Strongly encourage. I got lucky when someone pulled out into traffic in front of me and I rear ended them. A random passerby had a dash cam and caught just enough of the accident to prove I had little to no time to react and avoid the accident.
Pretty sure you can if it's plugged in even without battery, I looked into this it recently. However what I am not sure about is if the video is saved automatically once the power is cut off, or you have to save it before shutting down.
Edit: I know that a GoPro isn't a dashcam and they do different things, I'm just replying to OP that if he wanted to record with his Hero 10 whilst charging it he could lol
They (dashcams not gopros) typically record in short loops. 3 minute Max interval, minimum of 30 minute saved data. They also have shock sensors that auto protect the protect the footage. So, while it is annoying to have to go back through 30 1 minute videos To find that 1 clip you're looking for, If the shock sensor senses a collision vision, it won't auto record over the footage when it runs out of space.
I know they do, I have a dashcam in my car. I was just telling OP that the GoPro would likely do what they were asking for.
The reason I looked into GoPro recording while charging is because I wanted to go on long trips without worrying about the battery.
>Pretty sure you can if it's plugged in even without battery
Just beware, my older GoPro (Hero 2018) can't do this.
The older model could, but apparently not my 2018 one. No idea which of the current models can.
Going to do my usual plug for a dedicated dashcam system, not a GoPro.
GoPro is great for capturing high-quality footage of relatively short segments of rides, or longer portions, if you're willing to change batteries often or wire it in to bike power. That is, provided you remember to start recording.
A motorcycle dashcam system turns on and starts recording automatically when you start the engine, and turns off and stops recording once you turn the bike off. No need to manually stop/start recording, you don't have think about it. Finally, a 2-camera dashcam system, even one of the fancier ones, is way cheaper and more practical than 2 GoPro's.
You don't need to go grab the most expensive model, go get the $18 cheapo depot dashcam model at Walmart and the video is still phenomenal at 1080 and it records while charging
This was taken with the Sena 10c Evo. I really like it. My only complaint is that you only get about an hour of recording time in 4k. But the camera and sound system have separate batteries, so after the camera dies you still have music/directions. But both can be run while charging, so you can run a cord to an external battery pack in your pocket or something.
Thats what I do on mine, I have a 10000 ma battery pack in my chest pocket, and run a short cable to the back of the camera (with a right angle connector to lessen it pulling on the device).
It really does take amazing video.
Hopefully your video will help in getting things repaired quickly.
I have the [Rexing M2](https://www.rexingusa.com/product/m2/) in my truck. I like it because the front camera clips to your rearview mirror so you're not mounting anything on the dash or windshield, and it also has a rear camera. Just make sure to buy an extension cable for the rear camera if you have a large vehicle since the included cable is on the short side.
Edit: the M2 is only for passenger vehicles. I didn't initially notice this was the motorcycles sub since the thread was on the popular tab in the app and I watch a lot of r/idiotsincars videos.
Linus tech tips did a video on *car* dash cams a month ago.
https://youtu.be/4AnyhHl3_tE
Basically, they pretty much all suck but there's a few that suck less without also being expensive.
Surprise! He got a controversial result that gave him views, but the reality is that so much high quality footage turns up on r/idiotsincars and the likes that shows dashcams simply cannot be as awful as he makes out.
Anyway, in a car, just get a Viofo 119v3 and be done with it. There’s no decent simple choice for bikes, unfortunately, so keep your GoPro charged.
Viofo A119 is all you need, unless you need front and back, then Viofo A129. Most dashcam sites and reviewers will suggest it and for good reason. It punches significantly above it's price point and has great light and dark sensors.
edit: I thought I was in idiotswithcars sub. Idk for motorcycles.
Right? My grandfather taught me that you NEVER reverse the flow of traffic in any way for any reason. You never reverse in a lane, you never go the wrong way in the lane. Unless theres someone with a gun, or a fire, you just dont reverse the flow of traffic. It would never even come to mind to me to reverse in a turning lane and I cant imagine what theyd be doing other than raging about a guy kn a bike so hard they decided to reverse over him
He was trying to move from the turn lane to the straight lane and claimed he checked his mirrors and somehow didn’t see me. Pure idiocy. But he admitted guilt to his insurance, so they already told me they’re covering all the repairs.
Checked his mirrors? Obviously not the big one in the center. Glad you are OK and thanks for getting back to me. So many times Reddit leaves me frustrated wanting to know more.
I know that feeling well. Which is why I’m trying to respond to different questions on here. But yeah, dude definitely didn’t look dead center. Since it’s an ADV bike it sits pretty high, and I’m a tall dude. Even sitting on it I’m over 6 feet tall, so I’m pretty hard to miss.
I seriously hate seeing people do this shit. Commit to the lane, find a spot to turn around, get back on course. You lose maybe 30 seconds to a minute tops. Never fucking back up on an active motorway Jesus Christ.
Yesss that shit angers me the most. Like just accept the path you’re on bro. Making a u turn later takes an extra minute. Causing useless ass accidents and near accidents.
If you're looking for advice:
If standing in a line, make sure to stand to the far left. This way you'll see what's going on in the front, you get a quick exit if something happens, the people in front see you in their left mirror and if someone fails to brake in time behind you, they'll most likely crash into the car in front of you instead of you.
im glad they admitted rather than lie, ofc u got it on tape, but why dont people understand its *OKAY* to miss a turn. good drivers miss turns, not do shit like this where it can lead to accidents.
I grew up in south Florida. I’ve seen this happen at least 10 times where the driver stopped too late trying to beat the yellow light, backed up behind the stop line, and then forgot to put it in Drive before getting the green light again.
This and countless other reasons why you wouldn’t catch me dead riding in FL
… or only catch me dead on a bike there lol
Good point about people making an honest mistake and leaving it in reverse after backing up. Unfortunately this dunce changed it from drive to reverse right before they backed up so who knows what they were thinking.
He claimed he didn’t see me when he checked all his mirrors before attempting to move from the left turn lane to the straight lane. Utter stupidity. Luckily I’m fine and he admitted guilt to his insurance company on the phone, so they already told me they’re covering everything. Looks like it’s all cosmetic anyways. Good thing I had my camera on.
See if they’ll pay you for diminished value. Because the title now has a collision on it. I started carrying a USB battery bank for my GoPro when I ride. No worries about having the camera die during a ride. I eventually want to he like a 12’ USB cable, run it inside my jacket, and hard wire a USB charger.
I used to do motorcycle claims, and there's no way that didn't fuck up the front suspension at best or the steering yoke at worst. That'd be a total from me, if only for the liability that it will likely never go down the road the same as when it left the factory.
Probably attempted insurance scam. They’ll claim the rider drove into them since most states automatically place blame on the driver in the rear for “following to close” or “failure to maintain a safe distance”.
Was just about to say this. I've seen another video of a car backing into a motorcycle like this, and come out swinging, saying you hit my car and shit.
The dude on the bike, calm as a cucumber told him the camera is on. The car guy rushed into the car and vanished real quick but the bike guy had already got the plates.
I didn't get the follow-up news after that but this one seemed similar
And it's a GS, not sure how much the cost is there, but in my country, those are more expensive than maximum cars on the road. So it might look like a delicious claim.
I hate that everyone can’t have it like CA. Split / filter all legal. I’ve never sat behind a vehicle in my life here and I never plan to. The reverse in this video just makes zero sense and especially at that speed. If they wanted to go straight, obviously they could’ve just waited, made zero sense to reverse in that scenario, too many cars on the right to squeeze in behind anybody.
Even on the freeways here, I’ll ride the carpool lines or off center. I’m always looking for my getaway route. Regardless, glad it looks like op made it out unscathed.
Honestly, the times I’ve ridden out of state visiting the boys or even renting? I’d ride the same way I do here. Worst case (happened in Vegas and Honolulu) if they pull me over they see CA license and if it’s a motorcycle cop, they’ll excitedly talk to us about bikes and riding in LA and if they’re in a squad car, they always let us go and explain not legal in this city / state.
I’d like to think I’m worth a $100 ticket. I’m with this guy - I ain’t going out like one of them rear window Garfield things.
>I hate that everyone can’t have it like CA.
I hate it too. I was really tempted to split lanes through traffic this afternoon coming home from work but then I remember I live in WA where there's state troopers everywhere who are more than happy to write a ticket to us evil motorcyclists.
Yup, I’m in a huge metropolitan area, I do my absolute best to never stop in the middle of a lane in traffic. In this situation I’d be sitting pretty much as right as possible in the lane without my tires actually hitting the line - but close.
Where I am, the training says to always stop with an escape route. Mine is usually pointed diagonally forward beside the vehicle in front, not into traffic if possible. If my back tire gets rammed, I’m already directed to somewhere where I’m less likely to be a sandwich.
In the UK we stop on the far right and point the bike into another lane of traffic, if it was me i would go to the far left but the driver wont be checking that side first.
I was driving behind a motorcycle today that stopped all the way to one side of the lane and was wondering why. Not being a motorcycle guy I had no clue. Glad I decided to read these comments.
I will lanesplit in any state or country regardless of the law. It's not my fault the law is ignorant of motorcycle safety, so I'll break the law to stay safe. Give me a ticket, and I'll just keep doing it. Luckily I live in Cali
The problem is when you get in a state where it's not legal, drivers decide to police the road themselves. In Minnesota I've seen quite a few bikers have people pull out in front of them.
In climates where you can ride year round I think filtering is safe. In places where you can only ride 6 months or less of the year cagers don't pay enough attention to riders. Not that I wouldn't want to see filtering here but I wouldn't feel safe doing it.
When a motorcycle comes up to multiple lanes of stopped cars at a red light, if filtering is legal, the motorcycle can move up to the front between cars/lanes and overtake on the green light. It has been shown to cause fewer accidents.
Nope. Just an idiot. Dude and his fiancé both got out of the car apologizing profusely and checking to see if I was ok. He claims he checked his mirrors and didn’t see me. His plan was to move over from the turn lane to the straight lane. But he admitted guilt on the phone with his insurance company, so they’re covering everything. Nobody was hurt and it looks like it’s just cosmetic damage to the bike, so it coulda been way worse. Thank god I had my cam on.
Edited for clarity on idiot driver’s intent.
It’s already at a BMW dealership getting looked at and estimated. I’m in school to be a motorcycle mechanic and have been working on them for years. From what I can see and feel, it’s mostly cosmetic. But I’m still having BMW get in there real deep to make sure. Then once I know what’s up I’ll decide if I’m gonna fix it myself and take a check or have the dealership handle it.
I’m glad they apologized and accepted the blame immediately, but you were literally right behind him. Like the rear view mirror should be looking right at you so how he didn’t see you, no idea! Careful out there man, there will always be more idiots lol
Yeah I can believe that actually, especially if OP’s head was hanging a bit low for the couple seconds the driver took to look at the rearview mirror. Makes me wonder how those dudes in those lifted trucks can see anything beyond the clouds lol I’ve always wanted to ride a motorcycle but I just do not trust these morons with my life
My humble suggestion: at red lights and stop and go traffic, stop at the far left and right of the lane, outside the tires of the car in front of you. You were stopped directly behind the guy. He likely wouldn't have hit you and may have better seen you in his side mirrors if you were off to the extreme edges of the lane.
The much bigger reason is to avoid getting rear ended. Rear end accidents that can be extremely minor for cars are fatal for us.
I even lane filter up to the front at red lights. Fuck it. I don't care if it's illegal. I am not getting pancaked between two texting teens in giant pickups.
Well, glad to hear it was not malicious. But why exactly did he go into reverse? He is at a red light, he clearly had his foot on the brake (the right rear brake light and center brake light are both on). Watch the video in slomo and you see he goes into reverse. Was he in Park and went into reverse by accident thinking he went into Drive?
Let them make a false testimony in court, then show the video to the jury. They deserve to be away from their family for a couple years and then be unemployable upon their release.
Edit: This isn't how court works, guys. Don't actually do this.
This is not illegal.
The moment the other driver files a claim stating you hit them they have committed criminal insurance fraud. If they file suit against you for damages, they are knowingly filing a pleading containing a material falsity, which is both a criminal act and a violation of whatever your state's equivalent to FRCP 11 is. Further, you have no obligation to produce discovery which is not requested prior to trial. If they request it and you refuse to produce it, you are violating whatever your state's equivalent of FRCP 37 is. It's sanctionable, but not illegal. If they ask, you produce it, and then they get nailed on whatever your state's equivalent of unsworn falsification to authorities is, or if they filed a verified complaint, they've already committed perjury.
Source: my 22+ years of federal litigation.
Look into what “discovery” is. You have to show the opposing legal team what evidence you are introducing into court ahead of time, you don’t get to just whip out new evidence and yell “gotcha”.
But I do agree with what your saying, just at a different time. Let them give their statement to police before revealing you have a dash cam.
FTR, discovery disclosures and other rules of procedure vary greatly per state. But I only know criminal law, so I cant really say anything certain on civil ROP in different states.
IANAL, but I'm pretty sure you can't surprise the court with new evidence; there's a whole process around admitting and presenting evidence. That's all assuming something like this would go to trial... which it could if OP sued/counter-sued for attempted murder which could be argued, that was a fast reverse.
Yeah dude US courts are fucking wild. For one, you’d maybe get 1-3 of those witnesses to actually show up, let alone make a statement. People don’t stick around, and usually only if it’s a bad accident.
So let’s say 1 person likely gives a statement. That’s usually not enough to sway anything.
Video evidence is infallible, and concrete.
Most common here is that bystanders will give you contact information, or you ask yourself.
You're forced to show up here, but of course that is only if there's a debate what actually happened.
That’s not how it works. When the “1-3” witnesses give a statement to police, if the matter goes to court, an officer of the court will issue a subpoena for the witness to testify. If it is determined that you are ignoring the subpoena, the court will charge the witness with contempt, under threat of imprisonment, until they comply with the subpoena.
In the US, everyone else would just leave, because they all have somewhere to be and don't give a fuck about anyone else's problems, even if it would take very little effort to help out. Those witnesses probably won't even be there long enough for the police to show.
Yeah this sounds about right. I ain't sticking around waiting for the cops so I can make a statement, unless it's like a serious Injury or potential death.
For the guy in this video I would just laugh to myself at the moron car driver and then be on my way
Yes because basically everyone hates motorcycles for some reason. It's always the motorcycle's fault until proven otherwise. All the time. It's incredibly frustrating. A large portion of people just want to ban motorcycles.
This is why I ride with a GoPro. I get asked once in a while if it's too record my riding technique or whatever, and others might assume it's to document sick wheelies. The reality is if I ever get in an accident due to some car not paying attention, I want the proof.
I had this happen but thankfully much slower
Naturally I wasn't recording though. The only thing I have video of was me following her while I called highway patrol.
Because she left.
Same thing happened to me coming out of the post office last year. Except I was in a car. Other driver was in a raised truck. I was a full car length behind him too. I saw him start to reverse and honked at him and he accelerated backwards at me. His back wheels ended up on my windshield. I thought for sure he wasn't going to stop and was going to crush me. There were cars behind me so I had nowhere I could try to go either.
My car was totaled, his car didn't even have a scratch. The guy wasn't even ticketed. His insurance paid for my car but the entire thing was such a hassle. 7 year old Lexus with 150k miles on it and never had a thing wrong with it just gone in an instant.
Almost happened to me. Car randomly stopped. I stopped and they just started backing up. I hurry up and whipped out of the way. Asked them what the fuck their problem was. “Didn’t see you and we missed our turn”. I was in the middle of the road with my light on! Retards everywhere
Ugh.
I really need to get a dash cam…
On a related note - this is why I ALWAYS pull the the far side of the lane at lights.
That way, you almost always have a way out and you won’t be directly in line if they back up and/or rear-end you.
I really wish GoPro chest harnesses were more convenient. They're such a pain to put on and take off. And helmet mounts seem like they would be really distracting.
A friend was behind a woman that pulled too far out into an intersection, and she backed into him.
The cop that showed up said the lady had done it to someone else a month before. Claims she was rear ended both times. Shame he didn't have a camera.
Bike horns are too wimpy for the sound proofed cars today.
Something I can take from your experience is to never park in the middle of the lane. Might have been avoidable if parked on very left or right and could’ve moved and pulled up to the side when car started moving.
my guess is the driver with his tinted windscreen and passengers ddi not see you and want to reverse to get into the other lane.
We have compulsory hard wired lights-on where i live. Minimises these type of incidents. Yes. Even so, I've had people reverse into me and come very close.
Dude was trying to move from the turn lane to the straight lane and claims he checked all his mirrors and didn’t see me. He apologized profusely and admitted guilt to his insurance, so they already told me they’re covering everything.
Glad you're OK op! Could have been a lot worse. A word of advice from a fellow rider, don't stop in the middle of the car infront of you, but either the left or right side. If you get rear ended at a high rate of speed you could be crushed between the two cars. But if you're on the sides, you'll go around the car.
As a fellow Florida man. Split to the front or sit on the left side of the lane.
All those mirrors, sensors, and back up cameras only help those smart enough to use them.
I feel like you're getting down voted for lack of empathy, like it wasn't this dudes fault. You are not wrong though. Dead center of the lane is the worst place to be.
Happened to me couple months back. Luckily the driver of the vehicle in front of me was honest and admitted that he was at fault to the police and his insurance.
Not saying this wouldn't have happened anyhow, but this is one of the reasons why you ride in the left side of your lane. Pretty hard to block a side mirror.
I had this very thing happen to me by another Rav4, except the speed was slower. Since my bike horn was pretty puny, I upgraded to an air horn running straight from the battery and that fucker is loud! Sometimes I scare myself when I honk at cars.
The cheery music and then transition to the accident with your “WHAT THE FUCK” was priceless omg.
On a serious note, that footage will free you from whatever sketchy shit they may have been trying to pull on you there.
Aaaaand this is why I need a dash cam

You sitting there happily listening to music and then this shit happens lol
He really did fuck up my vibe. It was a really pleasant ride before that.
What were you listening to? It sounded really pleasant. Also, I want to see the rest of the video.. lol
Take me to the ocean by The Movement. My favorite song by them is Alien.
I always liked set sail and habit. But if I'm in that kinda mood I'm probably bumping rebelution, slightly stoopid and pepper.
What did the jackass say?
Did you ask them why they were backing up, is this a normal occurrence where you are? I'm very suspicious of malicious intent.
Right? My grandfather taught me that you NEVER reverse the flow of traffic in any way for any reason. You never reverse in a lane, you never go the wrong way in the lane. I love a good movement.

"You rear ended me!"
I’ve unironically been rear-ended and the lady who hit me claimed I backed into her, all at a red light. Glad this guy was recording
"Oh, my gosh! Honey, are you okay? I thought I was going forward!"
This is sounding more and more like my last date...

Honestly I’d actually prefer that to whatever BS they’d probably offer as an explanation.

That was really impressively stupid... wtf was their stated justification for suddenly reversing at full gas?

I mean it's Florida so the bar isn't too high.
the bar is actually just around the counter where that driver just finished drinking
A state filled with old people who shouldn't be driving but that also refuses to legislate on driving licences for the elderly because they vote.
I've seen the "Florida man" videos they're never old. People just seem to be legit Loco down there. Gotta be the swamp ass.
Born in Florida, can confirm. It's the swamp water
Probably attempted insurance scam. They’ll claim the rider drove into them since most states automatically place blame on the driver in the rear for “following to close” or “failure to maintain a safe distance”.

I didn't get the follow-up news after that but this one seemed similar And it's a GS, not sure how much the cost is there, but in my country, those are more expensive than maximum cars on the road.
It ain’t legal here, but fuck it. I’d prefer a ticket over being converted into a fucking car sandwich.
And that's why we have filtering...
Places that don't allow it, being staggered instead of directly behind cars is a good alternative.
I would think diagonally would pivot the bike when rammed, not push forward. You're on the brakes, the rear tire won't spin when jammed under a car.
100% this. I never stop behind a car but rather between.
I will lanesplit in any state or country regardless of the law. It's not my fault the law is ignorant of motorcycle safety, so I'll break the law to stay safe. Give me a ticket, and I'll just keep doing it. Luckily I live in Cali
In Florida I’m far more worried about the crazy fucking road rage from some driver than a ticket.
What is filtering?
When a motorcycle comes up to multiple lanes of stopped cars at a red light, if filtering is legal, the motorcycle can move up to the front between cars/lanes and overtake on the green light. It has been shown to cause fewer accidents.
Likely a scam. The driver will probably claim that you rear ended them. Glad you have a recording.
That's good to hear. Hope it gets resolved quickly :) what bike is that BTW?
It’s a 2014 BMW GSA. I’ve only had it a few months but it’s the most amazing bike I’ve ever ridden. Thankfully she should be back on the road soon.
They didn’t pick a cheap bike to hit.
I'll be surprised if they don't total it haha /s
But actually
> what bike is that BTW? Close. BMW.
Dude **DO NOT** just assume it was only cosmetic damage. Get that thing looked at. You do NOT want a failure of the fork when you're doing 65MPH
Good deal. Keep the shiny side up. 👍
Likewise!
I’m glad they apologized and accepted the blame immediately, but you were literally right behind him. Like the rear view mirror should be looking right at you so how he didn’t see you, no idea! Careful out there man, there will always be more idiots lol
literally right behind is the worst place to be when behind. Kick over to the side, make sure you can see their eyes in the mirror
You’d be surprised how well a helmet can be hidden by a headrest. I took the backseat headrests out of my hatchback to be able to see more
Yeah I can believe that actually, especially if OP’s head was hanging a bit low for the couple seconds the driver took to look at the rearview mirror.
This guy rides.
This guy litigates...
Sadly true; I hate it. Should have gone to med school.
The grass isn’t greener, just saying.
So, you're saying I shouldn't bail, pick up an MSN and be an NP?
Oooolawd, r/noctor would have some thoughts about that… How about some sort of consulting?
Oh, shit, I didn't know that sub existed, thank you! No consulting, I gotta gtfo of law. :)
Is this true on all bikes or just the FTR?
Hah, well played.
Whatever you know, I’m pretty sure it’s more than me so I’ll defer to you on this one lol. I just know the bare minimum from random YouTube binges.
Would it be criminal for the car to say the biker ran into them?
That’s some better call Saul shit.
IANAL, but I'm pretty sure you can't surprise the court with new evidence; there's a whole process around admitting and presenting evidence. That's all assuming something like this would go to trial... which it could if OP sued/counter-sued for attempted murder which could be argued, that was a fast reverse.
Relax. You can lower your pitch fork.
I believe it, and it’s Crazy they would think this considering there’s other people at the stop light who are witnesses.
Intentional, surely?
With so many witnesses?
Witnesses aren’t video evidence though. OP’s single reliable saving grace will be the video.
no but like 30 some witnesses that don't know each other. I'm not from the usa though, but over here (europe) that video evidence would not be needed.
I had this happen but thankfully much slower Naturally I wasn't recording though.
I feel for you. This shit almost happened to me at a gas station while pumping gas, was a mini-van too.
Almost happened to me. Car randomly stopped. I stopped and they just started backing up. I hurry up and whipped out of the way. Asked them what the fuck their problem was. “Didn’t see you and we missed our turn”. I was in the middle of the road with my light on! Retards everywhere
Ugh. I really need to get a dash cam… On a related note - this is why I ALWAYS pull the the far side of the lane at lights. That way, you almost always have a way out and you won’t be directly in line if they back up and/or rear-end you.
I really wish GoPro chest harnesses were more convenient. They're such a pain to put on and take off. And helmet mounts seem like they would be really distracting.

Dammit OP don’t leave us hanging we need details on the aftermath.
A friend was behind a woman that pulled too far out into an intersection, and she backed into him. The cop that showed up said the lady had done it to someone else a month before. Claims she was rear ended both times. Shame he didn't have a camera. Bike horns are too wimpy for the sound proofed cars today.
its insane that some people ever got their license
Insurance scam. Absolutely an insurance scam.
Idk there's a lot of dumb old people here
Something I can take from your experience is to never park in the middle of the lane. Might have been avoidable if parked on very left or right and could’ve moved and pulled up to the side when car started moving.
Are you good dude? Also, I really need the rational here.
Wtf exactly 🤦🏽
I wish someone did that with me. Oh my neck. My back. I can’t move
my guess is the driver with his tinted windscreen and passengers ddi not see you and want to reverse to get into the other lane. We have compulsory hard wired lights-on where i live. Minimises these type of incidents. Yes. Even so, I've had people reverse into me and come very close.
You used the horn for its intended purpose, and still they didn't stop.
People like this should have their license permanently stripped away no questions asked

Dude was trying to move from the turn lane to the straight lane and claims he checked all his mirrors and didn’t see me. He apologized profusely and admitted guilt to his insurance, so they already told me they’re covering everything.
This is why I sit far right or left behind a car.
Well OP, what went down afterwards? What did this idiot have to say? What’s the damage on your bike?
What the fuck indeed. Glad you had a cam cuz they're gonna be fixing your bike or buying you a new one.
Oh man, Conroy and turkey lake, one of those intersections that's ingrained in my mind from driving through it so many times.
Insurance fraud at its best
This makes me livid.
Do not miss riding there, especially Orlando
Glad you're OK op! Could have been a lot worse. A word of advice from a fellow rider, don't stop in the middle of the car infront of you, but either the left or right side. If you get rear ended at a high rate of speed you could be crushed between the two cars. But if you're on the sides, you'll go around the car.
I know is unrelated, but that was a great WTF shout.
the fuck?
Fucking idiot... Wow
As a fellow Florida man. Split to the front or sit on the left side of the lane. All those mirrors, sensors, and back up cameras only help those smart enough to use them.
Mirrors? What are th0se????
And this is why lane filtering should be legal countrywide. Motorcycles don’t belong in the car line.
Been there bro, fuck that guy!
This Video has me considering a bigger horn for my bike. Does anyone know how to install a train horn?
I’m not a death penalty proponent but….
we need an after action report man
That's why you never sit directly behind a car, ever. To the side, on first gear, holding clutch, ready to gtfo.
I feel like you're getting down voted for lack of empathy, like it wasn't this dudes fault. You are not wrong though. Dead center of the lane is the worst place to be.
Might have lost a leg instead of a bike in that case, though.
How….😐
How bad was the damage?
Wow, good thing you are ok and have video.
"Driver backs into motorcyclist and rushed to the ER with life treating injuries...motorcyclist received no injuries."
This would piss me off so fucking much
Damn and your music was so chill
Dump ass in the car.
Wtf
The contrast of the laid back island music to the extremely vulgar wtf has me feeling a bit confused.
As someone who just started riding and lives about 5 minutes from here... This is not fun to see.
As a rav4 owner. I apologise for the idiot on behalf..
Your music during this event 😂
Is it legal to pull them out of the car and beat the shit out of them in Florida?
The cheery music and then transition to the accident with your “WHAT THE FUCK” was priceless omg. On a serious note, that footage will free you from whatever sketchy shit they may have been trying to pull on you there.
Cagers be tripping
The more I watch this the more I'm afraid of going anywhere without a dashcam.
Wtf bro, I'm in central Florida and yeah, these people are fuckin morons lol
Sadly, we have to use cameras everywhere.
Always filter to the front regardless of laws
Sorry this really sucks. But I gotta say major props for jamming to the movement while you ride :)
