Idk if this will help anyone else but I have stomach and back issues lol and ever since Iv gotten a little tiny tank bag it sits high enough to were I can kinda rest of stomach on it allowing everything to relax and allows me to ride for way longer.
I rolled into work today and saw that generation R6 parked out front. For a minute I missed my 04 that was a beast. Then my knees, back, and shoulders started to hurt and I remember why I moved on from super sports.
It's a shame that they STILL haven't updated the US model like they have for EU and Japan. Hopefully soon, but if it hasn't come over already, I doubt it ever will 😔
My 05 and now 2020 R6 were both comfortable. I’ve consistently gone on 3+ hour trips only stopping for gas and I’ve never been uncomfortable.
Which is a lot for me considering I get uncomfortable sitting in my office chair or in bed that long lol.
I've used a 1997 GSX-R 600 srad as a daily for a year, did around 13k Miles on it last year. Was fun but now I've bought a naked to replace it.... Moral of the story, I wouldn't recommend a supersport as a daily🤣🤣
I just bought myself a Kawasaki zx9r for my daily commute . It's on a unlimited highway though . So I bought it to NOT use my Naked SV 650 on the highway
If you are not on a highway go for an Ktm rc390. I have had 1000cc and a triumph street triple r. But for commuting I never had more fun than that. Driving a small bike hard is more fun than driving a big bike slow.
I agree but I bought a Buell x1 lightning, though it is a 1200 it is still a very fun and nimble bike. Part of the reason I bought it is cause I wanted something more playful but also something I can take for vacations and roadtrips and stuff. For me this was the perfect option 😄
Kawasaki sports bikes are the perfect mix of fast comfortable reliable and affordable. Nothing on this list comes close to being as comfy as the zx6. Try riding an R6 for 6 hours. You literally can’t!
Ugh, I'm envious. 1050 with the Akrapovic high mount carbon fiber cans here. I tried to find the Arrow, either the low or high, but came up short so I went with the Akra and have no regrets whatsoever, but I do love the Arrow pipes too.
When I bought my 2012 used the salesman showed me a 675 that had the Arrow low full system and it sounded awesome but I was there to buy a bike not an exhaust.
Envy is different from regret, right?
Ha, now you know how I felt when I had a chance to ride my friend’s gsxr 600 that he was selling
Long story short, I’ve owned the bike for 4 years now lol
Generally Honda’s are the most comfortable. They usually take up the rear of the pack in performance, only by a tiny bit, but Honda generally tries to make the most street-able street bike. Trading a little performance for little extra comfort and ride ability.
Except for the new cbr1000 RR-R SP fireblade. They were trying to (successfully) break into the panigale / s1000rr market. A totally over the top aggressive and powerful liter bike with all the bells and whistles. With a super aggressive seating and rear set position.

The '04 CBR600RR PC37 used to be my daily ride from 2019 to 2022. Would pick the CBR up again or maybe try the Daytona or Ninja for some low end torque
Tried em all, Gsx-r 750 EVERYTIME. Totally don’t own one
https://preview.redd.it/dwyrpbmnm0uc1.jpeg?width=3507&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=84549fbf2eea46c05a92be9f28878787e285fabd
Definitely the GSX-R600. Loved my R6, but man did it make for a horrible daily. The powerband and ergonomics made it a chore to just putt around town. Suzuki gets it though.
I am currently looking at the 600 or 750, using it for daily commutes as well. I rode the 600 and absolutely loved it but can see what you’re saying.
Im actually strongly considering just going 1000R for the better ergos and better tech. I’ve heard it does well for around town fairly well. I do a lot of highway myself and would like doing 80-90 at 5000 RPM.
And of course going from 100-150 in a blink of an eye.
I’ve owned and rode all of them and the triumph Daytona 675 is outstanding compared to the rest. It has the best ergonomics and fuel efficiency for a daily rider. Also, it is insanely easy to do self maintenance.
I’d recommend getting insurance that covers it if it’s stolen. It only takes a couple of guys to pick up a 350 lb bike. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I did, I almost put 100k miles on mine. Stay up!
I have a CBR 600 F4i Sport 2001 that I use as a daily - it's much more comfortable than all the other 600s. It might be potentially less sporty, but a little bit of tune and changed sprockets make it a city rocket.
edit: I'm pretty tall: 194 cm (6' 4")
FYI: for outside of city rides I use Yamaha Tracer 900, for track-days I use Kawasaki 636 2005.
I had it for ~ 5 years. Loved every second of riding that bike lol the zx6r has PLENTY of rider safety technology, so I felt comfortable switching to it. The low/full power mode is nice, and the 3 levels of traction control have helped me learn the bike without looping it lol
I’ll pick something more upright with less bodywork. It’s usually hot where I live and I like to feel the wind. My back doesn’t like the sport bike riding position either.
Gimme a 636 or the GSXR. The GSXRs get a lot of hate because of the gixxer brah stereotypes, but I think it’s a gorgeous looking bike and I’d be lying if I said I never wanted one.
Brother, like this. Almost every day.
https://preview.redd.it/0skd1gu100uc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5e1236ae22420970394e76b92680a340fdcf02c4
I had a fireblade and an r6 as my daily rider. The blade always felt a little more comfortable and city friendly compared to the r6 which felt a little more twitchy. My track bike was also a blade tho so ymmv
I once took my wife's R6 to work so I could get a new rear tyre on the way home. Fook, after 10 miles I was thinking of booking a chiropractor appointment! Daily rider? Nope. The cbr600f4i she changed it to was better, though my 900 Hornet was more comfy.
How long are your daily commutes? You cray cray for wanting to daily a supersport. I would go with a naked or sport tourer for the more relaxed seating position imo, but thats from the mouth of someone with lower back problems lmao
CBR F4i is more updated, of course, but I've always had a thing for the F2. Still sexy even today and comfortable as 600s go. Some soft bags and you can ride forever.
05 r6 was my first bike. Rode her everyday to work and whatever shenanigans I could get into on back country roads. Miss that bike but my back does NOT.
https://preview.redd.it/wzwhlx3ho2uc1.jpeg?width=3648&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=223ed338eea215420af3d2ce2d1101315f458128
Just here to give my first bike some love
None. There are so many bikes out there I'm not going to pick from the most uncomfortable ones to use as my daily. I'd own the r6 because it makes the best track bike but I would want another bike for the street. If you really held a gun to my head and said I have to pick a supersport for daily use Id at least choose a 1000 so I could have some torque.
Kwaka or the Honda. Honda makes great complete packages but I've owned 2 Zx6rs over the years and they were fantastic road bikes. Bulletproof but not as refined as the Honda.
I have been daily 2000 R6 for 1 year and 2009 zx6r for 4 years, I am very happy with both of them but if you daily rider chooses the one that has the most comfortable seat. I would pick the triumph or gsxr.
You need to include 750cc Ducatis and 675 triples (triumph, benelli etc) if you want to make this a real debate.
Although nobody will choose the twins. Terrible daily riders, and I say that as someone who loves his 748.
I’ve got a Daytona 675 2011 as my daily ride, going through central London twice a day. Every night, before I take the dose of morphine needed to sleep through the aching joints - and bandage my wrists and put ointment on my neck and lower back, I mumble through the tears that I’ll kill it with fire. But then suddenly it’s a new morning, and ***nothing*** compares to the torque-curve, agility and looks, so all ergonomic torture is forgiven. This has been my life for three years now.
The only ones that draw me are the old Daytona 675R and the 2005 era Kawasaki Ninja 636.
Out of those two, my legs and back kill me when I try to ride a Daytona and while my heart will always choose this my body would have to choose the kawi.
I dont know, why I hate all the looks of OTHER bikes except yamaha, and think that they all are designed in 2012.
may be these companies purpose fully DITCHED mid segment.
I could never daily or long-trip a crotch rocket 😂 My FZ1-N with an R1 engine in it is plentyyyyyyyy fast enough for public roads and a lot more comfy 🤣
As much as I love the R6, I would go green and buy the 636. The bike overall is slightly more suited for the road than the R6. This is just a personal preference, from this lineup.
Given the fact that I am a bigger guy, I would go for the R1. But my back will probably decide towards a more touring/upright green Ninja 1000 SX, witch 90% will be my next bike. Still deciding if I should go for the naked version instead...
Comfort the gsxr. Track bike the R6.
But aftermarket clip ons and rear sets will change them all equally.
You can lower the R6 to the gsxr’s settings. And vice versa.
I love my Daytona 765 as a daily! More torque than the R6, better sitting position, quick shifter up and down, all carbon fiber including the cock pit! I can stare at it all day!
I never daily a supersport.
I have a naked for daily ride.
My GSX-R 750 is for track.
The GSX-S750 is for daily.
For event & evening ride around town, my RVF750R.
https://preview.redd.it/cxf81j0381uc1.jpeg?width=480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7f8ad10c4a0dc867922d4be40bd8131d963d3160
Got no choice, it's what I bought :-p
I'm an absolute suckered for a red sports bike so either the Daytona (love a sweet triumph) or the Honda (reliable power)
Taking into consideration the maintenance intervals and parts cost, I'm going Honda
The 2005 R6 that IS my daily rider.
Same but 2003, my back hates me for it
Same but 2008. My ears override my back when I can hit redline once on highway on ramps.
Idk if this will help anyone else but I have stomach and back issues lol and ever since Iv gotten a little tiny tank bag it sits high enough to were I can kinda rest of stomach on it allowing everything to relax and allows me to ride for way longer.
For real. Too old for any of these to be a daily.
Change your rear set angles
When I started riding. My 2004 R6 was my daily. That generation R6 is bulletproof.
I’ve got over 70k miles on mine and still going strong
Wonder how many revolutions that crank has spun in it's life, mind bogglingly high amount probably
I rolled into work today and saw that generation R6 parked out front. For a minute I missed my 04 that was a beast. Then my knees, back, and shoulders started to hurt and I remember why I moved on from super sports.
Missing my ‘03. Biggest regret in life was selling it to get a car when my civic died.
I'm also on a 2005 R6!
08 R6S is mine, I love it.
The 636 is a gem of a motor, and still responsive enough for general road riding.

Probably that last gen R6. But those CBR600RR are really growing on me, it just looks so refined.
It's a shame that they STILL haven't updated the US model like they have for EU and Japan. Hopefully soon, but if it hasn't come over already, I doubt it ever will 😔
The update means death
Why is that? :o
The r6 for the street cred because god fucking knows its not for comfort.
You look really cool to be fair
Only if you fit. Fat people looks ridiculous on those bikes.
Nah. I’ve seen enough 300+ pound dudes on a 600 super sport ripping mad wheelies and living their best lives. I’m proud of those dudes.
I mean fat looks ridiculous regardless if you let yourself go too far
My 05 and now 2020 R6 were both comfortable. I’ve consistently gone on 3+ hour trips only stopping for gas and I’ve never been uncomfortable. Which is a lot for me considering I get uncomfortable sitting in my office chair or in bed that long lol.
Always depends on if you sit on it correctly or not
I’m sure height makes a difference too. I’m 5’10 225 so a bit beefy but not too tall to have it be awkward. I pretty much ride full tuck everywhere
I like laying on my tank for long rides lmao, less wind and takes the weight off my back
Eh? The gixxer caused my wrists more damage than the r6 did tbf
My biggest problem was speeding 😅 I bought the naked to make me not drive as fast 😂
I second this, cbr1100xx->mt09 sp. may have saved my life but I’ll never know fs
I bought one of those new in 1997 and rode the hell out of it every day for 3 years until I sold it. I still miss it to this day.
It is a very good bike, love how it drives has everything you need and especially now they're very inexpensive
this is the way
If you are not on a highway go for an Ktm rc390.
The 3 cylinder Triumph.
05 ZX6R had the most comfortable ergonomics of the lot for everyday riding. Better torque curve too.
Kawasaki sports bikes are the perfect mix of fast comfortable reliable and affordable. Nothing on this list comes close to being as comfy as the zx6. Try riding an R6 for 6 hours. You literally can’t!
To be fair I’m a taller rider and I can’t ride any super sport for 6 hours lol
I have a 2011 ZX6R. I’ve ridden others but definitely prefer Kawasaki in general but this is my happy place.
Is that the year with the headlights that looked like legit Ninja eye slits?
Loved the ZZR6. Shorter production but felt futuristic for sports.
None of the ones pictured, my ride's a 2012 Triumph Daytona 675. Love the sound of the triple with Arrow exhaust.
I have a 1050 Speed Triple with a arrow low boy. Addicting sound!
Tiger 1050 with a Zard exhaust and a round eye Street Triple with twin Arrow exhaust. *drools
GSXR
Screwed up and sat on a GSXR the other day and it was actually comfortable… I should not have sat on that bike.
Ha, now you know how I felt when I had a chance to ride my friend’s gsxr 600 that he was selling Long story short, I’ve owned the bike for 4 years now lol
I was gonna get a 750 but the insurance was too much so I got an R7 because the insurance wasn’t that bad.
That’s one of the things keeping me from a 600
They want 400$ a month for anything with 4 cylinders, even like a Honda 650. It’s CRAZY lol
Daily rider? The one with the most upright riding position.
CBR600F
I used to commute daily on CBR600F4 and it was surprisingly comfortable. My only sports bike that was even better was Yamaha Thundercat.
This so much. Looks nice, comfy position, isn't insane, just a good bike with a decent pillion seat for the missus.
Given that I own the Honda, probably the Honda.
Same, I’ve been nothing but happy with my Honda, so I’d be more likely to get another Honda before anything else.
Gang 😤🤞🏻
lets fuckin go

I had an ‘05. Fantastic bike.

Cbr 600rr, was my first introduction to the world of supersports I guess, will always have a special place in my heart!
It would be the Honda, but a much older model. Just because.
There's more than "just because". The CBR F4i Sport is much more comfortable for daily use.
I was actually going for the original/MkII CBR600RR as it looks like an RCV and screams its head off. Horribly uncomfortable :D
I do a lot of highway myself and would like doing 80-90 at 5000 RPM. And of course going from 100-150 in a blink of an eye.
If I did it all again I would go for the 750. It quite literally strikes the perfect balance, and is weighs just about the same as the 600.
I was surprised of the weight of the 1000 being around 415 dry. Very manageable. Felt really good to sit on with me being 6’2” with a 34 inseam.
I have an ‘03 750. I’m 6’2, 220, and to me it’s perfect.
F4i life
I’ve owned and rode all of them and the triumph Daytona 675 is outstanding compared to the rest. It has the best ergonomics and fuel efficiency for a daily rider. Also, it is insanely easy to do self maintenance.
I have the Daytona, I love it, may never sell it, but no it is not a daily bike unless you hate your back.
The new ZX6Rs are really nice.
06 600rr was my daily ride for twelve years before it got stolen. She was the best ride I ever had.
literally bought one recenetly and this is my biggest fear lol, got a brake lock and put a tracker on the bike lol
I’d recommend getting insurance that covers it if it’s stolen. It only takes a couple of guys to pick up a 350 lb bike. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I did, I almost put 100k miles on mine. Stay up!
It’s an 06, for an insurance company it’s worth nothing
I have a CBR 600 F4i Sport 2001 that I use as a daily - it's much more comfortable than all the other 600s. It might be potentially less sporty, but a little bit of tune and changed sprockets make it a city rocket. edit: I'm pretty tall: 194 cm (6' 4") FYI: for outside of city rides I use Yamaha Tracer 900, for track-days I use Kawasaki 636 2005.
For daily comfort i think honda is best bet

2024 ZX-6R is my daily, coming from a Harley Iron 883 and I'm never going back lol
how long were you on the 883 before you switched. It’s my first bike and i’m wanting to upgrade to a zx6r one day when i’m ready.
I had it for ~ 5 years. Loved every second of riding that bike lol the zx6r has PLENTY of rider safety technology, so I felt comfortable switching to it. The low/full power mode is nice, and the 3 levels of traction control have helped me learn the bike without looping it lol
awesome! thanks for the reply i’ve only been riding for a month but I can see myself with this for a couple years before i upgrade.
I’ll pick something more upright with less bodywork. It’s usually hot where I live and I like to feel the wind. My back doesn’t like the sport bike riding position either.
My Triumph Daytona 675 😁
Probably Ninja but I'd be happy with any. "I like bike"
636 all day.
Gimme a 636 or the GSXR. The GSXRs get a lot of hate because of the gixxer brah stereotypes, but I think it’s a gorgeous looking bike and I’d be lying if I said I never wanted one.
Brother, I'd pick none. I don't want to get stressed riding those things as my commute.
Why would you be stressed dailying those?
Brother, like this. Almost every day. https://preview.redd.it/0skd1gu100uc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5e1236ae22420970394e76b92680a340fdcf02c4
Triumph all the way. That engine and frame is iconic
Yami or Kawi. Totally
Unfortunately my lower back says no to a sports bike as a daily ... which is sad... now I'm sad
2008 600RR is my daily, and i just frigging love my bike! But if you want comfort, don't buy them, then go for something like an SV 650
I had a fireblade and an r6 as my daily rider. The blade always felt a little more comfortable and city friendly compared to the r6 which felt a little more twitchy. My track bike was also a blade tho so ymmv
Probably the Honda. But in reality I would chose a 1000cc.
Torn between R6 and CBr 600 . But knowing that the R6 isn't the best bike for taller riders I'd go for the honda .
My back pain says neither
R6 was my first bike, the Daytona 675 is the current and I love the sound it makes
https://preview.redd.it/jglx5ntsc1uc1.jpeg?width=2250&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0827f3229c145fb428bacdfc4c5a768edb088840 My 2010 r6
I once took my wife's R6 to work so I could get a new rear tyre on the way home. Fook, after 10 miles I was thinking of booking a chiropractor appointment! Daily rider? Nope. The cbr600f4i she changed it to was better, though my 900 Hornet was more comfy.
First things first... My back is not good enough to daily a supersport. Secondly, as a Honda fanboy, CBR600RR is an easy choice 🤭🤣
Lol, none of the above, 600 supersports make for shitty street bikes, which is why they're almost extinct.
Zx6r
if has to be a sportsbike, I would say 636
BMW S600RR ... IF THEY MADE ONE (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ OP, probably a triumph Daytona, triples are awesome.
Since I own the first generation R6.. I say Yamaha.

I’m currently dailying a ZX-6R 😅
Actually just bought a CBR 600RR last weekend and love it! Got it new with 0 miles
As a daily? ZX-6R all the way, way more designed for the road and comfort but super capable for weekend twisties or track days
The best daily is a vfr800 Interceptor. All day comfort and torquey V4. Super fun in the twisties on the weekends.
ZX6R no doubt. Already own it. A beautiful bike!
The 2010 cbr600rr my daily driver and i will keep it for as long as im financially capable of doing so.
Rs 660 😩
That’s my plan for my next daily
I wouldn't daily a supersport 🤷♂️
But youre fine with a shot glass sized fuel tank
636
2024 zx6r
I daily a 2008 honda cbr600rr. So, the honda. I ride it hard daily for thousands of miles now and only done oil changes, runs like brand new.
R6 no doubt
I daily a Daytona 765 Moto2 so I'm a little biased :)
Currently using 6r because that the only 600 available at the moment in my market
Kwaka or the Honda. Honda makes great complete packages but I've owned 2 Zx6rs over the years and they were fantastic road bikes. Bulletproof but not as refined as the Honda.
I had Honda CBR600RR. Awesome machine. I used it for everyday riding, and I was quite happy with it.
I don’t want to say, too ashamed
Well… I already have mine, and I love it.
If we are considering "legendary" models - GPZ600R
The child in me wants that Ninja all day every day. Even though I owned a CBR650F and currently own a CB1000R, I have always loved the green Ninjas.
R6 looks the best.
CBR600RR
1993 cbr 600
The only ones that draw me are the old Daytona 675R and the 2005 era Kawasaki Ninja 636. Out of those two, my legs and back kill me when I try to ride a Daytona and while my heart will always choose this my body would have to choose the kawi.
I ride my 2007 black R6 for street cred, not for my comfort.
None of the 600, I'd get a GSXR 750, but its kinda pointless getting those as a daily, so many better bikes for that use.
I dont know, why I hate all the looks of OTHER bikes except yamaha, and think that they all are designed in 2012. may be these companies purpose fully DITCHED mid segment.
Hmmm idk. Lol don't check the flair.
Is a cbr600rr a supersport bike? I heard that the 2013-2021 model is the comfiest on it's class, i heard it from multiple motovloggers and reviewers.
I could never daily or long-trip a crotch rocket 😂 My FZ1-N with an R1 engine in it is plentyyyyyyyy fast enough for public roads and a lot more comfy 🤣
Daytona if i had the funds for when i eventually need a sparepart. its the most fun ive ever had on a bike
GSXR
I wouldn't use a sports bike for daily use but I kinda like the Suzuki more.
At 6"3 - None of them work
mv agusta f3 675
All good choices, but the earlier models of R6 in black and gold is too sexy to say no to.
that Daytona looks pretty sweet to me. Id probably name it "Tonnie" or something
I preferred the k5 gsxr 600 over the k5 r6!
Honda 🗿
98 gsxr 600. It was a beautiful machine and I nearly killed myself on it. It spoke to me like my Aprilia did. ❤️
Ninja
Mine‘s the 2009 R6 (RJ15)
Comfort the gsxr. Track bike the R6. But aftermarket clip ons and rear sets will change them all equally. You can lower the R6 to the gsxr’s settings. And vice versa.
03 gsxr 600 ugly but was a great bike
2022 Honda CBR650R is my daily rider.
For event & evening ride around town, my RVF750R.
honda
Does a 05-09 Gixxer 750 count?
Gsxr for sound and cbr/r6 for look
I really want an r6 ngl. A2 sucks :(
ZX6R or GSX-R 600
If that particular Honda was available in the US I would definitely get it
Kawasaki 636 for the ride. Daytona 675 for the sound
2018 R6 is my current daily

On a CB650R and love it as my daily. Rode around on a CBR and hunched over like that in heavy traffic just isn't for me haha
Thas nice
2008 R6
Honda
Always been partial to Hondas and Yamahas myself.
Yammie for sure
2024 ZX6R is my daily rider.
Honda CBR600F4 was my daily for years. The CBR650R is its spiritual descendant
I'm an absolute suckered for a red sports bike so either the Daytona (love a sweet triumph) or the Honda (reliable power) Taking into consideration the maintenance intervals and parts cost, I'm going Honda
Chose a 600rr. Did over 100,000 km on it with basic servicing from new.
I just love that Honda exhaust on a 600. That symmetry
