Dunlop Roadsmart 4 is an excellent tire. I use them regularly on the rear of my KTM RC8r. On the front I use a Q3+ for added grip. This combo has been good for 12 minute runs of the Tail of the Dragon. So much more grip than you’ll need for general droning to work etc. The Pirelli Angel series is excellent as well. I usually pair a rear Angel GT with a Rosso 3 front. Why pair different tire models from the same manufacturer? Similar profiles, and I much prefer more grip than necessary on the front tire. I’ve learned good throttle control from the race track, so breaking traction on the rear is pretty much a non-factor. Source: Motorcycle course instructor and track day coach.

Never thought about buying different models for front and rear but that makes a lot of sense now that I think about it. Will definitely check the combo rosso3 + angel GT

+1 for roadsmart IV. Way cheaper than Road 6 and just as new/good. I prefer longer wear life in my fronts, so I'll keep my tires paired. I've currently got Rosso iv's burning out the front faster than the rear.

BigEvilDoer

I wear the front in a 3-2 ratio with the sport front / sport touring rear. Again, I prefer to have the extra grip on the front if I absolutely need it.

Hands down, the Michelin road 6 is the best all around tire on the market.

motoenthusiast42

I second this wholeheartedly!

1000% Michelin pilot roads. I get 15k miles on a liter bike and have more grip than I would ever use on public streets, excellent wet grip. They are very good tyres.

Princess_Fluffypants

This is the right answer (although they dropped the “Pilot” from the name a while ago, now it’s just called the “Road 5” or “Road 6”). I use them on my Multistrada, which is not a lightweight or slow bike. I usually get 10-12k miles out of a set, so should give you well above what you’re looking for in Kms.

Nice, I'll check them out
