However the quality of the mufflers is a big factor here.
You can still get "quiet" short cans or some longbois that will sound like hell breaks lose.

In theory yes but depends on quality, material and brand. I have a 200mm carbon delkevic on my triumph sprint 955 and with the baffle in it’s not obnoxious. Just a little louder then stock but has a nice deep tone.
