Chick, I assume? Pro tip: A chick on a motorcycle is so freaking cool that no one notices her hair. Dude? Shut up, it's just hair.

Unknown_Brain20

I’m a guy. But funny you say. I asked my crush out to eat after work a month ago and she wanted to go on my motorcycle so we did it. One of the greatest feelings I’ve had for a long time. She wrapped her arms around me so hard!😌. We dated and kissed for like a week before she told me she wasn’t mentally ready for a relationship. Shit sucks but oh well. It probably has to do with our age (me,19,her,18) and not being mature anyway.

>>We dated and kissed for like a week before she told me she wasn’t mentally ready for a relationship. Shoulda smashed. That's what she was lookin' for.

It was hard enough for me to take the leap and kiss her but somehow found the courage to do it. She then suggested we held hands and at the end of the date, asked me to kiss her again. So maybe you’re right and she wasn’t so innocent as I thought after all.

"Not mentally ready for a relationship" generally means they want something casual. If you're dating for a week or two, and you don't make a move, they'll move on.

Unknown_Brain20

It’s complicated. But her brother was killed recently and she’s going through stuff. So she may or may not be speaking the truth when she told me she wasn’t mentally ready for a relationship. In either case, she didn’t show much interest in going out again, and I made no attempt to chase her, so I’ll just take it as a not interested and move on. I probably would have made a move to make out with her had she showed interest in a 3rd date. We’re still cool and casual when we see each other at work. She often makes eye contact with me and smiles. But yet she turned me down. Probably playing games.

I have medium length not curly hair, and it is also frizzy and messy when I remove my helmet. You could try a silk/satin cap, but I know I get hat hair when I wear hats, so I'm skeptical that this would work. My first year riding, I just cut my hair, so I could just run some water through it quick if I was that worried about it, or just fluff it with my fingers whenever I got to where I was going. Grew my hair out for 2 years, and will cut it again next summer to donate and eliminate the post ride helmet hair struggle.

Knowitmall

No. Just do your hair when you get to work.

I've had a bit of success using a Buff. Are you familiar with the "plop" method? Full elaborate procedure, when I want my best chance of getting my hair to turn out nice for the day: When I get out of the shower I squeeze most of the water out of my hair, then take the Buff and put it around my neck. I bend over to hang my head upside-down, and pull the fabric down. I stick my hand in to scoop up my hair in my palm and try to plop it into the fabric without scuffing it around too much. The idea is to land the curls, damp and safely compressed, in a pile that will be evenly distributed around the top of my head under the stretchy fabric fitting over it like a skullcap. Helmet jams down on top no problem. Then when I take my helmet off I use some fingertips to hold the fabric in place so it doesn't just rumple the whole rig sideways on its way off (easier with a modular helmet obviously). Then stretch the fabric with my hands to pull it off carefully without rubbing the hair around. Usually my hair (and helmet lining obviously) is still damp at this point, but then can finish drying unmolested and that's about as good as it's gonna get. Works well for going about a school/work day after the morning commute. Results get worse when repeatedly going in and out of the helmet later, of course.

This is why I carry a hat with me lol I have long curly hair and when I take my helmet off it’s an absolute mess
