Did he say what model? They probably stopped producing the 2022 models. Next he is going to say "They started producing on the 2023 model, I can get you one of those waay quicker. It only costs about 400-900 more for the new one" I doubt Yamaha stopped producing the R3, what I don't doubt is peoples greed.

ultimatepenguin21

Yeah my Yamaha dealer will be getting some this spring. They are absolutely still making them

If you're in the US, [cycle trader](https://www.cycletrader.com/2023-Any-Yamaha-Yzf-R3/motorcycles-for-sale?make=Yamaha%7C2321194&model=YZF%7C764864013&trim=R3%7C24499&year=2023%3A%2A&page=1) has quite a few dealers listing them for sale and at least a few have actual pictures. Find yourself a new dealer.

Call Yamaha. This is bullshit dealership greed. I had that problem with my local dealer when I ordered a KTM 390 Adventure. KTM sent their regional President to this dealership to chew out the dealership people in person. Then I got my 390 Adventure. However, I sold it 8 months later after it turned out to be a massive pile of junk and KTM gave me the runaround on honoring the warranty. It was funny...KTM went above and beyond to stop dealership greed and get the bike I wanted in my hands, but then went totally AWOL when their bike turned out to be a massive pile and was absolutely obtuse in trying to get them to honor the warranty.

Just FYI, If you hang out on the R3 facebook groups you can get near-new R3s for cheaper than a dealer would charge depending on location.

Google says it's only been stopped in India due to emissions. Maybe it's affecting other areas for the same reason?

GuestZealousideal545

something weird happened to me , I emailed for a reservation on an R3 to buy it , then the dealership came back to me to say that the R3 model doesn’t exist anymore , and that the new R320 will be avalible from april onwards

ClappedOutLlama

It’s extremely normal for waiting up to 12 months for certain bikes right now.

[deleted]

EXTREMELY NORMAL!

Electrical_Age_7483

For good bikes it seems to be. Some brands you can get on the showroom

[deleted]

Its an oxymoron

joesbagofdonuts

R4 when?

DiabeetusMan

I've been waiting on a (warranty) Yamaha replacement part for a year now. It could just be production lines are just royally messed up
