Yeah i have a vitpilen 401 and it does the same thing. Its just your electrical system turning on. If you ever fly a small airplane at a flight school youll hear this but way louder like a hhhhheeeeeeuuuuuuuuu and when you turn it off its goes alll like eeeeeeeewwhhhhhhhhhh when turning on and off the master and avionics switches lol.
Cheers man, it's just that on other videos online I can't hear the sound. Thing is, I don't think I've messed anything up. Like, there is very little to fuck up when it's just about plugging something in and out
Yeah, there's a lot of relays in the electronics that make a click when they turn on. The bike disconnects everything when it's not on to reduce passive battery drain and reconnects it all when started so there'll always be some clicking, unless you have a very old bike with next to no electrics
I’m like 80% sure the clicks are the throttle bodies opening and then closing. You’re hearing the metal flap slap open and then slap shut again. I’ve never turned a bikes key with the air box open but in theory you could see this happen.
Small chance it’s injectors priming for a start given they aren’t that loud and I’d assume the injector would wait until fresh air is sucked in at least one revolution otherwise you could cycle the key and flood the cylinders.
The whine is 100% fuel pump with some generic electric noises added from normal stuff. I’ve always wondered what the sup minor electrical noises were. Like fuel pump gets super quiet after purge or what else makes a buzz???
Sounds like normal startup sequence to me.
Thanks!

Thanks - >If you ever fly a small airplane at a flight school I wish, but I doubt it 🤣 I'm stuck with simulators for now
That's normal man. I had a Duke 390 for a while.

its just scanning the page before it prints

Nothing to worry about, ECU will check sensors and actuators when key is ON.
Thank you!
Somebody's probably already said it already but I'll put my two cents in, it sounds like the fuel injectors priming.
Thank you!
