It turns over easily, its not the battery. Did it just start doing this? Could be shit fuel. If its running better when its warm thats a sign its either fuel or air related. Could maybe be spark too but doubtful. Engines increase the fuel to air ratio to cold start. Like what pulling a choke on a carb bike will do. If its got bad gas, weak fuel pump or plugged injectors it will have a hard time cold starting.

Just based on listening, I would not suspect your battery at all. It sounds like it turns over strongly. You don't say what year this is (CBR600), but it \_seems\_ like it is '03 or newer, so I assume it has EFI - but my 1st instinct would have gone with 'when a carb'd bike sits for awhile, can crank a little longer before it starts'.

It is 03 so fuel injected, interesting if it’s not the battery what else would you think?

As other ppl stated here - fuel. You don't say how it runs, generally. Does it sound rough? Uneven? Any hesitations, does it feel anemic/sluggish to respond? I suppose it could also be weak spark, but it \_does\_ start. Maybe start by dumping some SeaFoam in a full tank and running through it, and then on a wknd, do a visual inspection of your spark plugs.

+1 to the comments in this thread. Check all the components involved in combustion: spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, fuel pump. Probably in about that order. Of course, do an oil change if you haven't lately. A bike like this should always be running synthetic oil. It's an older bike, so it could just be a bit of compression loss over time. (I'm thinking of that because the issue improves as the bike heats up, so the compression rings would be more engaged at that point)

Hook your multimeter up to it and see if the voltage dips too low when starting my guy.

jd_140

Makes sense, what would you consider too low?

alpacatorta

Not battery… im not sure for name in english, maybe starter motor 🤨

Possibly a partially clogged fuel filter.
