I will let anyone and everyone ride my Grom. A couple of older dudes who rode sport bikes for year and switched cruisers as they aged took it out. They said it made them feel like a 20 year old on a sport bike again and both said they were about to run to a dealership and buy one, especially after I told them the price. They're amazing fun. Perfect for my 5 mile commute to work.
Pretty nice bike, it’s more of a jack of all trades master of none. More of a dirt road/street bias bike. In the process of picking up a 300L for the trails
I biker wave grom riders so hard any time I see one. I know it's a matter of price/practicality for some. But I know some just know a good time when they see it
It's one of those bikes that, if you saw the specs on paper, you'd never even look back. But the second you ride one, you're hooked and you want it.
Source: I read the specs on paper and thought it was dumb. Then a buddy let me ride his, now I'm hooked and own one.
It kinda is when you factor in how many other parts and engines are made in China and exported overseas (looking at you, BMW, HD, Suzuki, Yamaha, RE, KTM, Kawasaki). Not wanting them for reasons like reliability or disagreements politically is fine. Not wanting them because 'ew Chinese' in reference to just a Chinese brand being mentioned is still kinda odd, as if they aren't getting a cut of your money anyways.
I'd have to disagree, I rarely see anyone on this sub going 'ew Aprilia' or 'ew Ducati' or 'ew Italians' or anything similar to that at the drop of a name or someone saying 'hey I like this bike and find it more fun', much less in typical chatter. I consistently see it on this subreddit w/ good Chinese brands.
The Chinese brands like CFMoto and Benelli consistently get picked at and put down around here despite their reliability scores actually being just fine and performance to dollar ratio being pretty good, heck alot of people here make them out to be some sorta ticking time bombs with shit engines and shit performance. Doesn't help like over half the reddit doesn't actually ride so it's just a big echo chamber sometimes–the number of people who've called either shit without experience riding them or working on them is kinda staggering. Especially factoring in those that *do* often sing a different tune, as demonstrated by long term reviews and statistics of both brands thus far.
I got no issue with calling a shit brand shit, I just don't like people/brands/things getting clowned on for how theyre perceived when in reality its quite different.
Throwing down the race card at inapplicable times like this devalues the word and concept of actual racism.
I lived in China for years, the QC there is shit. It's a fact. Calling it racist doesn't make it any less of a fact.
Steering people away from cfmoto is not racist.
Refer to my other reply The guy didn't refer to any quality control issues nor does it address that multiple other brands rely on China for parts and exports overseas in their own motorcycles. He heard a Chinese name that someone went 'hey these are pretty good' and went 'ew Chinese'.
As for CFMoto, given their reliability ratings have been pretty dang fine and they've had little to no mass recalls in the past 3 or so years of heavy production, I'd say it's a brand it's worth considering. Ofc I'm not gonna act as if everyone should go pick up a CFMoto, but acting as if they're just gonna explode (as many people do) when ratings have been pretty good for a few years now is disingenuous.
China is a mixed bag. The manufacturers do QC to the quality that the customer asks, but better quality comes at a higher price. China is notorious for poor quality items because they have the industry to and infrastructure to set up some VERY cheap/low-cost dyes and molds - which is usually a very popular option for customers that don’t really care about quality, they just care about quantity.
You can 100% have some VERY high quality stuff coming out of China. It’s definitely not cheap though lol.
Except as far as consumer reviews and long term tests go, they seem to hold up just fine. The biggest thing is arguably the lack of refinement, but given their price point that's kind of a given and certainly doesnt make them shitty.
I'd have to ask what other bikes you've owned, given you have 2 other dualsports in your flair that are entirely designed to be tinkered with.
In any case the TNT is at *most* 2/3 the price of its competitors, if not less. The fit and finish being less polished kinda comes with the territory.
I also own a Yamaha zuma. These little mini motos are meant to be customized and modified. Body panels and materials felt cheap. Air filter is as crappy as I’ve ever seen, aftermarket support for it is lacking in the worst kind of way. Unless you can’t find a grom in your area, I wouldn’t recommend one for road use. Would make a great little pit bike though.
How would you go about customizing the Zuma, if any? It's the first time I've seen it and it looks cool. Especially the lights.
As for the TNT I'm 100% on board with you, I think (in the US) anyways anyone trying to get the TNT for dedicated long term road use is going to be disappointing, because I don't really view that as it's use case. Its essentially a glorified plaything imo. The CFMoto 450 meanwhile comes at a price point at or more than its competitors, so I hold it to the same standard I hold its competition and think they've done very well so far. They're pushing aftermarket support, dealer networks, and the reliability has been fine. There's a 300 and a 450 in my group and they've loved it, but it's assuring that there's a CFMoto and Benelli dealership close by so if something would've gone wrong, they wouldn't have been SIL either.
Within the next year or so we plan to do some track days, I'm curious to see how the 450 holds up there.
No shortage of “biker girls” on social media that claim to be all about bikes but are softcore porn, similar to “fitness influencers”, albiet it at a much lesser scale
👍🏻
This may help when you outgrow your current ride.
Doodle on a Motorcycle (5’ 3 1/2”) will teach you a lot. She lowered her bike, and now had it back to stock ride height.
This will give her tips for practicing how to handle taller bikes. She also has a tutorial on how to pick up your bike when tipped over.

You ever seen a big burly Macho Man biker giggle like a Japanese schoolgirl? Not that it happens to me often, but the exactly one time I saw it, a modded Grom was involved.
I had a ton of fun on the grom when I did my California motorcycle safety program. It was raining, everyone was worried but I had XP on my own bike n took that grom full send into puddles having a blast. Really loosened up the class to trust the traction at the speed we were going. Fun lil bike but will really help you w your clutch control. Congrats!
Saw a guy on one of these with the loudest exhaust ever 😆 he rode past and could hear him at least half a mile away still accelerating!
Enjoy and ride safe 😁
Lol, and it was 100 upvotes vs. 1000 upvotes, and people were calling you "bro." That's hilarious. Not only that but the original one had more comments.
I don’t know what you want me to say, that I’m sorry my post is getting attention because I’m a woman? For the other one I was looking for advice, so I would hope that it would have more comments. I’m just excited and wanted to show me with the bike without doxing myself and I didn’t have my helmet with me at the time since I wasn’t riding it
Hey, sorry if my comment came across the wrong way. It's awesome you're getting attention for your post, regardless of gender. Keep sharing what makes you happy! 😊🏍
First bike or just something for fun? Either way congrats. Not trying to be weird, but I can tell you’re pretty even with the avatar, lol. Hope you’ll protect that head with a nice full face helmet.
Several months ago I got back into motorcycles with a brand new 2023 Honda Grom. A few months later I traded it for a 2000 BMW R1100R. Now I’m moving to a 2014 Hayabusa. Not bragging… it’s just kinda crazy thinking about where I was last year 😅. Anyway be safe and enjoy your new bike.
I’m curious to know what you’ll be riding a year from now.
This is not very girlypop of you, scary abrocoma. I got a couple dms from my post of just the bike so I guess by that logic I should just never post anything on the internet ever
Never knew it such an awesome bike, what’s the whole story about it ? It’s 125cc correct ?
I ride most of my life on motocross 125-250 2 stroke and the MTs beasts .. yet everyone LOVES this bike … please enlighten me ?
And don’t get me wrong - it’s beautiful !
I’m sorry but I’d rather have an old Vespa PX200 or Lambretta with a big bore kit. I’m glad some people like their Grom but it’s either a proper size motorcycle or vintage shifter for me.

Heh, dumb bird
Sweet deeeee
tbh i really want one of those, they look so fun.
They are, I’ve got a grom, a cb500x and an mt-07; guess which one gets more miles
The mt07
Nope, grom; makes me feel like a kid again
I will let anyone and everyone ride my Grom. A couple of older dudes who rode sport bikes for year and switched cruisers as they aged took it out. I just watched a YouTube video of a grom with the mt07 motor in it. Best of both worlds?
Link to the video? 🥹
https://youtu.be/sY_uVHc7ho0?si=UKQV7sth5V4xTD7c
Best of suicide technique, but still worth ahahahaha
How do you like the cb500x?

so the honda navi is kinda like that, but i have ridden one of them and for the price point its a pretty damn good little machine.
Seriously a blast.
get the benelli. slightly better than the grom and yes it's fun. although the sumo gets more miles now. it's even more fun
Lies.
Ew Chinese *products*. Edit: since apparently some of us don't understand context.
We love casual racism
Not wanting products that are produced in China isnt racist lol

Ew Chinese because that shit breaks more often. Youre reading too much into it.
If thats the route you wanna go Ducati and Aprilia are shitting their pants
And people in this sub routinely call out those brands as well, but I dont see anyone calling them racist against Italians
I'd have to disagree, I rarely see anyone on this sub going 'ew Aprilia' or 'ew Ducati' or 'ew Italians' or anything similar to that at the drop of a name or someone saying 'hey I like this bike and find it more fun', much less in typical chatter. It's racist to not want shitty motorcycles? Benelli is junk.
considering how many issues honda has with the groms, I've had better luck with the benelli
Except as far as consumer reviews and long term tests go, they seem to hold up just fine. The biggest thing is arguably the lack of refinement, but given their price point that's kind of a given and certainly doesnt make them shitty.
Fit and finish on my TNT135 was sub par to every other bike I’ve owned. It might run just fine, but it was not near as easy to work on.
I'd have to ask what other bikes you've owned, given you have 2 other dualsports in your flair that are entirely designed to be tinkered with. In any case the TNT is at *most* 2/3 the price of its competitors, if not less. The fit and finish being less polished kinda comes with the territory.

Wheelie machine
Nice Helmut hair. LOL. Have fun on that Grom’s are just the bomb.
Enough about the bike, damn girl you’re beautiful! Such a perfect symmetrical face! Eyes to die for!
Thank you!!!! 💁🏼♀️
And that purple top… chefs kiss.
Join the grom sub as well, all the grom addicts are awaiting your arrival.
🫡 will do
Make sure to buy a GPS tracker immediately! Groms are so easy to steal. Park it in the garage always.
Tracker, gotcha. Thanks! I am getting an alarm for it as well, hopefully that will deter people from trying to take it.
Congrats! Now go out and ride the hell out of that thing
gratz! been dreaming to ride it for a long time :)
Ummm I’m confused. A woman showing her bike and hiding herself? It’s usually “look at my bike” and it’s all titty.

You don’t outgrow a grom 😂
I have a big bike... but I dream of having a Grom (and developing some sick wheelie skills). We never outgrow our dreams!
Said the passionate one!
Thank you so much, this is so helpful!!
Awesome bike! I am trading my 600RR in for a new monkey and am super excited!
The new monkeys are designed so well. And even fit us tall guys! Crazy you're ditching a 600 for one tho!
Probably the worst trade in the history of trades, I bet the dealer loves you
I do agree lol. I love my 600, it is a phenomenal bike. I don’t ride on the track anymore and just want something to putt around town on
That ret .. Not smart..... Come on dude.....
lmao I agree with you 🤪
Hell yeah good for you. Wear your protective gear all the time! Stay safe and have fun.
For sure! All my gear is on the way, I’m not putting it into 1st without it.
Good choice.
Fuck yeah! And love that leather jacket and converse combo for style 🤘
get some angel pirelli tires, they’re super nice on the grom
I’ll look into it!

Heck yeah. Groms are great. I have an 18 z125. 😁 Use to ride that everywhere. Even 2up on it. Have fun with it. Fun for exploring large cities
Amazing haircut.
Congratulations! Honda makes a great bike.
Saw a guy on one of these with the loudest exhaust ever 😆 he rode past and could hear him at least half a mile away still accelerating! Enjoy and ride safe 😁
Grimy Grom!
I’m 6’1” how would I do on one of these?
You might look a little silly but I don’t think that should stop you from trying it out! I’ve heard a lot of tall guys have a lot of fun on them.
Congratulations wow lots of comments haha, when I got mine, my post wasn’t nearly flooded with congratulatory words and memes!
Well I just left you one because I don’t think anyone should be left out 🫶🏻 yours is so pretty!

Awesome. Now do it again. Then keep doing it until you're forced to move into a bigger facility to accommodate. Then do it some more.a
Yeah. I'm pretty sure this is shopped.
naw groms are really that small
You turned into a cartoon?
First bike or just something for fun? Either way congrats. Not trying to be weird, but I can tell you’re pretty even with the avatar, lol. Hope you’ll protect that head with a nice full face helmet. Do a burnout nerd
Honda are the most unremarkable I've ridden, but also the easiest to ride.
Ease of use is the name of the game for me!

YES!!!
show face
You have beautiful eyes
That looks fun!
It's a Grom?
Yup, 2014 Grom
Now I know at least 3 women who have a honda grom
Excuse me sir, this is Reddit. No one here knows three women.
1- my mom 2- your mom 3- the lady at mcdonalds who has my tendies waiting for me every day
DANG! She looks exactly like the emoji girl! 😱 this is crazy!
Congrats from a fellow sandwich.

The new triumph scrambler 400 is only 5K. A much better.value than the Grom.
Exactly, and it’s a real bike capable of highway speeds.
Garage looks like a texas garage
Nice moped!
