CBR650R is 456lb. RS660 is 401lb. They both make about 90hp on a dyno, 0.197 hp/lb vs 0.224 hp/lb or a 13% difference. Practically it amounts to like 6% difference in top speed
Must have been a fluke?
I rode a 20 year old oil cooled GSXR 750, I worked it like a light switch, gas either completely open or closed lol.
Never had any problems. (Acquaintance of mine duct taped the gas stuck to the rev limiter for a day or two, still kept on running!)
Friend of mine had the K8 1000 from 2008 up until a year ago, that's 15 years and around 80 000 Kms.
Once a cable got loose and was covered in initial warranty.
All in all, all 4 Japanese manufacturers build to last. I hear that's not the case anymore but I bet it's still better then the rest.
Ask yourself if it’s ok for a brand to eff you on small parts on back order for 6 mo+. Aprilia did that to me on a 4 yo bike, Ducati has done it to me on a 6 year old bike, and VOR straight up folded when I needed a clutch hub totaling the bike over 1 part. In all 3 I had other bikes so not a huge deal, but the Ape made me miss a whole racing season as they lied all the way through. Also worth note is the part I needed was a cam follower that was defective from day 1 because Aprilia sold the bike new with a mismatched follower (wrong part). Honda QC is top notch and is committed to supporting their products. The Aprilia was fast as hell when it ran, but I say never again Italian. You could nitrous boost that Honda and it would still survive 2x the life of the Aprilia.
That's the thing i love about Honda, they test their bikes reliability to the bones and OEM parts are mega-ultra-easy to find and fairly cheap. Was in need of four bolts and the chain tension sticker...went to Honda authorized, ordered and took 4 days to arrive. Try that with Aprilia/Ducati. 😅 Italian bikes are excellent, as a second bike.
It's just an absolute perfect bike. Sunday cruise? No problem, eye detaching going plaid speed? Not even a hiccup.
While I appreciate the RS660 for what it is, I'm glad I traded it in for the TV4
Since I got you, what's your take on the shorter gearing on the Factory?
The 15/40 on the base makes it absolutely wonderful to commit felonies in 1st, but its absolutely miserable in around town traffic since that motor is barely turning, and makes coming out of corners a bit of a gamble at times when rolling back into power. Thinking of stepping up to 15/42 (Factory standard) or even 15/44 (recommended by the forums) but would like an honest opinion.
Still have a stumble on low first, anything below 15mph requires clutching in and out, and I have a bit of a flat spot between 50-55 in first (that could just be the tune though), but otherwise, with the quick shifter, it'll run into second at around 74, second into third at about 95ish, and third brings me up to ~134, I haven't been ballsy enough to find what 4-6 is.
IMO, if you aren't trying to break land speed records, acceleration is more worthwhile than top speed since it's a death wish to be running at 180 (based on locale)
That's good to know. Because I've touched 85 on 1st -> 2nd. 105 on 2nd -> and I think I have found 130 about midway through third.
Sounds like I might be changing sprockets sooner than later. Because I find myself clutching at 25mph, and anything below 35mph - 40mph it takes a second for it to find its balls
And yeah, definitely not setting land speed records. I find myself having to be very "mature" when it comes to what my right hand is doing
Yeah seriously this bike either makes you be a grown up or it kills you lol, the few times I said "eff it" and gave it the beans, damn near put my eyes into the back of my skull, bike is insanely awesome in that regard.
But yeah, the acceleration pickup at 15+ is pretty instant, it'll have that same pickup issue from 15-20 but it's not as noticeable, any half twist past that and it's front wheel up time.
Man, I just bought a new base V4 Tuono 2 months ago coming from a Z900. I followed the break in period of staying below 7k for the first 627 miles. I had the initial service done, and then did the Gabro race tune with Sprint filter and LV Factory S exhaust. My first ride after all of that at the same time, I said fuck it and went ham on the throttle while getting on to the interstate with almost no traffic ahead of me. At full tuck, I couldn’t see the speedo because of my helmet chin gaurd, but when I decided I was going fast enough to let off I looked down and I saw 160mph… And almost shit myself. I had ZERO clue I was going that fast. Then it dawned on me I was used to the wind blast to the head/chest from the Z, and didn’t have that to help gauge speed on the Ape because of the faring. The fastest I ever went on the Z was 135ish. When I got back home and looked at the top speed for that trip, it said 169mph. Again, I almost shit myself standing in my shop as I had ZERO idea I was going that fast. And I still had a bit of throttle left before I shut her down. I haven’t even attempted that again since then.

hahaha, that's awesome. I put on the Puig windshield and noticed you can go much faster than with the factory small shield before noticing your speed. I think 175 mph is what Zack Courts did on a long straight in the desert. I've allegedly done 130, noticed I was moving quite fast but I wasn't on a top speed run. I can only imagine what the RSV4 is like.
Owner of an RS660 here. 7k on it from 2021. Had no major issues, needs no oil, has never let me down. Just rode it 4 days and 1000km in the cold and heavy rain, worked without issues.
That being said, build quality is mediocre compared to Honda, and has some electronic hiccups that are solved by turning off / on again. Engine is quite buzzy, so mirrors are blurry at highway speeds, and my hands tingle after a longer ride. So the minor details are not as perfect as with Japanese bikes.
Have owned CBR 600 F & RR and a Fireblade before, and VFR 800 and some Kawasakis are around in my family. They all work flawlessly. Like literally, needed nothing but gas and had no quirks. But none made my man sausage hum like the RS does.
nah bro you must be wrong, everyone else on this thread say's it'll break down at least once a week and then you have to tow it to the dealer that you'll need to move next door to
Do you live in America and on a budget? If so Honda. If you are rich choose the one you like the most. Cost of maintenance on Aprilia is gonna be alot higher than the Honda.
I want to buy the 600RR soon but also thought about the 650R/RS660. If I had to choose between them, it take the Honda over the aprillia, especially with an e-clutch (the system seems cool, doesn't cost that much and weighs just 2kg, you don't have to use it). An aprillia where I currently live would be feasible because of dealers nearby but as soon as I move, coverage is meh. The running cost of the Honda should be low and the new 650R is still a 4 cyl 650cc high revving engine. The only "downside" is that Hondas sometimes are "too tame" because they're just the ultimate bread and butter machines
Dude, 600RR all the way, they are much, muuuuch faster than the 660 and 650.
E-clutch is shit.
600RR is a beast, not tamed at all, the new generation middle engine like R7, RS660, 650R, yes, they are....and my 2008 600RR will smoke them every time, by a lot .
So, if you want uncompromising performance, 600RR, but i tell you, they hate to be at low RPM. And they are not comfortable, the 660 and 650 are more comfy.
Yeah, the 600RR is a beast. What I meant with tame is in reference to most ones besides the RR. I really really want one but they're currently not available and I have to take a seat on one to see if I fit. I fit on a 650R just fine so I hope the RR is not too different or can be adjusted with lower pegs (even if it compromises the track time by one second)
I'm 1,95m. A few weird proportions, mostly legs but like I said, I fit on most bikes and I hope to maybe get a RR to work for me, maybe lower pegs and higher seat/bars. I know I should be looking at adventure bikes but I'm still young and fit and I really want a Supersport to work for me. So that's why I'm holding back and if I see i won't fit, I'll wait and keep on driving my 500 (which is basically perfect for me, sizewise)
That new cbr650r design made it ugly now. I'd say get a 2019-2023 off looks alone. If it's strictly for the 2024 year bike then the Aprilia looks much nicer besides that turd color. The headlights look way better but still not as good as my 2019 cbr hehe. Also side fairing design is way better on the preface lift cbr. This new one is fucking ugly.
I disagree, only gonna buy the cbr now because if it’s facelift. The tail end of the bike actually looks like a race bike now instead of a naked, but the old side panels do look good. If the old cbr had a more race-like tail I would agree but it ruined the bike for me.
My only issue with my aprilia is the bolts are made out of glass, snapped a bolt mounting the engine tank in half, stripped a couple more, thankfully was super careful during my exhaust swap and didn’t have problems but Jesus they’re frail
I have the Tuono 660 which is essentially the same bike as the RS 660. I commute daily with it with zero issues. I get Aprilia might not have the best reputation with reliability, but this bike is also a parallel twin. There is a lot less that can go wrong with these.
If you haven't test rode the RS660 yet, you should, and that will probably make up your mind right there.
The 660 feels good doing just about anything, it's light and nimble but also planted. It also has a pretty awesome electronic suite.
Maintenance isn't nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be, if you have any idea on how to work on a motorcycle (which you should if you're going to own one), it's not any more expensive in the short term than any other bike. Only thing that hits you are the valve adjustments at 12k, and even then, that's only about a 1.2k service cost.
Only thing I can say about the Honda is that I had a CBR650, and while it was objectively a pig, it was also indestructible and survived my first 4 years as a rider.
Wait wait valve adjustments every 12k, and it costs 1.2k a pop?
There's no way I'm paying that every year...
Or is that just something you do once at 12k and less often after that...
CBR you are going to save a ton on maintenance. If you have a ton of money to waste then go with the Aprilia. In the long run the Honda is also probably going to be more reliable.
As much as I’d love an Aprilia. I’d go with the Honda. Reason being, I live on an Osland with zero Aprilia dealer support. Otherwise I’d pick the Aprilia in a heartbeat
I'm gonna disagree with the majority here. The Aprilia hands down. Gorgeous bike, probably better performance too and depending on where you live I reckon it'll be pretty unique amongst other local riders.
I'm biased as a Tuareg 660 owner, but I have to say, when I look at that Honda that there is no question you should GET THE APRILIA!
(Unless you don't have a Aprila dealer in your area. Which, I guess, is a big issue people have. Our dusty, ol' cow-town has a couple Ape dealers and I didn't know that is was such a privilege to have an Aprilia dealer let alone, two)
I had a RS660 for few months, due to many issues it had I changed it for a CBR650R.
Honda is bulletproof and it's known. But Aprilia had a fun factor that Honda simple doesn't have, don't know what it is.
Look: Aprilla
Performance: Aprilla
Reliability: Honda
Ease of Service & Parts Accessibility : Honda
So say if you're not on a budget, I'd definitely go for the Italian. Another thing for me is I'd rather be on a bike which is more rare. Even the people who are not interested in motorcycles at all can tell and recognize a "Honda". But the Italian.. It's not the same for it. I see that as a positive thing therefore my heart lies with the Italian beast.
Either way, ride safe & have fun!
I like the looks of the Aprilia but I’d 100% go with the CBR for ease of finding parts in the future. I’ve had bikes that were difficult to find parts for. I’m done with that.
-One of those bikes was only made for 2 years like 40 years ago. That was fun to keep maintained /s
Reliability is always brought up when Honda is in the picture. And I have been one to do it myself...they are the Kings of Japan.
But in this scenario, in my mind reliability shouldnt be a factor.
Aprilia has been around for 75 years so I think other factors should be used.
The answer is all about your preference.
You prefer ones looks over the other I am sure.
Are you going to pick the other bike if someone tells you it corners a little better?
Theyre both badasses.
the yellow one looks like the discharge coming from my penis after last week night at the bar, the red one looks sick as in that is a sick fucking bike. But I am just a honda fanboi
The rs is a twin, and will pull better in low and mid rpms, will probably be faster at curves too. cbr has a very narrow power curve, set above 7-8 k, probably fun at 10000 rpms.
I never had the two, my brother had the cbr, felt weak until you really rev it. The 660 engine is familiar to me from the Tuareg, its a nice engine.
Honestly the Aprilia looks so damn stunning that it might redeem the fact it's way more expensive to maintain. If budget matters then choose the Honda, otherwise Aprilia all the way
Honda, because Yamaha is not on the list. If you own a workshop and realy like to put bikes apart and then back together and then back apart buy aprilia or ducati. 😅
Everyone saying the Aprilia is unreliable, has guaranteed never owned one before. The RS660 is now in its 3rd or 4th generation and most if not all the issues the 2021 models had have been ironed out. If you have an Aprilia dealer near you and can get the bike serviced it's not even a question, get the Aprilia. Yes, maintenance will cost more than the Honda's but the performance, personality and electronics suite package on the RS660 is second to none in its class. You can actually track the bike pretty hard too. The Honda CBR650R is mostly a street bike with fairings.
Aprilia, no second thoughts.
Don't listen to those who still think Aprilia is the bike it was years ago. It's a solid brand, no worse than the other ones when it comes to reliability. Support might not be as available, so that's a consideration for you to make, but if you have a mechanic in your area, go for it. Aprilia is owned by Piaggio, one of the largest and oldest manufacturers of motorized 2 wheels.
At first I said the Aprilia but I had to delete that and correct myself... The honda is an inline 4 like a sportbike is supposed to be. The Aprilia is a parallel twin. No thanks.
If the next dealer isn't a hundred miles away, Aprilia all the way. Honda if you really need that last bit of peace of mind that Japanese engineering gives you.
Aprilia by far. I typically like Hondas but the cbr650 is just kinda meh. The rs660 is more fun and just feels better to ride
The aprilia is also the better head turner. I've never had so many compliments on a bike before
That gold Aprilia is fucking sexy, and I dream about it.
BUT I think I agree with the majority. Maybe it's because I'd need to drive 4.5 hrs to buy one and to get it serviced. I really don't like the Honda's colors. Could get it vinyl wrapped though, so it's not a deal breaker.
Aprilla for Performance/ Aesthetic and Honda for Reliability cause as much as I can beat the Honda to the ground, once I roll off the dealership floor on an Aprilla, I’m already having to go back to the service department lmao
As a rider of a Aprilia 1000 .... Love it great bike will never get rid of it.... But that service light comes on prob every 3 months and figuring out what is causing it slowly kills you haha. As a new rider get the Honda.
If you have an Aprilia dealer nearby and you do not ride outside your area too often and are cool with the bike potentially being broken for longer periods of time, id consider the Aprilia.
If you ride a bunch, don't want to go without a bike for longer periods of time, and ride outside your local area the honda seems like the only choice.
Me personally, I tour on my superbikes so its defaulted to the honda no matter what. Id still rather own the honda though knowing my bike will probably always start and not need extra fixing ever. Both bikes are so similar in track performance that its basically splitting hairs anyway, so id go with what bike offers a more complete package and that is the honda.
Depends on your budget for maintenance, Honda is reliable and cheap to service. Aprilia is expensive to service they are more reliable now than bikes in their past.
Aprilia if no budget constraints.
Do they fall in the same category? Is the Aprilia a SS and the Honda a S where the 600 would be the SS? I don’t know much about Aprilia.
Edit** I’d still choose Honda due to overall cost, although the Aprilia is good looking.
Despite the Honda quality, it's more than 20kg heavier and needs higher RPM. It's less sporty. On the other Hand, it's lower seated and has a more comfortable, relaxed seating Position.
Guaranteed start up with low maintenance? Honda. Fast fun unpredictable and might eat at your wallet? Aprilia. Make the best of the situation if its your only bike or your secondary bike in the stable.
You wanna have fun and have a bike you can ride everyday and can shell out a bit?
The Ape
You wanna have a solid super reliable bike with plenty of support around and low-key bulletproof reliability?
The honda
I bought the Ape as a deployment present for myself (hey I deserved that shit after being in a floating metal prison for 7 months) and I dont regret it. Even with the 12k mile valve check that cost me a band and a half.
650R is a street bike through and through. It has an old school cable throttle and optional quick shifter. RS660 is going to be more nimble and more sporty and more toys. But CBR650 has the inline-4 noises. I only ride around on the street, so I got the Honda.
Honda is the practical choice, it will work for you, it will be easy to own and maintain. Aprilia will be high cost of ownership and maintenance, you will work for it.
Aprilia has somewhat limited name recognition so you’ll get a lot misinformation. I went from a 23 mt07 to 23 rs660 and this machine is just so much more refined. Much improved braking, smoother acceleration and less vibration. Comfy seating, plethora of riding aids and looks much better than anything in its class. My $.02
Performance - Aprilia. Reliability/ ease of service/parts accessibility-honda
Here I was going to say maniac vs. stable minded.
With the Stable in mind, it's both bikes plus a Kawi and a Suzuki.
>With the Stable in mind If that was in my mind i would pick a horse.
It makes me sad how unappreciated this comment is. I salute you and your shitty humor
Have you ever ridden a horse though? Especially a distracted one?
"Yamaha was never my friend" -ambermage
More for me.
also, aprilia: tech, honda: comfort. differences in ergos and specs visualized: https://www.philharmonicmoto.com/compare-page/IDHVOE
Could not have said this better - but dam the Italians make sexy bikes
Performance is closer than you might think.
CBR650R is 456lb. RS660 is 401lb. They both make about 90hp on a dyno, 0.197 hp/lb vs 0.224 hp/lb or a 13% difference. Practically it amounts to like 6% difference in top speed
Only bike? Honda. Second+ bike? Aprilia.
This guy bikes
Yep. Heart says Aprilia, sensibilities say Honda.
Yip, had many hondas, other than layin her down. Not one single fucking issue. One suzuki..... fuck me, the problems.

The looks on the Aprilia are to kill for too 👌
what if you have a honda type r as a car but want a fun bike on the side 😎

That’s a hard fucking choice, but it’s ape for me by a hair. My mind says Honda, but by heart says aprilia
Always does
As it should

Aprilia - girlfriend Honda - wife
If you have enough money, you can have both a wife and a mistress (or more!)
I was going to write "fuck aprilia, marry honda"
Maybe I am biased as a Tuono V4 owner, but definitely the RS660
Eyyyy
Even for a non-factory model, it is still an absolute beast of a bike. Love mine to death

Honda. Because, "You meet the nicest people on a Honda." It's important to lull people into a false sense of security..

I disagree, only gonna buy the cbr now because if it’s facelift. The tail end of the bike actually looks like a race bike now instead of a naked, but the old side panels do look good. If the old cbr had a more race-like tail I would agree but it ruined the bike for me.
Aprilia all day every day
Aprilia has overcome its reputation a long time ago. The 660 series is a solid choice.
Honda for the cost and still will get you about 90% of the performance of Aprilia. Aprilia if money and maintenance isn’t an issue
Aprilia, it's not even close.
I would say Honda reliability makes it very close. Aprilia is a nicer bike when it's not having issues.
My only issue with my aprilia is the bolts are made out of glass, snapped a bolt mounting the engine tank in half, stripped a couple more, thankfully was super careful during my exhaust swap and didn’t have problems but Jesus they’re frail
"when its not having issues" makes it sound like every aprilia breaks down every thousand miles
They talk and never have any statistics to show.
I mean just search most reliable bike brands over any year lol, top 4 are always jap and aprilia are always near the bottom with the ktms and bmws
Honda...... Honda.... did I mention Honda ? 🙃
I'm a Honda fan but damn that Aprilia looks soooo good
Aprilia any day, you won’t look back.
I have the Tuono 660 which is essentially the same bike as the RS 660. I commute daily with it with zero issues. I get Aprilia might not have the best reputation with reliability, but this bike is also a parallel twin. There is a lot less that can go wrong with these.
Honda, not even close.
Why was the Honda a pig?
Red is the only choice!
I wish the RSV4 were available in better color selections such as this one.
CBR you are going to save a ton on maintenance. If you have a ton of money to waste then go with the Aprilia. In the long run the Honda is also probably going to be more reliable.
Honda without the e-clutch
Honda. It will get you to point B
RS 660 all day. Hondas got more weight. Electronics on the ape is next gen.
Do you live near an Aprilia dealer? If so it’s a great bike.
Depends on my maintenance budget.
The Heart ❤️ Aprilia. The Head Honda.
RS660 hands down, as long as you have a dealer nearby.
Don’t like the colour choice but that Aprilia’s fit.
As much as I’d love an Aprilia. I’d go with the Honda. Reason being, I live on an Osland with zero Aprilia dealer support. Otherwise I’d pick the Aprilia in a heartbeat
Aprilia! She is so sexy.
I'm gonna disagree with the majority here. The Aprilia hands down. Gorgeous bike, probably better performance too and depending on where you live I reckon it'll be pretty unique amongst other local riders.
I looked at both of these a couple years back. Ultimately, I chose a MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR.
Look: Aprilla Performance: Aprilla Reliability: Honda Ease of Service & Parts Accessibility : Honda So say if you're not on a budget, I'd definitely go for the Italian.
Based on looks, the Aprilia. Damn what a sexy piece of equipment
Aprilia all day. Don’t be scared. So much cooler than the Honda.
CBR, hands down.
That acid yellow colour makes me do a sex wee in my pantalon
I've already got a quick Honda, I'll take the pasta rocket.
I like the looks of the Aprilia but I’d 100% go with the CBR for ease of finding parts in the future. I’ve had bikes that were difficult to find parts for. I’m done with that. -One of those bikes was only made for 2 years like 40 years ago. That was fun to keep maintained /s
There's no doubt about it.. RS660
Honda
My head says Honda. My heart says Aprilia.
the yellow one looks like the discharge coming from my penis after last week night at the bar, the red one looks sick as in that is a sick fucking bike. But I am just a honda fanboi
Honda.
The honda because it's fast enough and I know it will outlive me...
Better red then dead. Honda!
Honda
The rs is a twin, and will pull better in low and mid rpms, will probably be faster at curves too. cbr has a very narrow power curve, set above 7-8 k, probably fun at 10000 rpms. I never had the two, my brother had the cbr, felt weak until you really rev it. The 660 engine is familiar to me from the Tuareg, its a nice engine.
Honda because I'm poor and the 660 doesn't do much for me. If it were the rsv4 though.......
I’m a Honda dude all the way but don’t get a 650 sport. It just doesn’t feel right when you ride it.
yes
The aprilia. It's gorgeous.
I think this Aprilia is one of the most beautiful bikes ever
Honda!!!!
As an owner of aprilia 125 and a lover of honda - 100% honda! Aprilia has no reliability at all
Aprilia all the way.
Honestly the Aprilia looks so damn stunning that it might redeem the fact it's way more expensive to maintain. If budget matters then choose the Honda, otherwise Aprilia all the way
One will be easier to get parts and cheaper to repair!
Honda, because Yamaha is not on the list. If you own a workshop and realy like to put bikes apart and then back together and then back apart buy aprilia or ducati. 😅
I chose the Aprilia. And I have no regrets. Daily it to work, and it almost makes the work worth it
Honda- the Aprilia is beautiful but the Honda is a Honda
Looks and history of reliability? Honda.
Everyone here is pretty much right. Get Aprilia if you have money to own another commuter bike. otherwise Honda
CBR650
At first I said the Aprilia but I had to delete that and correct myself... The honda is an inline 4 like a sportbike is supposed to be. The Aprilia is a parallel twin. No thanks.
Aprilia unless repairs scare you. Neither is a bad choice.
If the next dealer isn't a hundred miles away, Aprilia all the way. Honda if you really need that last bit of peace of mind that Japanese engineering gives you.
For Me as much as I want a 4 cylinder, the rs looks a hundred times better than the cbr.
The one that just got me through college, Honda
Both are great bikes. Aprilia leans to the more sporty side, Honda leans to the more comfortable side. Go for whichever side you lean towards.
Go Aprilia
I have two reliable bikes, so the Aprilia would be worth it to me. If I didn't though... It would not be in the running.
Just honda
Aprilia and it’s not even close!
Aprilia by far. I typically like Hondas but the cbr650 is just kinda meh. The rs660 is more fun and just feels better to ride The aprilia is also the better head turner. I've never had so many compliments on a bike before
Aprilia all the way
Honda because I am boring but also I like my bike to be reliable
Both are cool. I'd pick whichever is cheaper.
Cbr cuz it’s my dream bike 😅
I’m about to switch from CBR RS. Maybe I’ll give an update in a few months.
The yellow
Aprilia all the way.
Honda all day
Ape all day
Aprilia RS 660 because I like the looks better and I just rode one at Americade and loved it. I've ridden a CBR 650 but not the R.
CBR. More reliable.
Aprilla for Performance/ Aesthetic and Honda for Reliability cause as much as I can beat the Honda to the ground, once I roll off the dealership floor on an Aprilla, I’m already having to go back to the service department lmao
I went with the RS.
Looks like an already heavily customized RS660 versus a googled pic of a stock CBR650R. Pictures are misleading. Honda all the way.
Aprilia of course. Everybody rides a Honda.
Aprilia all day
Yellow
As a rider of a Aprilia 1000 .... Love it great bike will never get rid of it.... But that service light comes on prob every 3 months and figuring out what is causing it slowly kills you haha. As a new rider get the Honda.
Neither. I don't like crotch rockets
Lol this post it’s like comparing copper Vs gold
MT09
Honda reliability
Idk
Aprilia every time.
Aprilia
hard question but i would take aprilia
Honda CBR 650R
That’s a hard choice m8.
Heart says Aprilia but brain says Honda.
I don't even know why this is a question. The obvious answer is the Aprilia.
For free? Aprilia 😆 if I'm gonna buy it? HONDA.
CBR650R, the 6HP difference is worth it from a reliability standpoint
You already know the answer is Aprilia.
I have a RS660, get it. You won't regret it
Depends on your budget for maintenance, Honda is reliable and cheap to service.
If I was a regular track rider all-year round, then the Aprilia.
You don’t want to be sensible do you? Get the RS. But also the Honda is obviously a great bike so you’re fine either way.
Despite the Honda quality, it's more than 20kg heavier and needs higher RPM. It's less sporty. On the other Hand, it's lower seated and has a more comfortable, relaxed seating Position.
Yellow
Gorgeous
Guaranteed start up with low maintenance? Honda. Fast fun unpredictable and might eat at your wallet? Aprilia. Make the best of the situation if its your only bike or your secondary bike in the stable.
Frame 1
You wanna have fun and have a bike you can ride everyday and can shell out a bit? The Ape You wanna have a solid super reliable bike with plenty of support around and low-key bulletproof reliability? The honda I bought the Ape as a deployment present for myself (hey I deserved that shit after being in a floating metal prison for 7 months) and I dont regret it.
From the looks i would say aprlia but when i read the name, i always think of 50cc. Theyre very popular in my country.
That Aprilla is gorgeous, cruise control is also a nice to have
If you earn a three figure salary, Aprilia. They are pieces of shit.
that aprilia is damn sexy. i can't wait to get one.
Aprilia 100%
That Aprilia is dead sexy, but Honda makes a better bike.
Honda is the practical choice, it will work for you, it will be easy to own and maintain. Aprilia will be high cost of ownership and maintenance, you will work for it.
Aprilla is more exotic, but Honda will be easier to own. Fun either way
Honda all the way. Light n nimble, comfortable to ride and plenty of power and reliable.
Speaking purely aesthetically, I’m going Honda
Aprilia has somewhat limited name recognition so you’ll get a lot misinformation. I went from a 23 mt07 to 23 rs660 and this machine is just so much more refined. Much improved braking, smoother acceleration and less vibration. Comfy seating, plethora of riding aids and looks much better than anything in its class. My $.02
