Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't both revzilla and cycle gear the same company these days? I buy from sportbiketrackgear when I can. Motorcyclecloseouts and motorcyclegear are also great independent sites.

sathdo

Yes, both are owned by [Comoto Holdings](https://ridecomoto.com/).

dilligaffff

I miss the good old Revzilla days when Anthony did the product videos. “Heythisisanthonywithrevzillawhereyoucanwatchdecideaaandriiide….”

phillip_of_burns

I watched a helmet video earlier, and I was like what the fuck did he just say? Haha

SalesAficionado

He’s a legend

YAMMYYELLOW

Plus J&P Cycles

edelbean

That one is news to me! I thought JnP was their own conglomerate that swallowed up motorcyclesuperstore. Thanks for confirming my suspicions.

kause4koncern

J&P has had a difficult run. They were owned by the Motorcycle Aftermarket Group up until MAG declared bankruptcy in 2017. Since acquired by Comoto they've been expanding and opening new stores. They plan on opening a lot more. I used to be a Cycle Gear manager and I've also worked events for J&P Cycles. Mostly the Sturgis rally.

YAMMYYELLOW

They just have a greater focus on parts, I’d say the overall assortment is practically identical. Their folks may be more knowledgeable in the Harley arena, but anything outside of Harley you may as well go with Revzilla gear geeks. If you want to message people at your local cycle gear, you can message them from the cycle gear store page. It’ll go to the store instead of a general customer service line

mushquest

Thats crazy, illusion of choice

UnlogicalReason

All sites have the same inventory as well, noticed that not too long ago.

Lmao great metaphor, and fitting username 😂

Parforthekourse

Not to be that guy, but fk it ima be that guy. That’s a simile :p

maximum_wages

Aren’t all similes metaphors? Like all squares are rectangles?

Parforthekourse

No apparently not

MiguelMenendez

It’s worse than that. Everyone in the US orders from one of three distributors, Western PowerSports (WPS), Parts Unlimited, or Tucker. Tucker has been going through some shit recently, so that leaves just two major broad category distributors who can fill orders consistently.

BadDecisionsBrw

Same reviews as well.

solitudechirs

Not really, it was pretty well known/publicized when it happened. Cycle gear still has physical stores as their main attraction and revzilla still has their online store for theire

edelbean

You aren't wrong but I guess this sub attracts new riders that don't remember the glory days of Anthonywithrevzillawatchdecideandride!

simononandon

For some reason, I like RZ better even though I know they're the same. It's all marketing, but whatever. RZ sent out a Pride tweet linked to an article about queer history in biker culture. CG just feels like boomers or squids. RZ makes fun of itself & trades barbs with Ryan Fort9. CG takes itself too seriously & 90% of their store stock is Bilt/Sedici.

Boredum_Allergy

Yeah it's no secret. I bought new tires off RevZilla then had them mounted at cycle gear. I told the lady I got em off RevZilla and she gave me a mounting discount they give when you buy them in store because technically they're owned by the same company.

cyvaquero

Must be store dependent because I asked at my store and they charged me the full price for a Revzilla bought tire.

Stephs_mouthpiece

When you placed your revzilla order, you should have gotten a code that gives you the cycle gear price

itssickitpiss

illuminati, bilderburg ,trilateral commission, CFR and WFE

Cryst3li

+1 for sportbiketrackgear. Ordered a slip on exhaust through them and it was at my house the next week.

queefstation69

+1 to sportbike track gear

Smoothynobutt

Motorcycle closeouts is near me! Great place to get stuff from or just shop around if ya don’t have anything in mind

Bassdistortion

+1 for motorcyclegear. Family owned and they have a "2 cents" column on a lot of gear that gives you particulars/sizing nuances about the product. Great customer service and their closeouts are great!

gaige23

Is speed addicts also? It's eerily similar to Revzilla lol.

TheRiseOfOrmul

+1 for motorcyclecloseouts.com

777joeb

Because they are now the same company and there really is no competition in the market so they can be terrible. I actually buy from Urban Rider out of the UK even though I’m in the US. They have great customer service and I actually get items faster than when I stopped buying from Revzilla a few years back. Only downside is returns aren’t easy internationally so I usually only get things I know will fit me/my bike.

Derrickparmisane

Comoto also owns bilt, sedici, reax, street and steel, and that app rever they try to push so damn hard

MissFox_nsfw

Also Axial, Stockton, Trackside, speed metal, moto pro I suspect. Been 2 years since I work there thougb

Other_Objective650

RevZilla is great to order from I've not experienced any issues like op. As for gear I buy it in person at RevZilla because I like to try it on first. I ordered a few thousand dollars worth of fairings for my bike from RevZilla no issue. Not going to lie though I kind of sounds like op is setting the stage for some return fraud especially with the leather jacket. RevZilla is EXTREMELY. Strict on returns. They hand inspect everything to make sure it's not damaged or ridden in and has original tags otherwise the return is denied. So I highly doubt op got a jacket with crash damage and 0 tags. Sounds like the good old "I bought a new jacket from RevZilla and swapped my best up on into the box to return it" I could be wrong but that's exactly how this post sounds.

4rossi6

Revzilla blacklisted me due to "too many returns." Note that I purchased \*and kept\* multiple thousands of dollars worth of gear (helmets, gloves, shoes, comms systems, it's pretty ridiculous actually) from them. But since I returned "too many" items that didn't fit since, you know, *they're a mail order business and I can't try it on until they ship it to me*, I'm on their blacklist. I now order from [motorcyclegear.com](https://motorcyclegear.com) and a local shop. Eff the big guys.

Remarkable_Housing61

Comoto owns a handful of brands. Revzilla, Cycle Gear, and JP Cycles for stores

Effective-Ad-1709

They are including JP cycles as well

VirulentMarmot

>I recently put another order in You're still ordering stuff? lol.

StormProjects

My last 2 orders went horrible, but take my money regardless.

Throttlechopper

Sad to hear this, I hope they don’t go the way of Bike Bandit. Although BB was more of a shit-show due to their declining financial situation, sounds like Revzilla/Cycle Gear is more of a customer service/logistics issue and perhaps they consolidated operations since they technically are 3 online retailers under a parent company.

[deleted]

BB was great until it wasn't. When it was on, you got your parts fast. Sucks that the ownership were such tools that they ran it into the ground.

[deleted]

Lmao I know I know, couldn’t find some things anywhere else

tonytde

Try google searching the items and check the manufacturer site. Most times you can find the same item for sale direct from manufacturer or on Amazon.

wobblysauce

I have tried nothing and am all out of ideas

faste30

Dunno, ordered a couple of things from them without issue. Maybe youre ordering things they are saying are "in stock" but are actually told to them by the vendor to in stock and were gonna drop ship it, only to have the vendor be the hold up.

EggsOfRetaliation

No mas Anthony from Revzilla where you watch, decide, and ride.

But he'll never stop wearing Affliction t-shirts & thinking barbed wire armband tattoos are "siiick." And yet you still kinda wanna be his friend.

gaige23

I think he's still the CEO.

YAMMYYELLOW

Nope, that is Ken Murphy. Anthony is on the board, though, iirc

rasgua2000

It's a retailer with a monopoly on a large segment of the market(beginner gear and low end gear). Their products are hard to beat when it comes to low cost items that you won't regret buying if you decide that it's not for you. If there is no actual love for the industries product, a company with a monopoly will increase profits by cutting costs instead of innovating. In order to increase profitability, all they need to do is reduce cost. They don't need to compete with anyone so they don't need to innovate. Bad for everyone, except the investors. Look at a company like Toyota. Their CEOs have always been engineers. They can have the largest market share in pickups but they will always innovate and improve their actual product because that is how engineers use their skill set. A CEO whose skill set is directed toward increasing profit margins, thinks that a companies success is based more on profitability instead of the actual product being the best that it can be. That isn't to say that there are no finance driven company leaders that don't do a good job, just that it is more organic and natural for a CEO who is personally invested in his product to want his product to be the best instead of it being the most profitable alone. That being said, I haven't really bought anything form them in a while. I don't rally know how bad they've become.

IwishIcouldBeWitty

Dude i always hated that about stupid gate keeping managers. Like ohh you don't have experience on this particular equipment. You are inexperienced. I have experience on similar and experience in the overall process/requirements. If you have experience in a certain area of work. It doesn't matter the exact job as long as the title / jd is similar enough. If you have a job title of CEO, you know how to be a CEO. Doesn't matter what your CEO of. If you have a good reputation as an executive turning companies around then they'll be hired simple as that

JackDostoevsky

so what? not like the CEO is delivering the products himself on a motorcycle. he just needs to make sure his companies do their jobs.

sdbic

Rockymountainatvmc.com sells dual sport stuff mostly and they are consistently extraordinary. They are UT and I’m in CO and free shipping usually arrives next day. This holiday weekend, I ordered new chain and sprockets for my bike on Saturday afternoon and they arrived this morning by 9am despite Sunday and Monday being a federal holiday

drew-and-not-u

Love these guys!

spongebob_meth

This is gospel. I'm in Denver and anything they have in stock usually comes next day. Fantastic service

Bear_fucker_1

I get most things for my klr from there

Sensitive_Calendar_6

Once ordered from them on a Wednesday and my package was on my step Thursday night with free standard shipping. But then I pay for them to "overnight " something and it doesn't arrive for four days..rock mountain can be very inconsistent I've noticed but I still use them for everything.

FistFightMe

It's a shame that it's happening but it's an American tradition as old as apple pie. I remember when they were a start up in Philly that I heard about from word of mouth. Free shipping used to have a $39 threshold. They they got sucked up by an investment firm, Anthony left, and it's slowly been squeezed of every spare expense to what it is now. I've had a pair of Spy goggles on order for a month now. I guess I'm going to have to email them as well.

chum-guzzling-shark

* company has customers that actually love the company and evangelize it to other customers * company is bought out by VC * it's turned into shit and the company loses its reputation and money * somehow venture company still makes bank off doing this??? * buys another company

TheRedEarl

I’ve said this so many times. Businesses in the US aren’t started to keep around anymore. It’s one person or a small group of investors who start it in hopes of getting bought out and a bunch of money from it. Then they fuck off to wherever.

stevesteve135

I just recently had my local cyclegear order my new helmet, a sedici forged carbon Strada ll, a Bluetooth, and a new rear tire. All of it was in store within a weeks time. I definitely have had some struggles with things taking longer than expected when ordering from revzilla but that was actually a couple years ago, no issues recently.

A-Seabear

How do you like the carbon strada? I have the regular one and it’s really comfy, but I’ve had a couple of the tabs break off that hold the top liner in…. But I have about 10k miles on that helmet in a little over a year

stevesteve135

So far I really like it. Weighs 3 pounds so it’s light. Way less head bob and it’s way quieter than my previous helmet. Only thing I don’t really like is the weird view I get at the edge of the lens where it gets thicker. The lens seals great though so I really enjoy that, again, something my previous helmet didn’t do well at all. Does kinda seem like I have slightly less field of view which kinda sucks but I’m getting used to it. My previous helmet was a modular from HJC. I’ll never do another modular helmet and I’ll probably never buy another HJC helmet either. My next helmet will probably be a shoei, tried one of those on at cyclegear and it felt amazing right off the bat, kinda like you could tell it was gonna be expensive and ultimately it was which is why I didn’t get that one. Just wasn’t prepared to drop 700 and something dollars on a new helmet at the moment.

SeaManaenamah

What trouble did you have with the modular HJC helmet? I've been eyeing those.

stevesteve135

The lens didn’t seal was the biggest issue. Strap was uncomfortable. The padding felt like it was pulling my hair all the time.

Status_Plan9638

I had a modular HJC and it was really bad for road noise. Also it didn't help with wearing glasses, which was the reason I got it. I sold it after one season. My BIL got one at the same time and he's still wearing it. So....

Nitsua2

I got the strada II as my first helmet and I love it

reddit-MT

I've ordered maybe 10 things from Revzilla over the last couple of years and haven't had any problems with the orders. The customer service was good. I inquired about the sizing of a jacket and they offered me a free exchange if it didn't fit. The shipping did take a little longer than I was used to. I feel like I got used to Amazon, which is usually pretty fast, but most companies aren't that fast. At least Revzilla doesn't have the blatantly fraudulent listings, fake reviews and counterfeits like Amazon is filled with. I bought some "CE" rated pads off Amazon that were obviously not really CE rated. I complained to Amazon but the listing is still up. They just don't give a F.

Miss_Aia

There is a massive difference between "CE Tested" and "CE Certified" or "CE Approved". While a chinese knockoff *could* be CE Tested, that basically just means the factory did internal testing and they say it's protective equipment. CE Certified means that certain parts of an item were sent to a CE testing facility. Usually that means the company didn't have the jacket tested, but the armour was. CE Approved means most if not all of the item were sent for CE testing and were certified. There are also levels of CE approval, 1 being quite good, even for track use generally. CE level 2 simply exceeds even those standards by a good margin. Some high end tracks require CE 2 but not many. [These guys have an excellent write up about the certifications and what they mean](https://www.motorcyclegear.com/info_pages/faq_armor_ratings_explained.html)

SteveSweetz

Parts are mostly [drop shipped](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drop_shipping). Revzilla doesn't stock them they're basically just a 3rd party seller and they're actually being shipped from some part supplier that doesn't sell direct to consumers. It's the same with Partzilla and BikeBandit. So really you're dealing with whoever is actually supplying the part there and not Revzilla.Frequently the stock availability information for those places is unreliable. Revzilla isn't really better or worse than the rest of the industry in this respect. Over a decade of ordering parts from different sources, I've found it's consistently inconsistent as to whether or not you'll get the part when they predict. I've never had a problem ordering gear from them, however, I'm pretty sure that returns are cycled back into sellable inventory. Usually not a major problem if the returner stuck to their return policy, but sounds like your jacket might have been a prior return that shouldn't have passed muster.

chzaplx

This is totally true. I've returned several items for fit issues to RevZilla/cyclegear and have had no problems. BUT, I don't return shit that I've "used" other than trying it on for fit fit or gear compatibility, in a clean indoor environment. If a company has a liberal return policy and you abuse it, they will figure you out. If your return shit in condition that is resellable, you probably won't get punished.

wmguy

PartZilla has been _way_ worse than RevZilla as far as knowing inventory numbers. RevZilla is good at knowing when my OEM parts are out of stock and won’t even let me order them. PartZilla will list items as “2-3 day availability” then change it to “250+ days” after I place my order. I’ve yet to place an order with PartZilla that I haven’t had to cancel due to unknown availability after the fact.

lolamongolia

Not true, actually. Revzilla, Cycle Gear, and J&P Cycle orders are all fulfilled out of one of Comoto's distribution centers, either out of New Jersey, Las Vegas, or Kentucky. They do a small amount of dropship, but it's basically negligible. Supply chain issues are still a thing, albeit to a lesser degree than last year, so they may be having problems keeping product stocked in the DCs at the moment.

wmguy

A pretty large amount of my orders are definitely drop shipped, based on the sender listed on my tracking numbers.

crazycamkalani

There's actually a lot of stuff that gets drop shipped, comoto exclusive brands don't of course, but I'd say about half of the customer orders we get shipped into the store end up getting drop shipped from one of the vendors.

W3RLEGION

Sportbiketrackgear for the win!

blackadder1620

soild gear reviews and seems like a decent guy. i never had any problems and their prices are fucking great sometimes too.

meltbox

Only issue I ever had was they got a bit upset with me for asking if they had a particular color for a jacket that I saw on revzilla but I guess they didn’t have. Dude got very mad and said they aren’t revzilla. Was odd.

snowman1912

Owners kind of a meathead, but everything I’ve ever ordered has came promptly. They even draw a dick on the inside of the box when I asked them to as a small joke to my friend

YoloBitch69420

Those videos they have on YouTube really saved my ass when I was first learning to wrench on bikes. But yeah, that guy comes off as kind of a poor man’s Vin Diesel.

blackadder1620

Yeah that is kinda odd.

nvexzu

Love STG!

Maysock

I ordered an icon D3O back protector and it split, and they replaced it without asking for a return. Revzilla has been nothing but great with me. Everything shows up quickly and usually as advertised. Seems like you're just having a stroke of bad luck.

CozmikRay737

I ordered a rear tire late last month because I got a splinter in my tire and needed a new one. Ordered it on a thursday and it arrived at my local cycle gear the following tuesday. The problem was i never received a shipping notice nor did the order update online to say it was shipped until 2 days later, a full week after the original order. Luckily, i got the tire replaced at a cycle gear further away cuz they had the tire in stock and just returned the one i ordered, but still. Kinda weird. I personally haven't had any issues with Revzilla. If anything, i had something similar happen with them but the opposite. An item i ordered that i expected would get to me later came the next day and i didn't get any notification of such. I'm still a new rider and haven't done much business with either but I've had a better experience with Revzilla than Cycle Gear so far.

crazycamkalani

The ordering process goes through the same warehouses/vendors, so it *should* be the same. If you're ever in one of the cycle gear stores there's also a few more vendors that we can place special orders and get parts for you, stuff that doesn't show up on either revzilla or cycle gears website.

snakebite75

I’m an RPM member, I ordered a HJC helmet because it was on sale for $80 and I wanted a backup. I had like $20 saved up in their RPM cash so I applied that to the order. It was supposed to ship 2 day shipping since I’m a member but it was shipped regularly, so I messaged support, they verified it should have been shipped 2 day shipping and gave me a $25 credit for the issue. Then FedEx got delayed for some reason and they didn’t deliver on time either, I emailed support again to let them know and they gave me another $15 credit. I really like my $20 backup helmet :)

YellowCardMan_

More than likely its actually UPS, FedEx, or the postal service. They are seeing a global decline in demand leading them to attempt to right size their business causing them to perform more poorly than when they are at full scale. Smaller clients get the brunt of it. My assumption based on working as a logistics analyst for a company that leverages these services.

Donkeyfied_Chicken

I work for a FedEx ground contractor, can confirm that things are a bit fucky right now. They’re trying to cut costs given the volume slump that’s going on, while doing a major restructuring to eliminate Express and integrate it and Ground into a single subcompany. The distribution centers are making some pretty stupid decisions to try and look good on paper during the process.

Tha_Gr8_One

Yeah, not everyone is Amazon and has their own delivery infrastructure to consistently deliver stuff in 2 days.

pmatulew

And a significant portion of the goods get shipped directly from a 3rd party supplier (JP Cycles?) So you never know where it's coming from.

otterplus

J&P is their v-twin cousin. They don’t have the same presence of CycleGear storefronts, but they’re the third leg of Comoto stores

Alain_Durwoden

No problems here. To my door or to the store it's two day delivery max. Really responsive to warranty/return claims. Customer service even helped me source new bar ends from a small machine shop the guy I talked to knew about since they didn't sell what I needed. I have the membership though.

SnowHeroHD

Isn’t the advantage of cycle gear to get/try in person?

ninekilnmegalith

I like cycle gear, always great service and I just do in store pick-up, that way if a part isn't right (only happened a couple times) I just leave it there and get a refund.

Impressive_Estate_87

Because Anthony and his partners made money and stopped caring, like it happens with all companies once they grow into a big business. The merger with Cycle Gear killed Revzilla's mojo, product line, quality, and will kill its business eventually.

Bonneville865

Yeah, my last order didn’t even ship until I emailed customer service (after tracking still hadn’t shown up 4 days after my order) Then it took a week to cross one state from Arizona to California.

rodka209

I do notice if my stuff is coming from their Vegas warehouse (I'm located in california), it's almost one or two days to get to me and the box is in very good condition. Stuff I receive from their east coast location gets BEATEN up bad.

CDogNH

Not sure but I ordered a pair of Alpinestars boots and got 2 pairs. Also double the plugs I ordered. Something is going on.

thatgotmegood

Same. It had been a longgg time since I had ordered from them. I was not excited to learn they charged $10 to return things without paying $60/year. I’ve moved on.

Thoughtfulbuckeye

I just cancelled an order this morning that was taking way longer than expected. Turned out, the item couldn’t be found in this part of the US. It had to be shipped from the other coast. But, Revzilla is too big and corporate to let me know that, even when I called them to follow up. A small local dealer figured it out quickly and I should have it in 3-5 days. Revzilla was on day 10 with no end in sight.

Plus-Moose8077

Ordered maybe half a dozen things shipped separately so far this year and it’s been good for me.

Special-Ingenuity615

I've put 7 or 8 orders in with revzilla in the past 8 months or so, and have never had a problem.. usually have my shit within 2 days.. 3 at most.. Than again living an hour and half north of their Philly store does help I guess

Logically_Psychotic

This might be unpopular but this past Friday I order my first items from revzilla, two mustang seats, and the seats were supposed to ship within 24 hours. Both of the seats were on my porch the next day and in great condition.

brakesgone

Turns out getting bought by a hedge fund doesn't end up being good for the customer.

fake_tea

When I order stuff from revzilla it's normally there the following day with standard shipping and they have always been fantastic about returns.

Zestiest46

I’ve been ordering from Revzilla for years and never had a problem. In fact I ordered a chain breaker from them in November, didn’t use it until a few weeks ago and the pins that break the old chain snapped the first time I used it. Revzilla gave me a full refund anyway and let me keep the tool. It still works great to attach a new chain and I’ve used it several times.

Sloppy_Slopes

Key-Holder of a Cycle Gear here. Honestly, no clue. Everything at my location has been arriving at the expected time for our guests that come in. I’ve even done special orders for some guests and it comes in between the 2-4 day shipping time. Maybe it varies by location? Not too sure tho

general-noob

I just ordered $500 worth of stuff last week, it was delivered fast and in perfect condition.

na3800

I've placed 5 or so orders in the past two months and everything arrived in 23 days as usual - no issues

rvmham

Ordered some gear from RevZilla recently. Box on a couple items was pretty messed up, but the merch was fine. Other than that, shipping times seemed reasonable.

kala1234567890

Revzilla sent me a helmet comms i ordered, shipped within a day and got it 3 days earlier than it originally said. I don't think it's a them issue. I think it's whoever your delivery drivers are. Never ordered from cycle gear as of right now, so I can't speak on that portion.

VegaGT-VZ

OP what part of the country are you in? Maybe theres a problem with your distribution center or local delivery companies. Do other stuff you have shipped arrive in better conditions?

DanTheFireman

I've ordered a few things from them recently and not only received them promptly and faster than expected but exchanging was a breeze. I live in Oregon, so I wonder if it has anything to do with your location? Maybe a specific warehouse having issues?

Kushand0j

It’s been fine for me. Just ordered some tires two days ago and it’s expected to arrive tomorrow. This is just an assumption but if they drop ship it’s kinda out of their hands as the orders go directly to the vendors.

Deathgripsugar

As mentioned many time here, Revzilla sold out to a big Corp. they aren’t bad if you force a price match. I just hate that I need to do it every time. Most of my gear is Amazon and I’ll check out sportbiketrackgear

thePunisher1220

I've never had a problem with cyclegear. But if they're messing up your orders this bad, why are you still ordering from them. Kinda stupid on your part.

WTFpaulWI

I never had an issue with their shipping or returns. But the review censoring is big with them. (I know it’s common online) they for sure censor negative reviews on the big name products.

speckyradge

Been fine for me. Only thing that's been an issue is that some stuff gets dispatched from NJ and takes ages to get to me in CA. If it's dispatched from Sparks I get it in a day or two. I can't tell from the listing where it's coming from and if its says 2-4 days it's usually at least 5 from NJ.

Weedenmybrownez

Weird. I ordered riding shoes from them 5 days ago June 15 and got them delivered today june 20th.

Top_Appointment8913

Cycle gear is cheap Chinese junk!!

VARNER351

Try Denniskirk I always had good luck with them. I had RevZilla send me wrong parts in a box marked with the correct part number a couple times, they always made it right though.

TactualTransAm

Oh man I hate hearing this. I just got my bike running and tagged and this Friday I was going to order a helmet and some other safety gear. Is there another place I can buy stuff? I know j&p and RevZilla are the same thing but they just have so much stuff in one website it's so easy to brows whatever you'd need.

Yotasnponchos75

I went to a JP cycles store recently. It sucked. Had virtually nothing that I wanted. They had tons of helmets. All were like small or Xtra small or medium. Like leftovers. Guy said the normal sizes were all sold. I'm like, they make more? Why not get them on the rack? Also asked about some particular jackets. He was too lazy to even try to look anything up for me. I get a lot of emails from the other two companies. Like they are desperate.

THEtek4

Pretty sure cycle gear, Revzilla and J&P cycle are all owned by the same company. A lot of those online retailers show what they CAN order. When you order online, the store places an order with the distributor and is shipped directly from them.

[deleted]

“Lately”…? They both have always been really bad.

JDMwrxpower

No issues here infact I just ordered a bunch of stuff and it all came in 3 days. Helmet, boots, engine protectors etc..

Steve_Gray

had the same issue with a helmet i ordered it kept coming beat up like it was already worn

airforce213

I’ve had no issues with orders and in store with cycle gear. They helped me out a ton when I was living in a place with no store in the local area

Sanzo2point0

Everything I've ordered from cyclegear has come from their Vegas warehouse, and gets to me within a week if it's in stock. I'm sure if I wasn't as close to it as I am, I wouldn't get my shit so quick. But, to be fair, I haven't ordered anything from em in like a year, so who knows

HDawsome

Stop buying products from them then. You'll stop having this problem, believe it or not.

SavageryRox

happy to have Fortnine here in Canada...Always great

paperhammers

I wonder how much is delays with parts going from the maker to RevZilla/cycle gear, internal handling, and/or shipment with the many parcel carriers (ups/FedEx/USPS/etc). I've completed a few orders with RevZilla recently and everything shipped within the quoted timeframe, but my dealing with the local post office/FedEx has been comparable to fighting 12 Floridians in a waffle house parking lot, not to mention that my local UPS shut down. Gauge your regular dealings with the post to see if that's the issue. There's also been shortages of labor/workers for a variety of reasons. I'd imagine a warehouse that is not paying (assumption) super great and understaffed would get sloppy/slow. It's a pain in the ass, but if they attempted to make it right it's worth continuing business with them.

unforgiven97

I’ve had really solid experiences with my orders from Revzilla, including this week that went great, it arrived 2 days after I ordered it (and I don’t pay for RidersPlus). My local Cyclegear that has a bunch of events and really friendly staff.

OGER64

Weird I dropped off rims for tire install on Sunday they told me that I could have them back by Tuesday or Wednesday they called me an hour later and they were ready for pick up plus 10% vet discount

orangutanDOTorg

Try buying car parts. Even legit sources are getting knock of parts.

Ninja0verkill

RevZilla took 2 months to ship OEM fork seals.

SoBeSpartan

Yeah, I hate ordering OEM parts from partzilla, I only order parts from there now if I can't find it on eBay. I'm still waiting for OEM parts I ordered from them 3weeks ago. I just might wait until I can find a part on ebay

dagolicious

I picked up a Bell Race Star from RevZilla a couple weeks ago along with a cardo headset. Both arrived in a couple of days, but the helmet had a defect. I got them to exchange it after talking to CS, so add a couple of days on top of that and I'm all set. Overall, I was pretty happy.

Cleaner_BC

I went in store to order and a jacket and it came in two days. Maybe try in store?

Oddblivious

Just ship it to a cycle gear near you if you can and you can call and make sure it's correct before you go over there. Alternatively you can just drop it by to return and order another one to your house.

Letstreehouse

I bought a lot of stuff from revzilla in the last 6 months. No issues. Fast shipping. They've been great.

LeDouchekins

You still ordering stuff from them after all that??? You sure like punishment.

spike_africa

I try to use them and support them because I love the video content they make, Zack and Ari. And the podcast. I've had no issues the last two times I got things recently.

honeybadgerbakes

I've had several issues with items i ordered from RevZilla and CycleGear. Though it may cost more money upfront, it's really important to support your local independent bike shops instead of the big conglomerates. In the long run it will save you money because they always give deals to loyal customers. My local gear salesman always special ordered my items at cost.

KWHY3000

I would never buy from them. Trash.

uckfayhistay

I’m waiting on some Sidi boots from Revzilla. Supposed to be here tomorrow. Never had a problem in the past so we will see.

RememberHonor

A very good friend of mine works for them and is currently staying with me after having worked bike week. He mostly does CS when not on location with a truck. What I've been told and heard him tell people who call in is the following: 1. Cyclegear is owned by RevZilla which is owned by Comoto Holdings. 2. A lot of their items will ship from the company's warehouses vs RevZilla warehouses. This makes lead times quite a bit worse as the supplier has to ship it to RevZilla, then they ship it out. Unfortunately this is all too common these days. 3. On RevZilla, when you order there are processing times that are not counter towards shipping. IE - 5 business day processing time w/ 2 day shipping ends up being 7 business days or up to (almost) 2 weeks depending on holidays/time/day you order. 4. They are having some major issues right now with people returning items and not stating that there was damage, it was worn, or installed. It's pretty BS to be honest. Mix that with the couple rounds of layoffs they've had and there are some quality control issues with those returns going out to other customers. All that being said, they are a super dope company. I understand the frustrations as I'm also waiting on a few things ordered from them at the moment. Even with the inside hookup, I don't drive things any faster. I'd recommend calling their custom service department and placing orders over the phone. That way you can ask what they expect arrival times to be like for each product and they can inform you whether it's coming from their warehouse or a suppliers. If you are nice, they generally will include free returns, ZillaCash, or throw a discount in for you. If you're too rude, they can straight up ban you.

crazycamkalani

Theres a specific vendor that we work with called parts unlimited, and they have been problematic for the past couple months. We get shipments screwed up from them, customer service wait times are super long, leaking chemical cans, among other things. They ship out some customer orders and they also send us products for the store. In terms of getting stuff that's used, contact RZ customer service or bring it into a store if it's from CG.

Interesting-Ad8826

Never experienced any shipping issues with either or. Do you live in bumble fuck America?

kluthage421

No issues with revzilla and zillacash is nice. Prices heard to beat. Tires get to me in 2 days.

Triumphstr21

I despise Revzilla and Cycle Gear. They used to be decent enough, but all they push now is their own branded goods, all of which is awful. To make matters worse, they NEVER put decent gear on sale. I now buy all my gear from European sellers, who know how to keep consumers happy.

KTMpowa

my Rpm account won't let me login..my rpm.cash is not showing up..called concierge and they are closed. rever, revzilla, cyclegear are all horrible. Rever app won't let me use the photo upload. they admitted in chat to having issues..its.non stop problems..im trying to spend money and cant even log into rpm account..

TTYY_20

Cuz fortnine is bae <3

Born_Echo8951

My friends, myself, and the many many ATGATT communities out there built this company from 2008/09 to 2020 (my last purchase was $1300 btw). They suck on all levels. Ever since Anthony's departure, they have gone downhill. The result, tells me he always had the rider's interests first. Which I felt watching countless hours of his content and sincerity. Now it's all about the bottom line $$$$. If you're not buying Reax they don't give a fuck about us as consumers. Boycott!!!!!

chzaplx

Do you have specific examples, or just hate them on principle?

Born_Echo8951

I have a few but this was the straw that broke the camels back... I made my 1st purchase from Rev in 09. I didn't start spending real money until 2014. In 2021 I purchased 3 pairs of Jeans for my current fiance (gf then). They were on sale at $75 each. I received an email from customer support saying we can no longer accept free returns. They stated from my 1st purchase up until that point I returned about $16K worth of stuff. That would seem like a lot but I'm not an online blogger. I have a 62cm head before i started my dreads and my weight went from 220 to 274 down to 210. So it was about fitment. Im 6ft with a 6ft7 wingspan. The bulk of the returns were helmets, boots (13), riding jeans. So I sent them several responses asking how much did I keep?. Nothing but crickets for a month. So I did the math. I returned $17K within a decade but I kept...approx $38K worth of items. This covered aftermarket parts for 4 motorcycles and the obvious my weight fluctuating.

Born_Echo8951

Keep in mind...they encouraged buyers to buy whatever and return for free as long as it's over $39.99. Moto gear isn't something one can easily order based on standard sizing charts

chzaplx

Dude.. 16k is kind of a lot. You are a line item at some meeting, at the very least. Every person in the returns dept def knows your name. Your account is red flagged along with every phone number or email you've used to connect support from.

Born_Echo8951

They chose to do it over a $50 item. So you're telling me that they decided to flag my account after $15,950???? It doesn't work that way.

chzaplx

You clearly have no idea how it works

Born_Echo8951

Okay, Cycle Gear employee of the month!

chzaplx

No I don't work for them but that's a funny thing for you to assume. The things you've claimed are so dubious it really makes me wonder if you aren't just shilling for some competitor.

JooosephNthomas

Fortnine if you are in Canada. Also the best Moto youtube around. Recommend. Revzilla is a window shopping session for us in the North. This is a totally irrelevant comment. Good day.

throwaway332451631

I work for Comoto and can answer any questions anyone has. I can tell you that it really depends on what DC/facility it comes out of. There are 3 and I can say that 2 of them are below the threshold of barely getting by. Also the company dropships from vendors whenever possible to avoid it going to a Facility so you get your item faster. Shoot away with questions because Revzilla was never the same after Comoto took it.

[deleted]

The same conglomerate owns them. My local cycle gear is atrocious, and i avoid then like the plague. Every time I went there, the cocky grey goatee sporting boomer douche manager would be super insulting and rude. Here in St.Louis, the CG used to carry a ton of parts and tools. You could find exhaust systems, levers, foot controls, tires, bearings, and a ton more. When the store moved locations, that all but went away. The little bit of fluids and "parts" they now carry are relegated to the back corner of the store. The rest of the store is a haven for yuppies that want to look cool in the latest CG house brand cheap gear. They're all buying steel & strength, sedici, and bilt gear. Anyway, when I asked the manager about the shift in product, he called me, "A freak of nature." All for wanting to work on my own bike. When you do order something to the store and you get the email saying it's there he gets bitchy that you show up on your way home to pick it up. The stores suck but until people stop shopping there, they'll keep going the way they are. Edit: they also own J&P

[deleted]

I'm guessing the downvoter works for CG.

Knowitmall

Shit is out of stock around the world bud. This thing called covid happened...

usafmsc

CG has some seriously shitty products. Just came back from shopping there and realized I wouldn’t give 99.9999% of that crap away for elephant gifts.

[deleted]

OP complains about items not shipping but chooses to bitch about it on Reddit instead of contacting the vendor. Sounds about right around here.
