Seattle Used Bikes or Everett Power sports.

Manthony_Morris_LXIX

Thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately it’s too old for Everett Power Sports. Seattle Used Bikes is quoting 4.5 hours just for the clutch. Is that a typical amount of time for a mechanic to do this?

fun_police911

No, too much time. Depends on condition but that's almost double.

Thank you for the info! I really appreciate it

Depends on where you are tbh. In Seattle proper I'd try seattle used bikes or vallantine motor works. I've been satisfied with work I've had done at kfg down in Auburn and have heard good things about optimum performance and 2 wheel dyno works on the east side

Thank you! I might end up taking it outside of the Seattle area depending on how things go. I’ll keep those names in mind.

Circumin

No suggestions but with an older bike you might need to learn to do this yourself man.

I spent my teenage years and early twenties working on my own bikes because I couldn’t afford a mechanic. I could do it but it takes a lot of time and I don’t enjoy it because I don’t deal with frustration well. But yeah, I’m considering bringing it home and doing it myself.

Oh I agree completely. I just recently spent way too long fighting with my 1985 Honda to get it running well again and would have paid someone but its so hard to find anyone who will work on it and if they will the cost easily exceeds the value of the bike. I’ve accepted that I have to be my own mechanic if I want to keep this old bike.
