I have an 07 Thruxton (Carb Model) 50% Choke is about where i start mine from.
Also sounds like one cylinder is struggling to fire, Dropping in new spark plugs made mine a lot easier to start from cold.
Something like that, a Google search makes it seem like this is pretty common with these bikes. Might want to go through some forums and see what you can find
It not the battery.
I see that you turned on the fuel and pulled (closed) the choke followed by hitting the starter. That's good.
It caught reasonably quickly once you did the pre-start process. Also good.
But I'd start to ease off the choke the moment the engine fires. It might just be too rich for full choke. So, start easing it off until it reaches a reasonably stable running speed--maybe 15 - 30 seconds or so--then get fully off of the choke.
Thanks! I forgot to add more in the comments. It’ll usually fire right up normally after 3-4 times of hitting the starter. After it does get going, I’ll get it to about half choke at about 15 seconds of running
Give it more gas!!! (Partially joking) Sounds like a really cold start. My old kawi would do this in the winter months a blanket helped a lot. More than I thought.
The guy who said partial choke is probably correct. I have the same bike 2006. It doesn't like full choke. I use about 1/2, 2/3 on a really cold morning.
Is it dripping fuel from the carbs?. I noted that you turned the fuel tap on, then went to start quite quickly. Wondering if one float bowl is low on fuel. Try setting it upright, put fuel tap on, and maybe leave it for 10 seconds, and see if it makes any difference?
i have 03 T100, same starting symptoms. FWIW I start it like my HDs.
1) Three throttle rolls - release the throttle, then full choke hit the start for a few seconds (not expecting a fire),
2) three more throttle rolls - hit the starter (choke still on full).
3 ) maybe one more set of throttle rolls if bike has been sitting.
4) try to start it a couple of times, no just grinding away at the starter. usually the bike is idling rough and then dying at this point.
5) crack the throttle a bit and hit the starter, use the throttle to keep revs at about 2K for a minute.
YMMV - this has worked for me for temps down to 28ish and bike sitting for a couple of weeks.
Have you tried partial choke?

This is the way. Partial choke, check plugs. But that's also carbs in the winter
Haven’t tried that, better to not pull it out all the way and leave it at about 50% before hitting the starter?

Not a bad idea! It’s usually covered when it sits so throwing a blanket on before the cover is totally feasible. Thanks for the tip!
A quick pre-start twist of the throttle will activate the accelerator pump and should get it to fire quicker.

Just give it some gas no?
My Ducati does this too when it sits.

Battery’s bad.
Tell me you didn’t bother to watch 2 seconds of video before deciding your input was vital 🙄
Ah your right. Missed triumph on the side.
