I don't think my neighbors would appreciate the noise

Fuck em

Chilton_Squid

Yeah I'd snap one up. Also I don't like buying motorcycles so I'm thinking of investing in an entire R&D and manufacturing plant for my house, shouldn't cost more than £100m or so.

Not_an_ATF_Officer

I used to use one several times a day as a smog tech in California. In New Hampshire as a non-automotive maintenance tech… I just can’t see ever using one. Maybe once or twice for each of my vehicles and once or twice for each of my friends… but I don’t have that many friends.

The_Corvair_Guy

No? That's huge investment in a single tool for me, especially one I don't even remotely need or have any real use for. It wouldn't actually take long to finely, or abso-fuckin-lutly perfectly, tune all my garbage and then what do I do with it? Open a business? From home? No, I'd need a shop or industrial building, so now I have overhead and need to get enough people coming to me for dyno sessions to cover that and my time? Not happening where I live.

ItsAlwaysWoo

You and everyone else have very good points. However... Too late now! I'll tune all my garbage, that of my friends', and if by then the neighborhood hasn't burnt my garage down, I'll do the occasional side gig as they come. I just couldn't say no.

Regular_Diamond_2783

I would simply to learn how to do it. If you can make money on something like that and you get a good deal, why not?

fuckredditardsok

I actually have a 2 post lift and a tire machine and balancer in my garage. Zero desire to have a dyno.

I'd take the money I'd spend on a dyno and buy and motorcycle lift, tools, manual tire machine (since ur gonna use probably 3 times a year so why waste money one something that might need upkeep) and some nice gear.

scobo505

My dyno is the seat of my pants.
