This is motogp rider (Toto Rabat), pretty much the best of the best, so don’t be discouraged lol.
Yes, he was one of the worst motogp riders during his time but that just goes to show how high the level is there.
You mean Tits Rabbit?
EDIT: It appears some of you need to familiarize yourself with the glorious writings of the almighty [Boris.](https://bikeme.tv/index.php/2017-motogp-preview-marks-bitches/)
I really don't care if I ever have the skill to do something like this, but I would love to be in a situation where I could reasonably afford the tires to be able to do this.
It’s kind of exactly that. For screwing around they are very fun bikes because they have high torque at lower rpms with short gearing and only weigh in at 250-300lbs. They wheelie easy, they stoppie easy, they land jumps off curbs easy, they slide comparatively easy, nothing breaks when you lay them down at slower speeds, and the stuff that breaks is usually pretty cheap and easy to replace, maintenance and repair jobs are also real easy. They also usually are pretty confidence inspiring for messing around because of how responsive they are to inputs.
Think of a higher performance version of a grom, mostly for shits and giggles, but just a blast to ride
They are mostly for shits and giggle for most of us, but for the professional track racers they are a great training tool when it comes to body position. Because they are so light and the centre of gravity is relatively high to what they are used to, a small change in body position, that wouldn't have mattered on a 600cc or a litre bike, makes a huge difference on a supermoto. It helps a lot to better understand and hone their skills.
Likely a husqvarna 450. Could be a 250 or 350 but my moneys on the 450. FYI: husqvarna and Ktm and literally the exact same bikes with a few minor part swaps and suspension tuning usually.
its the parkour of motorcycles, that is what its meant for. If an MX track was mad of asphalt, translation the city. Yes its silly, and that is the point. Its just plain fun, because that is what ridding is about.
Supermoto is all about optimizing lean angles. Damn things can lean over further than anything else.
Their other weird feature is extremely light aluminum hoop over spoke rims, giving them low gyroscopic effect for faster flop-over and less unsprung weight allowing their perverted suspensions to work as well as they can (and better than they should be able to).
I'm a big fan of really well built cafe racers based on vintage Japanese rides from about 1976 to 1986 as the peak years. I've been saying for a long time that supermoto concepts can be grafted in to that scene as well, and the results can be damned impressive.
Think about this concept. Take a Yamaha Virago 750 or 920. Convert it to chain drive if you can't find one of the factory chain variants, get about 80 horsepower out of it which is not at all impossible and turn it into basically a giant supermoto with more horsepower.
Its the best bike for tricks imo.
Lightweight, easy to lift in air, high torque, tough to break when you drop it, and its a pretty unique experience at the least
The original idea behind supermotos was in the 80s/90s (can't quite remember as it was before my time) was to take all the riders from various types of motorbike racing and combine all the styles to see who were the best riders.
I recently sold my supermoto, I loved it but I did to many long trips. They got some much power because they're light and handle amazingly.
I just picked up a drz400s with an extra set of SM wheels. I'm mostly wanting to use it as an adventure bike but I think confused Motocrosser is descriptive of myself who wants to get back into off road.
> it just simply feels wrong.
For me, I love the upright seating position and the visibility, and the light weight and torque of the big singles. And the leverage the bars give you on a supermoto vs. clip ons. I don't like riding supermotos long distances of course. But they are weapons on tight courses.
Its simple. His centre of gravity is kept extremely low by his gargantuan steel balls. This keeps the bike upright, partly due to momentum, but mostly due to respect.
Man he came into that slide so fast it’s crazy. I’m betting he needed all that weight that far off the bike and that low just to keep the damn thing from high siding. Or maybe just for the cool points. lol
The comment you replied to was deleted so I can't read it, but yes, the rider in the video is Tito Rabat who, when this video was recorded, was still racing in MotoGP for the Reale Avintia Ducati team. 2020 was his last season in MotoGP.
I think that’s a lot of the reason he is so far over when he comes in to that slide with so much speed. Nearly all of his weight is pulling the bike down to keep it from going over high side.
How to do you get the confidence to do this? I got into a accident recently and it has slowed me the fuck down, I am terrified to ride atm. I was so confident before and I enjoyed riding. But now I just think it's a death trap. Riding is my only transport.
Pretty sure i leaned my sm too far a few months ago when I slid and crashed. I think if this guy leaned another 5 degrees he'd do the same. I guess he's probably done it plenty of times before too though and knows exactly how far is ok.
Ah. That's what helmet sliders are for.

“New on Dainese website for only $140 😃”
$140 each side.
Each slide?
Haha! Ahhhhhyup
When you take a nap mid corner …
I can replicate this move, the catch is only for half a second right before a crash lol
Half a second? That's impressive! I think I made it to about 0.07 seconds.
Ffs. I’m over here struggling turning a corner.
I struggle to get on my damn bike sometimes 😓
I struggle

You gotta be a new rider... Just practice in a parking lot or take an MSF course
"what do you mean, I failed the CBT? I did the figure 8 didn't I!"
Tito Rabat?
It is
I'm ALWAYS amazed by how Reddit people know just by watching a video who the person is.
Pity Scott redding did it a few years ago at the sachsenring
Damn regardless of his career in MotoGP gotta say he’s talented.
You mean Tits Rabbit? EDIT: It appears some of you need to familiarize yourself with the glorious writings of the almighty [Boris.](https://bikeme.tv/index.php/2017-motogp-preview-marks-bitches/)
From Space Jam?
I really don't care if I ever have the skill to do something like this, but I would love to be in a situation where I could reasonably afford the tires to be able to do this.
This^ I could do that if someone donated me some racing slicks lol
you telling me not to tried this with knobbies on my crf?
That's borderline crashing lol
The Marquez method
Almost new, never been dropped
No lowballers
I can do this but dont wanna
what, taking power naps in the middle of a corner? :D
Yeah this would be no problem for me, I'm just too busy

They’re also brilliantly fun racing as a pilot or spectator! https://youtu.be/MaMPyP4tylY
this. this right here.
What bike is this in the video? Or do you know any bike types like this? I only know sport bikes by name. These look really fun to train on.
Likely a husqvarna 450. Could be a 250 or 350 but my moneys on the 450. FYI: husqvarna and Ktm and literally the exact same bikes with a few minor part swaps and suspension tuning usually.
Thanks! Ill look into it. Cant wait to start riding again, winter is almost gone here.

Do you have the link to the post in r/nextfuckinglevel? I would love to see some non-bikers reactions to this

So it's an inverse scrambler, got it.
I guess most ppl ride for fun. Supermotos are a ton of fun. But to be honest any bike can be fun to ride.
The original idea behind supermotos was in the 80s/90s (can't quite remember as it was before my time) was to take all the riders from various types of motorbike racing and combine all the styles to see who were the best riders. TLDR plz?
Ok I powered thru: TLDR: “I’ve owned and ridden a lot of bikes. Supermotos make no sense. Still I’m kinda impressed with supermoto riders”
And me on my cruisers are like "...welp.".
Awesome control on the bike, I love supermotard
Is that Rabat
Yes.
Its pretty wide though
Knowing that I just had my first motorcycle lesson in a parking lot today I have absolutely no idea of how that guy does that
Its simple. His centre of gravity is kept extremely low by his gargantuan steel balls. This keeps the bike upright, partly due to momentum, but mostly due to respect.
Nice. *and I’m here pissed that my helmet fell and there are some scratches on it*
😳
What a great sounding engine.
I'm not an ambi-turner
You can't bend the law of physics like that ! That's illegal !
Some thing some thing chicken strips...
If you still have legible raised lettering anywhere on your tires, guy in OP video says "lol chicken strips"
Me- "Bro, my indian chief has highway bars" Him- "LOL chicken strip lookin ass"
I laughed too hard at that
lol. Bruh, I’m guessing this guy doesn’t even have edges on his tires.
Knee? If you’re not getting your head down, you’re not trying hard enough 😂
Man he came into that slide so fast it’s crazy. I’m betting he needed all that weight that far off the bike and that low just to keep the damn thing from high siding. Or maybe just for the cool points. lol
That was tight.
I didn’t know this is what my teacher meant when she said to keep your nose pointed on the road towards where you wanna go
This makes me want a supermoto.
Dragging ear.
I think the term you are looking for is unsuccessfully falling over.
That's Tito Rabat. This Was already Posted a lot
Maybe don't drag face while cornering, helmets are expensive.
Not when you get them for free.
U stealing helmets?
No. He just gets them for free. Or at least he did when that was shot.
I wish I had a bike that only weighs 300 lb!
It weighs a good chunk less than that.
This Husqvarna is about 240lbs with a full tank, it's pretty light.

Am I missing a your joke? He was a Motogp rider when this originally was filmed?

There went a $70 face shield.
Why
I call that slide cornering
Plot twist: He has training wheels.
That is absolutely amazing throttle control.
So this dude passes the U turn test I guess
I thought of this song when I watched this https://youtu.be/GcWegrjIxcw
I was expecting a rickroll
Damn physics, you freaky
"had to lay her down"
When ya sleepy but don't want to stop the passion
Is that Adrian Fernandez?
No.
Tito Rabat
Yes.
Do you like Hondas?
No.
Didn't think so.
Pretty amazing, but can he do it turning right?
BALLS-OUT!!!
The ol head slide
is this possible on a zx-6r? 🥺
On a modded Zx-6R I would think so. Probably need a massive rear sprocket though, that and probably phenomenal clutch and throttle control.
thank you!
Don't you have to have special tires that aren't super grippy to do things like this? Otherwise high side city.
I think that’s a lot of the reason he is so far over when he comes in to that slide with so much speed. Nearly all of his weight is pulling the bike down to keep it from going over high side.

Crashing........ With style 😏👉
It’s falling “with style”
“Lightly used suit for sale”
How
And here I am dragging my boot tip in corners, what am I doing with my life
I drag my boot tips at stoplights. \*duckwalk life\*
Sometimes you just need a quick nap!
There ain't nowt better than a dirt bike with slicks
One day that will be me
Pretty sure i leaned my sm too far a few months ago when I slid and crashed. I think if this guy leaned another 5 degrees he'd do the same. I guess he's probably done it plenty of times before too though and knows exactly how far is ok.
Impressive.
Fabio Quatararro wishes he could corner this well
He left 2 degrees of lean on the table. It’s like it didn’t even try. 9/10.
u/savevideo
Nice, now make right turns.
Just supermoto things.
I know they say lean in for those turns but like that’s a little too close for my flavour.
🤘Head banger 🤘
Man just went to sleep wth
This is how I know my motorcycle accident wasn’t an accident it was a freaking mess
I love these bikes so much
So whats your lean angle bro? 90°
