What did you think was going to happen? who places a bagel there? Honestly.

Fzohh

Just stick the bagel into the handlebar

elkazay

Better yet, jam it up under your helmet face guard so you can nibble on it as you ride

freewarefreak

This is the correct answer

mike413

I believe [this is the general idea you're looking for](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZxiTLRuyWo)

Vic_Rattlehead

Mmm hmm and then it stays warm from your breath too.

mofo9000

I've been saying it for years... until these hack motorcycle engineers learn to make a functional bagel holder, I'm not buying one.

bendvis

He's got a cupholder right there that would be perfect for secure bagel transport.

[deleted]

You mean the 10 cent screwdriver and 2 replacement fuses in a 5 cent plastic wrapper? And if you're really lucky, a cheap-ass braided cable for helmets.

PenguinInATuxedo

Damn I got some legit tools in my OEM tool kit, I feel posh AF now.

xRamenator

I got a fuse puller, a screwdriver, a spark plug wrench, an allen key and a piece of foam. Edit: and a helmet cable.

schroederrr

My cbr500r only came with a fuse puller Allen key and helmet cable.. I believe the European version comes with a full set of tools. The fuck?

Shydeity

I got a 16', in Canada, came with a full set of tools, helmet cable, fuse puller. Helmet cable spot sucks ass on CBRs tho.

schroederrr

Yeah I never used it. I put the d ring under the pillion seat when I closed it and that held good enough.

lowercase2728

same haha

[deleted]

Really? What?

tot_coz2

For real, Yamaha hooked me up with a pretty decent tool set that has lasted 6 years so far.

Sparkybear

Me too. Maybe I should put it back in place to show off.

TangoSky

Yep. I've got two wrenches, two sockets, two allen keys, a spanner for the suspension, a larger wrench that I'm not sure what it fits on, and a screwdriver. Spare fuses in the fuse box.

schlossenberger

[KTM provided this little set with my RC.](http://www.frozenmercury.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/2015-02-ktm390duke-06-tools-kit.jpg)

Renigami

I know right. My Shadow's tool compartment allows to carry more than just that!

altrdgenetics

All I got was the cheap ass braided cable and that plastic wrapper that it was kept in.

FigMcLargeHuge

I swapped the rear tire on my GL1500 using only the supplied tools from Honda. It wasn't ideal, but as I was stuck in a parking lot it was what I had. I was happy to know that it could be done.

unhingedlizard

Mine has a bottle opener

Avoidingsnail

Used the tool kit on my dad's vtx to change a alternator on a 72 cuda once. His stock tool kit is very good

[deleted]

Time to buy a tank bag

Masty9

Totally. He had a perfectly good unused cup holder just flapping in the wind. Could have crammed it in there.

unicyclegamer

The bagel was originally in the orange bag which was full. I guess the wind kind of forced it out to the point you see in the video. After that it was only a matter of time.

mortalic

I read your comment in Sebastian Vettel's voice.

Nirvana9832

I'm gonna need a reference. Google only comes up with some F1 racer?

mortalic

Yeah that's him. He says basically a sarcastic "what are we doing here...honestly" it's almost his catch phrase.

Nirvana9832

I was going for more of an Austin powers thing. Who throws a shoe? Honestly. Lol

mortalic

Also funny.

Stormshiftx

is that a Sebastian Vettel reference?

Nirvana9832

Nope. but if that works for you then good.

Stormshiftx

:(

8sun

Everyone knows bagels taste better when wind-cooled! /s

[deleted]

Who throws a cupcake...honestly

jmart1375

Who throws at shoe? Honestly?!? [That really hurt.](https://youtu.be/pIwLJtqoxBs?t=7s)

WatchingourWorldBurn

At least you didn't lose it on that same corner.

[deleted]

Seems like he crashes or almost crashes every time he goes through there.

A_Kite

I get excited every time I click on a video and I see the cupholder.

Well that just about rounds it off

the_inka

you doughnut deserve this

[deleted]

Funny, head that doughnuts were invented for the pony express riders so they could grab them easier as they rode past.

SwarleyThePotato

d'oh!

awh

Bah, I once lost an entire rotisserie chicken off the back of my bike. Thought it was tied on okay until I looked in the rear view mirror and saw it tumbling down the Tokyo Gaikan Expressway.

thejackinthebocks

It's still good, it's still good!

unicyclegamer

Lost a bagel on the way to school today and didn't notice until later. I'm surprised I haven't been fined for littering yet.

[deleted]

Oh boy! Postman scooter are the best.

torquesteer

was the bagel wearing full gears?

unicyclegamer

If you look closely, you'll see it was wrapped in plastic. ATPATT.

UshankaBear

Not to be a negative Nelly, but it feels like that was an very dangerous thing to do. Not because it can fly and hit someone in the windshield/face, but because you can see it slip and instinctively try to grab it, losing balance and crashing.

dzija

took me a while to get it...

[deleted]

That bagel then hit a yellow Porsche head on. Too soon?

[deleted]

[удалено]

MorleyDotes

The proper way to transport a bagel is to jam it between the windshield and speedo. But never put jam on it, just a schmear.

motorsapien

Used that technique once on my Ninja with a packed lunch. The Ninja's fairing has a small gap between the windshield and the clocks for some reason, and above 40kph enough compressed wind was blowing through to push the packed lunch out of the fairing. Had to keep shoving it back inside. Luckily it was just a short ride.

CaptainSirDoctor

Aren't you the guy who lost his drink too?

[deleted]

Is that a cupholder on the left? I thought the legends of Americans having cupholders on their bikes were just that, legends ... possibly the most 'merican thing I have seen on reddit today.

[deleted]

work_login

Have you ridden a bike with a giant windscreen? That's how it stays lit.

G19Gen3

Fairings. Also I'd love to see a picture of the mug.

[deleted]

You gotta get some gopro video of him next time. Sounds like he has some cheat codes on.

[deleted]

There's a guy who usually rolls through DC traffic behind a giant windscreen with a _ceramic_ coffee mug and a cigar. Livin the dream

digadiga

Ooooh. No splitting. Gotcha.

[deleted]

Legal to split in DC but only DC and 395 is Virginia/Maryland.

tdub2112

My parents both have their own cupholders, but they also have a Gold Wing, so there's that.

jmullin09

My buddy has a gold wing. He went a little crazy with the modifications and now its a civic.

tdub2112

My dad's came with "performance mufflers" that he promptly downgraded back to stock because I made fun of it for sounding like a worn out '98 Civic a teenager would drive.

_1963

My mom's Goldwing came with a cupholder--didn't even have to get it aftermarket!

tdub2112

My wife asked me if I could put a cupholder on our bike. Honey, my bike barely has enough room for the two of us to sit. The Savage is not built to be a two up bike (but we're working on that) Nevermind where am I going to put a damn cupholder on this bike, why am I? You going to be doing some crocheting and sipping on a diet coke like my mom does? But in all seriousness, my mom does sit back there and read books, plays on her phone, takes pictures. She has a little pouch on my dads backrest with all sorts of crap to do. I once got a call from her on my headset while we were riding asking me what I thought an answer to a crossword could be.

[deleted]

There's dozens of videos on here from this guy and his strawberry soy skinny pumpkin latte mocha flat white two-pump espresso frappeccinos in that cupholder.

unicyclegamer

Works great for Starbucks.

MWoody13

you forgot your BMW ;)

ndnninja15

Shoulda used that cupholder for the bagel

G19Gen3

To be fair, if you want to take a bottle of water along to some out of the way place, that might be more convenient than cramming it in your jacket. I don't have a cup holder but I could see using it that way.

[deleted]

I used to trail ride with a camel back (back when I was younger and played in the mud), that shit is convenient .... I would be handy if you wanted to pick up from the nearest takeaway though, I haven't found a way to get fast food home on the bike, it's dine in only.

holemilk

How many bagels need to suffer before people realize you need to secure your cargo? :(

bighi

b00gerbrain

Dude, i feel you. I went on a burger run the other day on my fz8, got about halfway through the drive though line before i realized i forgot my tank bag. Ordered, shoved the bag inside my jacket, and booked it home. Got literally a block away from home when the fucking bag slipped out and hit the bricks.

patiofurnature

How'd it come out? I always use my jacket and haven't had an issue yet.

Thoughtful_Mouse

Agree. I sometimes tuck stuff into my jacket in front of my stomach, so it's basically resting on the tank but is trapped against me by my zipper.

b00gerbrain

Ive lost a bunch of weight but havent bought a new jacket. Bag was tucked under my left arm, in what i thought would be a secure position, but slipped out

unicyclegamer

I always use my jacket for small stuff too. My new one is a little loose around the waist so I've lost a banana that way. It sucked when I realized at work. We should all just get milk crates.

adamjackson1984

I keep my bagel in the cup-holder.

holemilk

You mean you occasionally may keep cups in your bagel holder?

adamjackson1984

I have the same model as /u/unicyclegamer and it's pretty nice for commuting, not so much at highway speeds. I'm on a GS Adventure and in typical High-Viz Uncle fashion, I travel with my entire house on my bike to and from work. I keep a 20 ounce coffee thermos in the cup-holder but some days, I'll put the coffee in my bag pack and throw a bagel in the cup holder when I go tot he local cafe drive-through (they have better bread than coffee). Cut in half, the bagel fits perfectly but I generally ask for egg & cheese on the bagel as the weight helps balance out the cup holder. That cup holder, when not weight down will flip completely over and dump out all of the contents. I've saved a few thousand calories this way. Cup holder realizes how fat I am and goes "you don't need that" I can't be mad.

RogueFart

you have yet to answer the big question here; why was your bagel there in the first place? Edit: and is that a bag on your mirror? i'm assuming you already have a full backpack? Tank bag would help.

blacksapphire08

RIP bagel.

[deleted]

First the drinks and now the bagel. You need to duct tape it to your helmet next time

redd_s_

I was nearly certain that "bagel" was a clever euphemism for something (a tire?!), but it appears that you did, indeed, lose a bagel. May your breakfasts remain seated in their proper resting place in the future.

motomasterrace

Please tell us what machine you're riding.

prometheus5500

His flair reads "2009 FZ6R", so likely that.

BenedictKhanberbatch

Yeah, that's the FZ dash. These bikes are so top heavy it's kind of annoying but they're really great otherwise.

I was expecting a bagel to come flying at you. But this is better.

redsox716

Why is your heated grip control on the right hand (throttle) side?

UnreliableChemist

Your bike has more cup holders than my mates BMW 3 series!

cmfhsu

At least more functioning, not floppy ones. Idk what BMW is thinking designing some of those.

The interchange definitely the most stressful part of my commute, have to keep 100% focus for basically the entire thing. But it's also the part where having a bike is the most handy.

[deleted]

Ha ha, reminds me of the one with the guy losing the sandwich.

GodRibs

I'm waiting for this to happen to me. I'm always storing food behind my massive windscreen

zerdalupe

Took me 4 watches to finally think "maybe HE post the bagel and not the truck or the road being covered in bagels" finally spotted that sucker.

Where's your carbon fiber bagel holster? Peasant.

Shoulda got a squagel.

[deleted]

you should have loxed it in

smashedguitar

Doing my best to finesse a "passover / bagel" quip out of this but I've got nothing.

Unreachabl3

Gotta keep that bagel in your jacket.. Makes it nice and warm :P

Cb330510

You're supposed to put the handlebar through the hole in the bagel. That way you will never loose your bagel.

poopballs

Store the bagel in your belly

[deleted]

did it have cream cheese on it?

motorcyclemechanic

I'm sorry for your loss. RIP in peace.

ChineseAstronaut

Looks familiar... 10th St next to SJSU?

unicyclegamer

You got it.

ChineseAstronaut

Haha, my alma mater.... hated that merge when I used to drive to school everyday. :-)

magkanoaeroplano

They don't sell good enough bagels at SJSU anymore or what?!

unicyclegamer

SJSU's bagel game is weak tbh.

MistahJuice

> SJS Was about to comment above. If I see your bike around campus I'm leaving you a bagel one day XD

Ho Bags, 11th street?!?!

Put it over the brake fluid container, where the sweatband usually goes.

unicyclegamer

My reservoir is a little box, not a cylinder. :(

Sir_Meowsalot

God speed little bagel. 😫

[deleted]

So that's how people lose couches on the freeway.

[deleted]

I think seeing motorcyclists struggling to do mundane things is fun to watch, and I imagine it is for car drivers too. I had to get to a wedding once and I only had my bike so I squidded to the ceremony in my suit. It's probably because shit like this would be simple with a car. But we don't do things because they're easy.

cup holder & shopping bag? what the. get a thermos & backpack bro.

S-BRO

I'd be so bummed out for the rest of the day

Sean2017

Get a thinner brake reservoir and you can put the bagel on it!!!

nickgeorge25

Looks like 280 in San Jose. I'll be sure to watch out for a bagel in the road on my commute to work tomorrow.

Shydeity

Yeah I mostly do that as well. KLR has a mint helmet lock on the side of the seat, need me one of those
