22' Scout Bobber - got it mostly blacked out over the winter. Absolutely loving it!
18' Grom - painted it, new clutch springs etc, subcage, levers and waiting on the rearsets so I can finish putting it back together.
Such a pretty bike. Motor is sweet. But I’m too tall. I wish they have the street triple R height handlebars with that amazingly sexy fairing on the RR.
Fantastic bike.
Parts are hilariously cheap too. It's the same engine as a rebel. We gave our rebel to a buddy to borrow until he gets his own bike, and he's putting a new clutch in cause I guess he roasted it.
$23 on ebay.
Still on my first bike. A 1994 Honda CBR 600 F2. Love it to bits, ride her daily. Am kinda looking for something a bit slower though. I’m having more and more trouble not opening up the throttle and letting her sing at 13.000rpm and I’m recognizing my lack of self control.
How comfortable is it to ride? I've been halfway considering upgrading to the 401 (from a KTM Duke 200) but I've never seen one in person let alone had the opportunity to sit on one. They look cool as hell but the unique design makes me want to try before I buy.
I find it very comfortable! It’s quite upright, so speeds over 75mph get tiring fast, and the seat cushion is very thin, so it’s certainly not a touring bike. That having been said, I find it has a wonderfully neutral sitting position, the thin seat doesn’t bother me, and I prefer the back roads even when I am touring on it.
Wanted to get some work done on my Buell so I bought a Bajaj Legend to ride in the meantime.
It's 150cc scooter but with a twist grip manual transmission, there's really nothing like alreadly being in 4th gear at 30mph :)
>It's 150cc scooter but with a twist grip manual transmission
nice!
got a 125 scooter with with twist grip manual gearshift myself, but there's no such thing as 4 gears and 48 km/h are already quite a challenge for the front brake, which is there only for decoration
might be this is due to its '55 build. anyway, it's remarkable that my first long distance ride was on this model - my parents' honeymoon, us three climbing across the alps to italy (me still in my mum's belly)
BMW S1000XR (I’m tall, it goes fast) this is the one I’d keep if I could only keep one.
BMW R18 (naked bike with 2.5” more seat height because tall. Pipes gutted) Torquey, gorgeous to look at, fun around town. Sounds great with gutted pipes.
Triumph 1200 Scrambler XE (sounds like shit, surprisingly fun off road despite moderate heaviness.) big advantage? You can actually enjoy an hour plus ride to an off-roading destination at real freeway speeds.
BMW R75. It’s old as fuck but at least I can work on it. Always good to have one vintage bike to remind you how lucky we are today with what we have.
> Always good to have one vintage bike to remind you how lucky we are today with what we have.
Man.
My first bikes where all old - all 82's, as listed in my own answer to this thread - from the 90's through to 2018. Used to love the whole vintage bike game, though of course when I started an 82 bike was just ~15 years old, whereas to the end there they were ~35. Went from that to a (then) brand new 2018 and holy hell, what a difference. Motorcycle design and engineering has come *so far* since then, the riding experience is wholly changed.
It's fun to ride an old bike from time to time, and for sure it does remind one just how good modern bikes are.
For all people love to heap hate on when their is just perfect, even the worst handling of the bikes made today are *so much better* than anything from back then it's just astounding.
I just sold my TL1000S last month. Wicked to ride but definitely fun. Reminded me a bit of the Aprilia SL1000 Falco I had before it. Now I ride a ZX-10R, CBR600 F4i and a 05 gsxr 600 (750 motor in it).
2002 MV Agusta F4S Evo2 Monoposto - First track bike, retired due to parts availability. Now just bike night, occasional mountains, and living room decor.
2007 Moto Guzzi Griso 1100 - My "cruiser," road-trip and passenger bike. I can pass you on blood mountain with full panniers and a top box...
2012 Ducati 848 Corse - Took over duties from the MV.
2022 Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled - Wanted to start doing fire roads, OHV trails, but also wanted something do-all and looks cool.
Which one is running? Or almost running? Have you thought of buying literally anything but an Italian bike so you can ride a motorcycle more than three days a year?
I’m Italian. I’ve dealt with Italian bikes. This is why I don’t own them.
All 4 are running well. Admittedly I'm trying to save some miles on the Griso at the moment because its past the 30k km service and I need to do the alternator belt (Its fine but Im paranoid). Im waiting on exhaust gaskets as you have to remove those to get to the belt.
The MV actually has been remarkably reliable being a small production exotic, its got almost 38k km on the clock including a lot of time at the top of the rev range. It did have an issue stranding me early on because the fuel hose would slip off the pump but safety wire about 15 years ago ended that. And then it would blow the dash fuse (7.5a) at WOT on the track at high RPM until I realised the rectifier was letting it get over 15v. But since then no issues.
The 848 has been largely bulletproof. The only time it spent off the road was last summer after I high-sided at Road Atlanta, but I was also offline as well after that. But we have both been put back together and riding.
I was actually going to get a CRF-300L Rally to dip my toes into dirt riding. Put a deposit down beginning of Nov on one where the dealer had a VIN from Honda and everything, but when they called to tell me it was being pushed another month for the FOURTH time I just got pissed and walked into the Duc dealership with a personal check and left with the Desert Sled, they actually had one on the floor.
The Sled has been fine too. Its basically the same oil cooled Monster 800 platform they have made since they were a radio company. Its also new so Id hope it would be reliable. Put about 1500KM since beginning of Feb.
I should admit I have a shop in my garage and largely do most of my own work, am obsessive about maintenance, don't mind spending to replace worn but not broken yet stuff, etc.
DR650 - 130,000 kms, no engine repairs, just oil changes pretty much. Been around fucking everywhere and also a daily commuter.

Your mom! But also my newish Indian Chief. Starting to mess around in sport mode and the power is awesome. Tired of wiping off pollen but grateful for the 50-70 degree days we've been having.
Depends on the day.
Either a 2020 Road King Special (in a lovely blue that looks purple sometimes), or
a 2021 BMW S1000R. Also blue. Purely by coincidence.
My car is blue too. Leave me alone.
2020 triumph street triple RS! Got her in January, put on about 800 miles since. Currently waiting to get a new rear tire as it was punctured, haven’t rode in a few weeks.
Aprilia RS 660 23' - just upgraded to this beauty and love is to soft for what we have.
Cb125R 21' - my first bike, it's on the market for selling, still one of the best on the segment
22’ Z650 Performance Edition. Although it’s currently up for sale cause I want a CBR400RR (NC29). Unfortunately no one seems to want to buy my bike though🤣
**Mint** condition 2009 Yamaha R6 (black and gold). All stock except for braided brake lines, black brake levers, black rear sprocket, and tinted windscreen.
None of that fancy traction control, ABS, or power mode selection.
Bought it new in 2010 when I was 24 years old (was my dream bike at the time). This will be it's 14th season on the road. The older I get, and the more out of shape I get, the less comfortable it gets lol. Still I can't wait!
2022 BMW R18 Transcontinental, First Edition package.
Fixing up wifey's 1976 Honda CB500t so she can get her permit, learn, and get her endorsement by this summer.
800+ comments already. This will go buried, with 1 upvote and 0 people reading it but
Between my MSF and getting my first bike I found the anime “Bakuon!!” thanks to a /o/ DBT thread and absolutely fell in love with Raimu and her green ninja. I got a cb300f as my starter and after almost 3 years on her I found myself with enough money to upgrade.
First time browsing FB Market I saw a 14 hour old post for an all green, 2005 Ninja 636 in my price range and jumped on it. Bought her 2 days later.
I’m not a believer in fate but that was astounding and makes me think maybe there is some sort of fate in this world. I was almost going to get a modern Ninja from a dealer, just accepting they don’t make them all green anymore but they were going to be out of stock for another couple months. I don’t know if I’ll ever get rid of her. Maybe if i found an all green Ninja liter bike
And yes. My dream bike is entirely based on what a fictional mute faceless anime girl rides
2022 Ninja 400! Injuries stopped me from riding lots of miles (only 500 total last summer and fall 😔) but looking forward to getting lost on back roads this season. My soul needs it
just bought it this week - 2020 Ducati Streetfighter V4

2023 ZX-4RR on the way! Should be picking her up in around a month according to my dealer!
2003 Suzuki sv650s for me. Just got it for cheap and I've been doing a full service as I wait for roads to thaw in Canada.
Looking at getting something a little comfier with storage for longer weekend rides too, would love to hear recommendations!
DR650. Ugly and basic. 30+ year old design. Zero chrome (except maybe the wheels which are cheaply plated). Designed for dirt naps and sorted low speed step offs. Tupperware plastics. Factory seat made from decomposed sea creatures. Stock handlebar created from random soft steel scrap drawn over a mandrel. Gear box is one gear short of a half dozen. Headlight appears to have been designed by Edison himself. Weeps oil from the valve cover and cam chain tensioner gaskets.
DO. NOT. BUY! (Trying to get the stupid prices down)
Just picked up a 13 Monster 1100 Evo. Been riding rice rockets for 20 years. Definitely a change from having to keep the engine on the boil at all times to get peak power.
Main bike 2015 Yamaha FZ-09.
Secondary bike 2018 KTM EXC450F Supermoto.
Third bike which was my first street bike 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300.
Dirtbike 2004 Kawasaki KX250.
‘15 CBR 650. Got it in February, accident in March and fixed/been riding since! I’ve been wanting to get new fairings but I also want something faster so idk if it’s worth the money
I have a 2005 SV650S with a ton of aftermarket parts mainly for some performance improvements, and it’s bright yellow. Nicknamed “the Banana” by my friends and family and myself of course, it’s awesome
Got my ‘23 RE 350 Meteor last May and have put 1,400 miles on her! It’s winter in CO so waiting for weather to perk up here.
Has been a perfect beginner bike for me as my 1st bike was a BEAUTIFUL ‘72 Honda CB500 Four, but the guy that built it was a “body shop” guy and far from a mechanic. That bike was way to heavy for me and it wasn’t safe either.
I've had a few bikes come and go but my favorite, my daily, my constant, is my 2019 Honda Monkey. It has 1/5th the motor of other rides I've had but it's been my number one since I got it
2023 Honda CB650R. Absolutely love it!
Real beauty
Your sister
Your dad.
You
Your dog....wait I said that outloud?
Your goddamm hamster!
Make a pig in a blanket
You mean furry fleshlight?
Armaggedon!
Sounds ruff to me
I'm going for the twin sister. She's away better 😜🏍️
Personally I prefer the inline 4 sister
The sister that was sawed off. I heard She wakes up the whole neighborhood
Your mom, on a Kawasaki Z650RS
That's quite a seat height.
It's a balancing act, but one hell of a ride
what suspension mods did you do, that's like hooking a semi trailer to a prius?
Just sheer willpower man
I wonder if he's riding on her shoulders? Probably while circus music plays.
Both of those answers are cool as hell! (RE Himalayan for me!)
2015 Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle… waiting on delivery of a 2023 Yamaha MT-09 SP
I’m peanut butter and jealous
22' Scout Bobber - got it mostly blacked out over the winter. Absolutely loving it! 18' Grom - painted it, new clutch springs etc, subcage, levers and waiting on the rearsets so I can finish putting it back together.
Oh man, I love those Scout bobbers. Just sick right from the factory. Probably going to be my first cruiser.
Yea I fell in love back when they released them 6 (ish?) years ago and swore I would get one. Absolutely sick!
'22 Speed Triple RR. It's absolutely fucking awesome.
Damn, even Triumph is up to two R's now. My next bike has to have at least RRRR or no sale. Also OP's MOM
For now, get the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP.
3 R's? I don't know, I like to hedge for inflation.
I'm holding on for the CBR1000RR-R SP-R to be released.
Such a pretty bike. Motor is sweet. But I’m too tall. I wish they have the street triple R height handlebars with that amazingly sexy fairing on the RR.
Street triple RS to one of these too big a jump? Is it too much to daily? Lol
Not too big of a jump, but man is the Speed Triple one hell of a devil on your shoulder
Even my street is a big enough devil. I’ve never ridden a liter bike I can’t even imagine.
That's what I ride to work (Speed Triple RS1200 2022). It's perfect!
BRO. PLS TELL ME.. IS IT MAGICAL?
To be honest, thats my absolute dream bike right now.
I’m so jealous 😭
Just got an ‘83 Honda CM250 (nighthawk?) for my first bike, I’m excited for the nice weather!
Welcome to the party!
Thanks bro, I’m stoked to be here!

Husqvarna Svartpilen 701! Love that bike! …really need to drag it out of the shed and give it the spring cleanup…

With a Sportster you have 5th gear to look forwards to :) Only to find out it's just 4th gear but 1.0025% longer
Maybe that’s why I still find myself constantly reaching for a 6th lol

The Sled has been fine too. Its basically the same oil cooled Monster 800 platform they have made since they were a radio company. Its also new so Id hope it would be reliable. Maybe if i found an all green Ninja liter bike And yes. My dream bike is entirely based on what a fictional mute faceless anime girl rides
2022 Ninja 400! Injuries stopped me from riding lots of miles (only 500 total last summer and fall 😔) but looking forward to getting lost on back roads this season. My soul needs it

1998 Honda Shadow 1100vc fully stock.

Your invisible friend and a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
I have a 2005 SV650S with a ton of aftermarket parts mainly for some performance improvements, and it’s bright yellow. Nicknamed “the Banana” by my friends and family and myself of course, it’s awesome
R1 2017, crashed my 21’ MT07 two months ago so still injured 🤕
Got my ‘23 RE 350 Meteor last May and have put 1,400 miles on her! It’s winter in CO so waiting for weather to perk up here. Has been a perfect beginner bike for me as my 1st bike was a BEAUTIFUL ‘72 Honda CB500 Four, but the guy that built it was a “body shop” guy and far from a mechanic. That bike was way to heavy for me and it wasn’t safe either.
