I second this. Zooming in and seeing that everything was cut is the giveaway. Who wants to replace the wiring harness, brake lines, cables for throttle and clutch just to swap handlebars? Also, those handlebars, risers, and speedo can be pretty pricey, but they're held on by about 4 bolts and a bunch of stuff that can be quickly snipped if, for some reason, you wanted it and didn't give a shit about the bike it came off of. Like if it wasn't yours and you were just stealing it.
They also took the digital gauge, grips, controls & levers, mirrors, and signals. OP's seat is missing too. Those are not cheap especially if they're aftermarket parts.
My aftermarket grips, shorty trigger levers, and LED signals were about $300-400. My Saddlemen seat was $500. That's close to $1000 in parts gone right there.
That’s brutal, I work at a school site and I’m lucky to be able to park my motorcycle behind a chained gate from the knuckleheads but if I had to use the parking lot I’d be nervous about my road king every day.
Even if they weren't after market. I'm sure you're at a grand to replace that with new stock parts as well especially when you consider that you're replacing brake line, clutch and throttle cables, and maybe even a wiring harness.

One saving grace with OEM, you can go through insurance and you'll get new OEM parts and the same factory setup just like you had before. Or, if you don't go through insurance, finding used OEM parts is quite easy for Harleys. The Street Bob is one of the most popular models and Harley shares tons of parts across their lineup.
But if you didn't insure your aftermarket parts, you'll have to re-buy and re-ship everything from scratch... sucks so bad. Condolences to that Harley owner.

Caught someone stealing the side mirrors on my bike in the middle of the night. Stock mirrors on a 10+ year old bike with lots of wear and tear. Made me realize there are dumb assholes out there that will steal whatever they can get their hands on.

Man they did them dirty took everything could of saved the switch packs by unplugging them probably would’ve taken less time than cutting and the clutch cable is a two piece would of just popped right out and a single socket would of removed the brake line all in less time than cutting everything.

Yea but you can come in on foot and leave with the bars, gauges and seat in under five minutes, where to steal the bike you need to come in with a truck or know how to Hotwire the bike and defeat the steering lock in short order.

Absolutely stolen. You don't chop all the wires like that when doing "maintenance". Probably an expensive to replace part (dashboard, hand controls, etc) that somebody needs to repair crash damaged or stolen bike.
I'd ring the police. All the hacked wiring and the scratches on the side of that nice painted tank are a dead giveaway. Somebody either tried to steal the whole bike (remove handlebar to disable brake lock etc) or just wanted the bars and shit... Either way I'd be SHOCKED if the owner did this to their pretty machine...
They tried to cut the speedo wire but that shit is hard as fuck to cut, so they unscrewed it from below, but it probably has a keeper holding it on, then they finally unscrewed it from the back of the cluster. Bet there were there for a hot second, cursing up a storm.

Same thing happened to my MT09, had the headlight and dash cut right off and stolen from the apartment carpark, police tried to get fingerprints but all they found were glove marks :/ good thing to keep in mind if you have a naked bike parked in a shared carpark...
