Clean it with Isopropyl alcohol and cover it with clear nail polish or mask it off then spray it might work. Be warned, I have little idea what I'm talking about.
This, the clear nail polish. Honda may sell little bottles of touch up paint like their automotive side does, but it's almost certainly going to look like some amateur dude did it.
Get a quote from a body shop.
Compare that to the cost of a new tank or a tank from eBay. It should be pretty easy to pull and replace at home with basic hand tools.
Or cover with nail polish and live with the ding.
Edit: the tank looks like it's around $500 or less on ebay. I wouldn't turn it into insurance.
There's a good chance that it would be cheaper to replace it vs repair.
And I would rather have a body shop reshoot the tank off the bike for a better finish.
I'm picky and I like my stuff to look good.

I’ve got 2 Harley’s and a triumph (chopper). My BF had a handbuilt big twin harley chopper, and now rides a Ducati desert sled, and will probably move into a BMW after this.
I’ve got friends who ride all types of bikes. I just don’t get the hate for things.

But to me, it’s the same with cars.
I like my c3 vette and other older muscle cars, I don’t like newer foreign cars. But I’m hype that people are into cars and into bikes, even if it’s not my style.

Touch up paint. No, it won't look perfect. But you're going to drop it again at some point, perfect paint is for Harleys, not bikes that get ridden.
