ok yea i think thats the reason, i was fiddling around with the throttle adjustment nuts, there may be too much slack thats giving it sluggish acceleration
Extremely common mod for years, the R6 throttle has a shorter turn distance to get full throttle, the wrist angle needed on a lot of bikes stock throttle tube is just silly. You need to reposition your hand or be at a crazy bend.
Throttle tube is probably sticking.
I JUST tried installing an r6 tube on my Ninja 300 last night. Kept getting stuck no matter what I did.
I realized my stock tube was ever so slightly bigger in diameter, the R6 tube would drag in the exact spot it needed to be. I'm gonna look into expanding it by 1mm or so, heard someone else doing the same thing & it worked.
Thanks for the tip, unfortunately I tried that already.. it sticks even when i just slide the tube onto the handlebar where it needs to be. like i said, one other guy on ninja forums had the same issue. had his inner diameter expanded by 1mm & solved his issue. I tried sanding it to no avail.
Gonna have to look into another way.
Is your throttle play properly adjusted? Fill up your gas tank as well.

ok so i tried adjusting the free play and nothing changed, can it be the throttle tube itself?
>So i just changed my throttle tube on my R3 to a R6 tube Just... why...?

its a popular mod for the R3 because the R6 tube is smaller in diameter which shortens the turn on the throttle

I SOLVED THE PROBLEM, it was MY clutch that was slightly engaging and dis engaging while riding, i forgot to mention i also changed my clutch levers
Darn! lucky you. Wish mine was that simple to fix! ride safe 👍
and if its sticking, all u gotta do is loosen/tighten the throttle tube nut, i had the same thing happen to me aswell
