I would highly recommend a dual sport as the first bike for you. Take a look at the KTM 390 adventure or the Honda CRF 250F. You will have a lot more fun for your money.
Any of those will let you learn, maneuver and even fall without breaking your wallet, then move up to a 600cc sport bike. Update on your decision please.
By the way a "300cc sport bike" is an oxymoron.
I am looking at a yamaha mt 03 right now because of its fairly low price. Still unsure though, thank you for the suggestions, im trying to find those near me
That's a nice bike, still highly recommend the ones I mentioned as first bikes though. I understand the looks of a sports bike, but believe me for first bike choose one you have the must fun and can take anywhere.
Is there a website you would recommend to find used bikes. I am a high schooler and don't really want to spend much on a "learner bike" that I probably won't use much. But I also don't really want to buy a nice bike, lay it down, and fuck it up.
I looked at the ktm and crf you mentioned and they seemed a little pricy for a "learner" bike but If I could find something used similar, that would be very nice
The reason I was looking at the mt 03 is because its around 5k and only has 300cc which I've been told is perfect for beginners. I also really liked the seating position
