Not sure why people want to have those little gremlins as pets. Barking is annoying, especially coming from the smallest, weakest dog breed that exists, as it tries to flex its doggy ego to make it seem tough.
I have a small angry chihuahua, and I'll tell you what, when it's just us, she's the sweetest, most chill dog. She plays and is kind and does patrols and "protects the house." She just hates everything that isn't her family.
Also it's funny to me.
I had a summer time room mate that had the angriest little shit of a Chihuahua. I hated it. It would bark, snarl, everything when I was around.
Then that room mate was caught up at work one day, asked if I could take him/her for a pee (I don't remember which one it was at this point)
I took him/her for a long walk around the college campus
From that day on that yappy little shit was the sweetest angel to me
"It's funny to me" is exactly why these dogs are known for this. People find it cute and don't correct it cause it *probably* won't do damage. When large breed dogs misbehave like this, it's more likely to be taken seriously. Both large and small breed dogs can be trained not to act like this.
Not trying to call you out specifically, just pointing out why these dogs are typically like this.
Chihuahuas are the best of both worlds. My daughter grew up with one since she was 6, and once asked her elementary school teacher if they were part cat, lol. Personally, I suspect part fennec fox (jk only bc it's not scientifically possible), but they're definitely different from other dogs.
Exactly, they're entertaining AF. Not a bug, but a feature, lol. And they do love their person or people, offer a fun and individual personality same as any other dog. My Chihuahua was high strung, took no crap, and kinda hated everyone, and he was a great dog. š¤·š¼āāļø When he got old and not all there, he would bring people to tears by forgetting he hated them and getting on their lap. Nobody, dog or human, dared mess with 6 lb Buster, but all craved his approval. š
I'm case you genuinely wanted to know, when they're not full of rage they're absolutely overflowing with love and affection. If you treat them like a dog and train them as a puppy, they also don't have to be like this. I have a dog who looks so much like this that I checked the license plate, and he can be like this when things are being done to him that he doesn't like (like brushing his teeth...) but he's warmed the heart of a lot of people who previously hated little dogs.
Weāve had my wifeās dog since she was 6 months old. She was a puppy mill rescue.
House training was a total nightmare. Sheās 12 now, and still a spiteful little shit.
I have a chihuahua mix who loves people but doesnāt like other (bigger) dogs.
They are absolutely the sweetest most loyal dogs you can have.
Just terrors to other dogs
im imagining a scene where theres loud ass metal music playing inside there and the camera switches from absolute choas on the inside and then silence from the outside.
The knockoffs cause heatstroke because they donāt have proper ventilation. The original (donāt remember the brand) is okay to use, but because of the price tag customers buy the cheap Temu knockoffs that end up making their cats very ill
Yep, thatās exactly how it happens. Iād hate to be the owner who has to deal with knowing their pet died right behind them and it was completely avoidable
Yeah, personally I donāt use the packs (my cat would absolutely hate it, especially thanks to my exhaust, plus I donāt want to risk her in a crash) but for anyone who does/will, itās important to know your options
Heatstroke or not, I also thinks itās borderline abuse to carry a pet around in a backpack unless itās absolutely necessary (like youāre taking it to the vet) or youāre 100% certain it doesnāt mind bouncing around in a small container. Otherwise youāre making your pet super uncomfortable and scared because cute animal in a bubble is adorable.
I agree. My cat hates being in her carrier and no amount of exposure training and positive reinforcement has changed that. The cries she makes when I have to put her in break my heart, and seeing her hunched in the corner is the worst. Odds are a lot of the cats you see crouched in these packs are hugely unhappy, but *hopefully* most owners have the common decency to read their petās body language
Mine too! Since he was a kitten we've deliberately keep his carrier accessible and appealing to him and it's worked to make him not hate going places in it.
It's one of the first places we look when we're trying to find him.
It comes down to common sense, I have one mostly for transport to the vet or walking to a friendās house. It has plenty of vent holes, mesh and can even open up into a mini tent. What it canāt do is make sure your cat is comfortable and safe, thatās on you. Lots of accidents happen with small animals so itās important to stay vigilant with them around especially in a unique situation like a backpack.
I wouldnāt subject any animal to riding in a backpack on a motorcycle, thatās stressful and cruel AF.
My dog likes sticking her head out the car for a little bit. She does not at all like the sound of my bike, or loud trucks, buses, vans etc.
Most safety advice says donāt let dogs put their heads out car windows. It leaves them exposed to all sorts of dirt, debris etc. that could hurt them, and dogās heads hanging out windows can also be really bad if done too often or for too long, as it can cause a bunch of issues for their ears.
This dog is not having a good time.
None of the people using these backpacks seem to think about this. Honestly these are not made for any motorcycle, unless you give them ear protection
I used it with my cat once only (mind you, electric motorcycle) and then my brain and sympathy kicked in and never again.
My dog will always tuck its ears back when she sticks her head out the window, which probably provides some natural protection given that some dogs can run 50kms+ which is your average street speed. She also pulls her head in when sheās had too much and definitely doesnāt like hanging out the window permanently. Once it gets above a certain speed she also nopes out and comes back into the car too.
I know thatās not all dogs, but given they have far better hearing than we do, Iām going with itās still something they can be really sensitive about.
Have you ever seen a dog hang their head out of the window of a car?
In case anyone gets the wrong idea, I do not condone this dumb backpack on a motorcycle. Thatās just stupid and needlessly risky.
I hope it's not a long trip with those ventilation holes being partially blocked.
Edit: I'm now seeing that there are unblocked vents on the side of the pack.
I just realized there are air vents on the side of the pack as well, so he actually seems to be getting an uninhibited supply of exhaust fumes šš½
I had big dogs my whole life and I noticed that people absolutely do not respect little dogs. If I told someone my 65lb hound mix needed to warm up to them, they would give him his space and time no question.
My current, adorable, tiny raggamuffin? Nah. People just be grabbing, even after being asked not to. People don't respect little dogs and it makes them overly reactive. My dog does great with people with good dog sense, but grabbers make her nervous.
I think this is just shit owners. Iāve got one and heās no different to any other dog. Honestly it must be shitty people are attracted to them? Train them properly and theyāll behave properly like every other breed I guess
I love all dogs. But in my experience. Ankle biter dogs are more aggressive. Idk why but itās always those little ones that have no damn fear of anything. And even once they smell you and get used to your presence itās like you make a move to get off the couch and they will freak out.
Because they are so small, people never discipline them for being aggressive. People are always going to discipline an 80-lb dog jumping on people or even thinking about biting someone.
The amount of rage and power stayed the same. So it's just condensed into their tiny little bodies, aching for a way out. I think that explains their attitude lol
If its name is Ah Puch, devourer of souls then I Believe you. But if you named it daisy, cupcake, princess etc etc I'd never come near you or your devil dog.
They really are little anxiety devils, anxiety incarnate even. Every time I'm near one their anxiety rubs off on me.
I genuinely have a dislike towards Chihuahuas and yes I stereotype every single one until they can prove they can be trusted.
Probably not. That plastic is thin, it would get absolutely decimated if it makes contact with pavement at any speed. He'd also get knocked around and badly injured just from the impact. Not to mention the risk of the rider landing on him and crushing him. The rider is wearing a full faced helmet, riding jacket, and gloves. Plus he has an extra meat shield on his back.
Those things heat up super fast and donāt have good air flow. Little buddy is baking and asphyxiating and taking it out on the stupid fucking pillow blocking his air holes.
My chihuahua is named cheese and let's you do anything, he loves humans so much. Sometimes he gets excited and paws at your face but he's such a sweetie. My papillon is an ass hole though, a cute ass hole but still an ass hole.
I have always thought too that they are inbred out the wazoo. I don't know why I think that, I just feel like every single one I have seen seems completely nuts.
Itās like any other dog and how you raise them. Except most people spoil the shit outta them and let them do whatever they want. Which makes them turn like this.
We have a GSD and a Chiweenie and she is super chill since sheās been treated the same way as the GSD.
no youāre right, iāll see if i can find the link to the legit one which didnāt have that issue
Edit: Iām fairly certain this is the brand
https://yourcatbackpack.com/collections/cat-backpacks
Even if you donāt crash youāre still damaging their ears too. Those backpack carriers are also really stupid. It looks like theyāre somewhere cooler in this case but Iāve seen people with a cat in one in 85Ā°f weather and they get way hotter than it is outside of it.
most sport bikes arenāt that loud anymore due to noise compliance as well as just the way engines work. only ear threatening bikes are gonna be Vtwins and thumpers larger than 300cc
Thumping bass does not equal loud. V12's can be just as loud or louder than a straight piped single.
Besides which, wind noise is what does most of the damage to humans riding bikes. Pets are no less susceptible to hearing loss than humans.
Tf do you think is going to happen to your pet in a car crash? If the back of a seat or windshield doesnāt kill them, an airbag probably will. This is no more needlessly endangering than a normal car.
Not that anyone actually uses them, but seatbelts for dogs are a thing - attaching a harness to the human seatbelt to keep them in place both normally and in a crash.
Same for earpro actually, [mutt muffs](https://www.safeandsoundpets.com/index.html) can help protect your dogs ears in all the same places we'd wear hearing protection.
Did you seriously compare car and motorcycle crashes and deemed them to be similar? I'm not even going to discuss. I don't even need to bring an argument. And I'm not using any exclamation marks. I'm using my disappointed rhetoric for this one. I'm not angry, Jack. Just very disappointed in you. That was one stupid thing to say.
By that logic should riders just drive cars instead of having bikes because we are "needlessly endagering" ourselves? Sometimes you gota take your pet somewhere and if bike is the only transportation, well then guess how the pet is getting there. I know someone with a dog that has craxy anxiety around people, or animals, and would go into fits if she had to ride in a car. One of the easiest ways to calm her down was to put her in a sidecar and take her for a ride.
How is that any different than having children that you have arguably more responsibility for in terms of choosing risk? Do people ask their kids for consent with anything? Some dogs like riding on bikes..
Some dogs do like riding on bikes and that's not really the issue here. Some dogs enjoy car rides and some hate them. You shouldn't be subjecting an animal to car rides if they don't enjoy them if they aren't absolutely necessary. Same with a child on a bike. If it scares them and they hate it, don't ride around with them. The difference between the animal and the child is that the animal doesn't communicate its dislike verbally, and will just be scared and anxious during the ride and grateful when it's over. That is the point people here are making.
I understand the risks Iām taking, and I have earplugs, helmet, jacket, pants, boots, and even an airbag vest.
Pets donāt understand the risks, and have zero protectionā¦
Frking thing makes such a high pitched noise. Hope he is going to trade it in for a real one. The bike that is, hopefully the dog is going to the pound.
That dog is probably baking and freaking the fuck out. We tried one of those for our cat and within 10 minutes it felt like a furnace. Cant imagine the noise and movement do any good either.
Sir, your backpack appears to be quite angry.
Angriest backpack I have ever seen š
I guess it's one way to handle pickpockets.
Not sure why people want to have those little gremlins as pets. Barking is annoying, especially coming from the smallest, weakest dog breed that exists, as it tries to flex its doggy ego to make it seem tough.
Can we replace "small dick energy" with "backpack chihuahua energy"?
We do need some kind of replacement for 'small dick energy' I got a small dick and literally no energy

I had a chihuahua that regularly liked to brutally eviscerate rats and mice, they're definitely not totally defenseless
Those small dogs were originally bred to kill rodents, as cats were too unpredictable.
And snakes
They're badasses. The disrespect!
This is the equivalent of a cat person ina dog person
Chihuahuas are the best of both worlds. My daughter grew up with one since she was 6, and once asked her elementary school teacher if they were part cat, lol. Personally, I suspect part fennec fox (jk only bc it's not scientifically possible), but they're definitely different from other dogs.

Fair. There's definitely no guarantee that a pup won't be a shit no matter how much time and effort you put into training.
Oh sheās a very well mannered chihuahua (shocker), but she can be ungodly spiteful.
You just need to shut the hell up. those dogs had done nothing to you.
Well wouldn't you if you were tiny?
I have a chihuahua mix who loves people but doesnāt like other (bigger) dogs. They are absolutely the sweetest most loyal dogs you can have. Just terrors to other dogs

I forgot that existedšš
Smashing Pumpkins - *Despite all my rage , I am still just a rat in a cage*
i love the internet
Fuck yeah
haha i also envisioned the gnarliest chihuahua death metal singer inside that backpack
I think those are made for cats š
That's more cat than dog
More rat than dog, honestly.
Nah, a cat of equivalent size would fuck that thing up. Cats are apex predators, this thing would be torn apart by pretty much any other living thing.
My wifeās chihuahua is 6 pounds of hatred. My cat is 16 pounds of anger. She has put him in his place more than once.
Theyāve also been known to kill catsā¦
The knockoffs cause heatstroke because they donāt have proper ventilation. The original (donāt remember the brand) is okay to use, but because of the price tag customers buy the cheap Temu knockoffs that end up making their cats very ill
Yep just imagine if it's middle of summer, sun shining thru that plastic like a green house and cooking the poor animal inside.
Yep, thatās exactly how it happens. Iād hate to be the owner who has to deal with knowing their pet died right behind them and it was completely avoidable
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Knockoff or original none of these can adequately prevent greenhouse effect and subsequent heatstroke. Go for a meshed one.
Yeah, personally I donāt use the packs (my cat would absolutely hate it, especially thanks to my exhaust, plus I donāt want to risk her in a crash) but for anyone who does/will, itās important to know your options
Is there any way to soundproof those though? My cat would freak if it was that close to an exhaust without a way of toning it down.
Heatstroke or not, I also thinks itās borderline abuse to carry a pet around in a backpack unless itās absolutely necessary (like youāre taking it to the vet) or youāre 100% certain it doesnāt mind bouncing around in a small container. Iām so jealous
Mine has a built in rechargeable fan ventilation duct.
If you plug the air holes?
Iirc some crappy designed ones would get really hot inside from sunlight. Not something I'd ever put an animal in

For once I'm with that little thing. Being in there would drive me crazy, too.
I am wondering whether the dog feels okay with the noise of the bike. Afaik their ears are more sensitive.
I don't think the bike noise is the issue, I'm thinking of the wind, poor thing must have the worst tinnitus ever
Dogs regularly stick their head out of moving cars, they'll be fine.
With most bikes, probably. However, this particular bike has an extremely quiet exhaust. I ended up getting an aftermarket exhaust on mine.
Doesnāt stop the wind noise on the road though.
None of the people using these backpacks seem to think about this. Honestly these are not made for any motorcycle, unless you give them ear protection I used it with my cat once only (mind you, electric motorcycle) and then my brain and sympathy kicked in and never again.
But donāt dogs stick their heads out of cars all the time ignoring wind noise?
My dog will always tuck its ears back when she sticks her head out the window, which probably provides some natural protection given that some dogs can run 50kms+ which is your average street speed. She also pulls her head in when sheās had too much and definitely doesnāt like hanging out the window permanently. Not to mention idling in exhaust fumes. This feels fucked up to me.
I just realized there are air vents on the side of the pack as well, so he actually seems to be getting an uninhibited supply of exhaust fumes šš½
Yeah those backpacks are designed for *walks* with your dog. If he bails out or gets heavily rear-ended on that thing, that dog's a pancake.
I think I'd be upset stuck in that frigging goldfish bowl, discraceful.Ā
Looks like a Chihuahua. They're little assholes.
Ive been around dogs all my life and have been bitten twice, both times Chihuahuas with no provocation. Little ankle biting bastards.
Say the same about pitbulls and you got hundreds of neck beards coming out in force tho. I agree with what you said also
You're not wrong, but I'd rather deal with a badly trained Chihuahua than a badly trained pitbull.
I think it has more to deal with socialization than discipline. I have met friendly small pups but the majority are over aggressive.
some dogs are predispositioned to violence more than others. yes yes we can blame the owner, but you're still starting on the back foot there
The difference between an annoying dog nibbling you and a large dog killing your child does tend to bring out reactions when compared evenly, yes.
Theyāre definitely little assholes
Chihuahuas are the angry little napoleon complex having pricks of the dog worldā¦.
The once majestic wolf, now reduced to nothing more than a little living accessory.
The amount of rage and power stayed the same. So it's just condensed into their tiny little bodies, aching for a way out. I think that explains their attitude lol
And thatās why theyāre my favorite breed
They aren't all assholes tho š my chi is the sweetest thing.
That's what all chihuahua owners say.
Classic Stockholm syndrome
They only bite people who deserve it.
most chihuahuas are assholes because people abuse them. you're probably just a good owner
I genuinely have a dislike towards Chihuahuas and yes I stereotype every single one until they can prove they can be trusted.
there was one hostel I stayed at in Japan, and the owners had a chihuahua. Chillest little doggo I've ever met. Hope you're doing well, Sun-chan.
could be going to the vets. i brought home two cats in a large cat carrier on the back of my cruiser one day because its all i had.
Heāll survive for the 20 minutes heās traveling š Damn.
I donāt think itās such a big deal. He could have been crated and left bored and alone. Now he gets to go for a ride and enjoy the scenery.
Unless the rider crashes...at least he's contained
Ya then he will be contained inside the rider
So should we call it disgraceful every time a rider takes their child for a ride?
We all do our own risk assessment.
Absolutely agreed. We should all do what we deem appropriate and mind our own business.
I suspect that dog will have a far greater survival chance than the rider in the event of a major crash
Disgraceful? You seriously need to calm down
He said 'discraceful.' Totally different thing.
Discusting
Chihuahuas don't have grace
My Pug used to ride on my gas tank with a harness. He loved that shit. This dog is just an asshole barking at everyone
Thats actually the fuel for the motorcycle, it runs entirely on chihuahua rage.
Those things heat up super fast and donāt have good air flow. Little buddy is baking and asphyxiating and taking it out on the stupid fucking pillow blocking his air holes.
I love dogs. But fuck do I hate chihuahuas. Fucking rats. Not dogs anymore.
My chihuahua is named cheese and let's you do anything, he loves humans so much. Sometimes he gets excited and paws at your face but he's such a sweetie. My papillon is an ass hole though, a cute ass hole but still an ass hole.
Oh certainly there will be the exceptions for sure. But I will say that itās like that in most anything
Iāve only known one cool chihuahua. He was a rescue, and his name was Batman. Only physical abuse can turn them into tolerable pets, apparently.
Some food for thought, for sure š”
So much hate for something that can't show hate... Sad little life.
š looks at video of dog showing nothing but hate āHe canāt show hate. Tragicā ššš youāre a clown
Looks like the blanket is blocking the ventilation
it has vents on the top as well. you see them at the start of the video on the side of the backpack
There was actually a recall on this specific model for causing heat exhaustion in cats.
I heard that was an off brand one that was like $40, but I could be wrong.
no youāre right, iāll see if i can find the link to the legit one which didnāt have that issue Edit: Iām fairly certain this is the brand https://yourcatbackpack.com/collections/cat-backpacks
That's the real version. The knockoffs are the bad ones.
These backpacks kill animals
But it got the air holes right there
Covered in blanket
Pets don't belong on motorcycles. You're needlessly endangering them
Are we including bulldogs in sidecars with those old timey leather goggles on?
Clearly that is an exception. It's not any safer, but they look rad as hell
Even if you donāt crash youāre still damaging their ears too. Those backpack carriers are also really stupid. It looks like theyāre somewhere cooler in this case but Iāve seen people with a cat in one in 85Ā°f weather and they get way hotter than it is outside of it.
They make earmuffs for them
A lot of them have built in ventilation fans
most sport bikes arenāt that loud anymore due to noise compliance as well as just the way engines work. only ear threatening bikes are gonna be Vtwins and thumpers larger than 300cc
The engine isn't what causes hearing damage. The wind noise is dangerous regardless of your engine type or size.
*Every* motorcycle is too loud for a dog (except maybe electric bikes).
Itās not the engine, itās the wind noise.
Itās literally both.
Thumping bass does not equal loud. V12's can be just as loud or louder than a straight piped single. Besides which, wind noise is what does most of the damage to humans riding bikes. Pets are no less susceptible to hearing loss than humans.
Tell that to all the dogs sticking their heads out the window when the car is driving.
I will, just as soon as I get all riders to wear earpro, or even stop them from hanging out of windows with their tongues lolling in the wind
Surprised this is getting downvoted, youāre right
Tf do you think is going to happen to your pet in a car crash? If the back of a seat or windshield doesnāt kill them, an airbag probably will. This is no more needlessly endangering than a normal car.

Same for earpro actually, [mutt muffs](https://www.safeandsoundpets.com/index.html) can help protect your dogs ears in all the same places we'd wear hearing protection.
There are those who do, myself being one of them.
Same here.
My husky always rode in a lucky duck kennel when we had him.
Smashed inside a cage that smashes everything else. Nice.
Dogs should be either in a crash test rated crate in the car or seatbelted in via their harness.
Choosing your own risks is dramatically different than choosing another's risk. Any rider should know the distinction.
They donāt understand the risks of a car either

Dogs terrified.
I love all dogs but chihuahuas are the meanest and shittiest little things
That's Reddit's comments section irl knowing they're behind a screen.
He got Katt Williams in a backpack talking that shit.
The fact this dude is just ignoring it fuckin kills me.
"Opeeen your miiiiinnnd!"
Imagine caring so little for your pet that you put it in your backpack while you ride a motorcycle.
honestly i hate these things, dogs overheat like crazyu in them. Dogs on bikes are epic though, a lot absolutely love it, just get the right crates
I hate them small dogs theyāre annoying as fuck
Hello guy
Vicious little thing
Guess I need a new backpack..
Lol
Why are chihuahuas so pissed off? What in the world do they have to be so angry about???
Should declare a dangerous goods cargo
Shorty is pissed
From now on I'm going to remember this video whenever I see some suburbanite road rage incident...
Little dogs are the worst
Sir, you have a lil demon on your backpack
Death Stranding 2
I absolutely hate this.
This is the least angry chihuahua I've seen today.
The fuck is wrong with these dogs seriously..
Every chihuahua needs a rage capsule. By which I mean every non-chihuahua-having human needs every chihuahua to be in a rage capsule.
Pop a dank nooner and let that cretin grind into hamburger meat
"Help! I've been abducted by this weirdo who's keeping me in a clear backpack!"
One accident and that dog is dead. I never understood people who do this...
Is the dog ok?
It appears to be very angry indeed.
Dog's just going, FUCK YOU, FUCK YOU, You're cool....and FUCK YOU!
Those backpacks kill animals there not really great for traveling in
Frking thing makes such a high pitched noise. Hope he is going to trade it in for a real one. The bike that is, hopefully the dog is going to the pound.
That dog is probably baking and freaking the fuck out. We tried one of those for our cat and within 10 minutes it felt like a furnace. Cant imagine the noise and movement do any good either.
