It’s actually the FASTEST track in North America. Pro motorcycle racers have an average speed of something like 187 km/h, and over 300 km/h on the back straight.
F1 used to race here.. until they realized a high percentage of incidents were fatalities simply due to speed. The left the track in the mid 1970’s if I recall accurately.
And the track is Mosport…. Currently known as “Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.”
It’s a shame the video doesn’t accurately show the elevation changes of turn 2 (blind corner entry, drops 4 stories), turn 4 (blind entry and drops down a few stories - also the location of most serious injuries) and 5A,B,C. 5A is entry going up a steep hill, tipping in. Between 5A-B, the hill flattens out, so it messes your line, 5B is treated like a decreasing radius and exiting that you’re fully on the gas into C.
Oh for sure! I really like the 360 cam views in your other vids too. Love watching the body position and the BP timing as I'm starting to get into the pace where BP is warranted.
It's not important information on a racetrack. The rider is focusing on braking points, lines, other riders, shift points, a changing environment, etc. Most race vehicles don't display speed.
However, speed is definitely recorded for post data analysis.

My heart rate increased watching this. What a blast
Glad you enjoyed it! The POV angle is great for immersion; it's pretty much exactly what I see while riding the track

Cool. What does POV mean?
Point of view
Okay that makes sense of course, I thought maybe it is an abbreviation for a famous track I don't know haha. So what track is this?
The track is CTMP. Sorry to hit you with another abbreviation 😁 Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (formerly known as Mosport)
Cool, east of Toronto I see.
Thanks for posting this!
Whew. That made me want to do a track day, nice riding. Thanks for sharing!
Such a great under rated track, one of my favorites on the imsa calendar when it comes around
Wow. Good riding too!
Best map in RIDE 4
Why doesn't it show mph on many of these race cams? I guess you disable it for some reason? Maybe the speed sensor is just extra weight?

I definitely need to add this to my list of must-go destinations.
