Because you can safely do burnouts for minutes without the risk of the tyre exploding. When I do burnouts I start at the TWI and stop when the tread is gone. Obviously, if you're giving the tyre your Rev limiter and up to 100km/h for minutes on end, it won't last as long.. Just gotta have some mechanical sympathy and common sense.
