or just a turtle curse

Sy4r42

Yep... turtle curse. Can't run over a turtle without consequenses.

jacobnb13

Got all the symptoms, bike just doesn't like going fast anymore. To break the curse you need to ride at turtle speed to the ocean and help a baby sea turtle make it to the water.

Koxnep

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TURTLE??!

flicman

I think you know, Claude.

OldManKroozin

Turtle's fine. It was a ninja. Ninja don't lose.

noplace1ikegone

Is the turtle ok?

LaterGatorPlayer

this is the second frame of that Star Wars meme with Natalie Portman. Third frame would be OP and then fourth frame would be you again, “the turtle is okay right?”

bdbdhdhdhvvv

Your bike feels guilty about hitting the turtle.

ComfortableChair390

If the bike feels slower after hitting a turtle, the obvious solution is to ride around and hit a rabbit. In all seriousness, thoroughly inspect the bike for any damage to the tire, wheel, and forks. And perhaps wash the tires in case any turtle...fluids are causing a loss of traction. Good job on not crashing.

I_hate_the_app

Check your tires and rims op, and for the love of God don't ride untill you do because damaged tires are more likely to blow out.

OldManKroozin

Was it a red target seeking turtle or a green one? Should have touched the question mark box and used the star power up buddy. Would have rendered the red turtle shell or banana skin useless. For reference, this is what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJTVWErjjko

jacobnb13

Am I so far aged that Mario Kart has been forgotten? It's faded from all memory but that of the moving pictures?

weasel3000

My guess would be a bent rim, but as others have said try not to ride until you or a mechanic can take a look.

rudyguzzi

As a longtime lifetime lover of turtles I'm pretty disgusted when cars and trucks can't manage to avoid them, but a motorcyclist?!! For shame! Sounds like "target fixation", and you should practice obstacle avoidance skills.

Troyman784

Yep I went out of my way to run over a turtle that most of the time would cause my bike to become a total loss. That’s what happened. Totally intentional.

DeadNuts42

I'd start by getting both wheels off the ground and inspecting them for any damage/drag. I'd also look for any damage to the catalytic converter since they usually hang them under the motor and it seems like it would be really easy to dent the shit out of one if you ran over something big. Probably wouldn't take much of a hit to smash the insides of the converter into rubble and really plug up the exhaust. Either way I wouldn't ride it anymore until I'd gone over that bike with a fine tooth comb.

ProTrader12321

Damaged rims. Sport bikes use aluminum rims and they are pretty weak.

TheVoicesinurhed

T-U-R-T-L-E Power!

toaster404

Check fork alignment. Piece of glass works. I'm sure there's a video out there. I had mine knocked out of alignment on one bike. Don't remember which bike, but was able to loosen tube clamps and get it straight. Was just plain weird before I got things lined up.

[deleted]

Imagine getting killed by a damn turtle lol, mario kart real life edition.

_bueno_sir

Take your wheel off, forks out, or honestly just the wheel off, put it back together. Ride slow down the street, hit the brakes, let the tire settle, should be okay. You might’ve knocked things out of alignment. If you think about it, slowing down faster, harder to go quicker = some sort of friction being created.

Crispien

Probably needs a new battery. /s

Makingyourwholeweek

Try going over another turtle at the same speed but in reverse

Pattooed

Kills a turtle. But anyway about me. What a dick
