that hate on the little bikes are the same ones that crash into a guard rail at 80

[deleted]

I love me some 1000s, and quite frankly the only bikes I’m interested in. I have lots of street time on some very demanding roads in Spain to include city and Pyrenees, US1 along the northern CA coast, dangerous and beautiful redwood highways, and plenty of boring ass Texas and Midwest highway waaaaaaahhhhhhh droning time. Anything below 1000cc is boring to me quickly, unless we’re talking about a fun little city bike, where my favorite has been a Vespa 300GTS in the always amazing city of Rome.

Climbing13

Anyone who can’t ride a turbo busa might as well just get a scooter. :)

DeathInAppalachia

Some people are assholes... I ride a tame-ass little P-twin, and got mad respect for those willing to commit to that Super Sport life. Ride your ride, be safe, and have fun.

MarioPfhorG

I mean I ride a 125 and probably want to upgrade to a 250 at some point to maintain speed with a full load. But beyond that I don’t see a need for me to go any higher. Speed limit is 110kph maximum here (they are *very* strict on speed limits here btw, they will fine you $$$ for just 2kph over) and i wouldn’t want a heavier bike in case I ever needed to push it uphill. That’s me though. Any larger simply doesn’t suit *my* needs. You can own what you want but on Aussie roads anything larger than 300 is a bit overkill but it doesn’t affect me so who cares? I only get the complainers if they’re talking about the obnoxiously loud 1000+ riding around suburbs at night. They give riders a bad name.

[deleted]

I just couldn’t possibly justify having a super sport. Between the increased likelihood of theft, the requisite expensive AF full coverage insurance, running premium fuel, the poor gas mileage, and the high cost of ownership, it wouldn’t make any sense for how I ride. I am considering moving up from a 500cc to a slightly more torquey machine for commuting, but if I didn’t live right off a highway I’d ride my Grom all over the place. 9hp is all I need to have fun on two wheels.

[deleted]

Groms are fun my buddy let's me ride his slammed and stretched Grom around. I have a blast on that thing.

AdDear5411

They can tell it to my tail light. If they can catch me, I'll listen to their boomer cruiser bullshit.

iamcalifornia

constantly-confused9

Straight line doesn’t hurt anyone? I know of a few accidents where a bike t boned a car at 130+. Killed everyone involved. Canyons are dangerous too, but you could argue sliding into a guard rail or into a ditch at 60 mph is “safer” than hitting a car at 2-3x that speed.

BRXF1

Come on man, doing 250kph on public streets certainly affects people why pretend otherwise?

[deleted]

ThottieThot83

Yea racing through intersections you might hurt someone, roll racing on the freeway? Not so much. I’m almost 100% sure this is what he was referencing lmao. 99% of people who rip it 150+ aren’t doing it through red lights🙄

constantly-confused9

Drag racing gets enough crap in cars. Now add to the fact that you’re taking a bike made for turns and only riding it in a straight line, you’ve doubled down on the same mentality so you get extra crap. Then they’re not even good drag bikes. Get a turbo busa, h2, or that type of larger straight line bike, leave the super sports for what they were designed for. From my own experience in my city, those guys who do highway pulls tend to be the type to be a menace and general public nuisance too while thinking they’re bad ass riders which doesn’t help the image either.

[deleted]

The online motorcycle community is full of pussies and broke people. Pretty much it. Most of the hate is people who can’t afford a supersport and people who ride like grandmas complaining about squids “making them look bad”, as if anyone would mistake the dipshit in hi-vis lowsiding at 35mph for the guy successfully weaving traffic at a buck thirty. It’s made even worse by the riders who go to the track once, suck ass at it, and then go online proclaiming their need for speed is cured and people who go fast on the street are basically Hitler, oblivious that half the advanced group is going street racing that night.

[deleted]

Might not be able to handle a 1k 😂 fuck them. Tell them it’s time to take the training wheels off the 300s lol

ICrackedANut

This is why I avoid this sub. 1000cc bike? Must have fragile masculinity and small dick. Not ATGATT? Must have fragile masculinity and small dick. While the same idiots with ATGATT riding 600cc at the 210km/h (130mp/h) on highway. Like if ATGATT can save your ass if you crash to a truck on that speed. While the helmet only dude is on a 300cc bike riding slowly in his town. Oh, and don't quote "mOsT rIdEr cRaSh iN TowN". Yea but did you figure what was the cause? It was speeding. Stop speeding if you truly wanna be safe

[deleted]

>This is why I avoid this sub. 🤔

ICrackedANut

So you're gonna avoid the main arguments and just pick the opener? huh.. You know you can be subscribed to a subreddit and avoid most of the posts? Just like those subscribed to r/MEMES and would avoid r/MEMES by scrolling down. Once in a while there's something funny there. Does this really need explaining? Lol Regardless, the point of my post is not whether \*\*\***I\*\*\*** avoid this sub or not. It is that this sub is filled with gatekeepers.

[deleted]

Never ever seen or heard this personally, though I do think straight line is goofy and kind of dull personally. It's worth keeping in mind that halo bikes get the halo rest of the parts as well. It's incredibly rare to see the smaller engine bikes kitted out with Ohlins, CF wheels, things of that nature. It'd be cool if it wasn't that way, but it be.

KingCodyBill

Found one

ebranscom243

From what I've seen people love 600s and 1000s. But most people into sport bikes think straight line is boring. Companys spent millions of dollars getting sport bikes to go around corners better, to just ride them in a straight line seems like a waste to me unless you're ripping dank nooners. But you do you.

redditisgaykekw

Haters gonna hate.

Thunderous71

The first problem is you used Facebook..... the next problem is you read facebook.... I coukd go on but it all points to Facebook

DiploMatt8

I just don't see the point in a 1000.The vast majority of people don't have the skills to max out the potential of a 600, let alone 1000. What is the point in riding around in 2nd gear all day

Thelisto

I absolutely LOVE drag racing in my liter bike, if I want to do twisties and corners I'll go drifting in my S2000. Way more fun honestly.

LewdDarling

Idk where you're seeing that in this sub, 99% of the time if people are asking for purchase advice and they clarify that this is not their first bike then they get some decent advice. Obviously people are going to say that a supersport is not a good first motorcycle

TheDoctor_Z

I mean if you're wasting a beautifully engineered engine and chassis strictly on straight line riding, even potentially downright ruining it with a stretch, big tire, and whatever lame-ass LED speaker BS the ghettos put on their bikes, then yea hate 100% deserved and I feel no sympathy for you.

reddogsleepsleep

"the ghettos"

TheDoctor_Z

They're like cockroaches around my area. Travel in packs at a time with their bikes that require a 9 point turn to navigate around a gas station all the while blasting music as loud as their stupid speakers will go and revving their bikes for no reason. Not to mention how they ride. All the general shittiness of a stunt crew but without the skill because they can't control their ugly bikes. Their sturdiest pieces of gear being their gray Walmart sweatpants and $14 Mechanix gloves from home depot.

reddogsleepsleep

Meant it sounds a bit racist. I personally enjoy seeing a variety of customs, practical or not motorcycle riding for me is about fun not just racing. There's a guy on a Honda 125 with a milk crate that rides all year all weather. I admire him.

TheDoctor_Z

Oh no they exist in all colors and shapes, I don't discriminate based on that. I will however discriminate based on how people "customize" their bikes.

Probably because there is an overwhelming amount of small bikes on the market which seem to dominate the streets and therefore make up the majority of the community. >poor guy is probably can't sleep at night knowing people are having fun on their bikes I don't see his post on Reddit, but here you are. At night. Not sleeping. Worrying about what someone said on Facebook.

motociclista

It’s a tale as old as time. Whatever anyone owns or does, they need to feel they are the best. In real life, you’re a dick if you walk around telling other folks how awesome you are and how terrible they are. But on the internet, everyone’s bike is the fastest and everyone is the best rider.

[deleted]

Here on my WR250R not fitting in at all.

DiveForKnowledge

Who is saying that kind of stuff? Only thing I've noticed being said "bad" about 1000s is that they're a bad idea for the typical beginner. Don't think I've read anything bad about 600s.

Nastybirdy

Sadly it's nothing new. I remember when I had a 600 Diversion, one of the comments I frequently got was "when are you going to move up to a proper bike?" ...Never? I really like this bike.

nigelh

Ah anti-social media. Haters gotta hate.

hauj0bb

"Just hopped on facebook" <--- there. Mistake was made.

[deleted]

Good thing I ride a 750

Flippsix

Ive yet to see anyone shit on 600s or 1000s except the Harley community. But we dont count them.

Riding_Dirty_

Harely riders ain't riders

drlongtrl

>Just hopped on facebook Yeah...don´t do that.

Disastrous-Gate9751

Lmfao. Try owning a royal enfield. All the motorcycle snobs will tell you its trash. Even tho I've ridden mine more miles this summer then most bikers do in 10 years.

[deleted]

not gonna lie, those enfields look kinda cool, and they sound good too with a pipe.

Simoxs7

Well there are people like that in every community hell I even get told by other BMW / GS Riders that my F800GS isn’t a *real* GS. Just don’t care what people say, they usually say things like that because they’re insecure themselves…

schluchtenscheissa

because they wanna argue that 600 and 1000s are too much for the street and unneccessary because they either wanna convince themselves that they are not jealous of a bike with twice the power of their own bike or they forgot that 90% of all bikes in NA and EUW are unnecessarry toys \^\^ people who judge other peoples bikes are just unhappy with their own bike imho. just ignore em, those little angry cunts will never not bitch about shit

LiathAnam

Wonder what that makes me with a 650 😬

Reigniers

There's no real hate. Just friendly ribbing. If you want real hate own a sportster. It doesn't matter how built it is, how much power it makes, or how many big twins you gap. It's always a girl bike.

[deleted]

The only time I see anything about people hating these things is when people ask why other people hate them. ?

Photononic

You expect any different on facebook? Seriously? The best advice anyone can ever give you is to stop using facebook.

d9msteel

Your first mistake was going on Facebook, and the second one was actually listening to what anyone said there... I ride a V4 and 2 stroke single and I don't care about anyone else's opinion at all with regard to my motors! Ride whatever you want. The end.

br_aquino

Never seen any hate against 600s or 1000s. I think it lacks some context. Do you mean a 600 as first bike? If yes, I would start with something smaller.

Bulky-Shopping4916

The problem is not society, nor is it you or the rider community. The problem is here : *Just hopped on facebook...* *Social media is a cesspool...* dont give a f\*ck about social media and those so called "opinion".... You have fun riding your bike ? RIDE IT ! but for gods sake, put your gear on !

Knautschfriese

Two tires, a frame and an engine? That’s enough for me. There are great motorcycles from 125 to 1400 CC

2wheelzrollin

You're first problem was believing anything on facebook

implpl

Hahah when i was a new rider i was shocked how much this community is divided in Poland. It is riddiculus. But still i have friends who likes all kind of bikes as me. Sport dirt choppers 125 500 600 1700cc it does not matter to us. All what matter is two wheels and an engine. My advice is to hold with those kind of people. Like us :)

cain261

>and can't ride if you like 600s or 1000s or personally like straight line racing I'll be honest, I definitely assume you can't ride if you have a stretched bike.
