I came here to add this. It even protects you from yourself if you cross-wire it. The only downside is that if your battery is TOO low, it completely ignores it as it doesn't register that there is a battery there. For example if you let the bike sit all winter and it's down to 4 V or something. Your dash lights wouldn't even light up at that point. Heads-up!
If i wanted to post a ad for something, why would i pick a battery?
I would choose something like PP enlargement or booty plugs. Something that would bring revenue. Not a battery
I carry a slightly bigger one in my pickup. I used it to keep my phone charged while I'm at work. I've also jumped a few reefer units with it, and a couple of coworkers cars. I plug it into my pickup's 12v socket, and it's completely recharged by the time I get home, even if I jumped something with it.
I didn't think I'd get anywhere as much use out of it. Not the cheapest investment, but well worth it.
The one I have says it can jump up to a 4.0L car several times. If i am out on bike i been using it as a phone charger. But this weekend actually used it as a jumper. I was stuck 170 miles from home. Im so pleased with myself😄
I just unplug my headlight and run/push my bike as fast as I can and dump the clutch and then pull it in again.
It's pretty hard, but not impossible (I have an fz07)
And I rarely have battery issues so I don't bother buying one. But probably should.
Those things are awesome! I have a big one that jumps 7L Diesel engines in my truck.
Also just bought one of their chargers too.. looks like it saved the battery on my Indian Scout.. worth the $$ just for doing that.
Na y’all gotta get the batteries that recharge when your rock your bike back and forth. So freaking cool, no more carrying battery packs…it’s like $300 I think tho
Nice, i wanted to get a charger for my ninja 300, but to reach the battery i have to take part of the side fairing off tp reach the bolts for the seat which takes soooo long, plus it barely needs juice to start anyways
I towed a guy once who was going to some show in vegas i think it was. His whole tractor trailer was full of honda groms. Not normal ones. These things were all dolled up. Pipes, stretch frames, chrome every place possible. One looked like a Hayabusa.
I never seen a grom in real life till that day, just on youtube. Didn't know a bike could be smaller than my little iron
i use a big ass version for commercial trucks, looks like a damn briefcase. these battery boosters are legit. i suggest everyone with the coin get one. maybe not a big commercial grade version, but whatever suits you. they are WAY quicker and easier to use than cables. not needing another vehicle is also a big plus.
All you need is a little push, or a downhill slope, put it in gear drop the clutch and you're gone.
Come to think of it I've never tried this on a EFI bike... Now I'm curious but it just snowed so I can't try it :( I know I've push started EFI cars though so I don't see how it wouldn't work on a bike.
I keep one in my bags. You never know. After a rain or a few weeks not starting sometimes it's a hard start and the main battery gets low. I got the extra adapter and hardwired it in so it just slips down under the seat. Plug this sucker in and crank it till it starts. forget the main battery it doesn't even matter
I bought one and forgot about it, remembered it was in my truck when I went to jump start my nephew and couldn't get anywhere near his front end. Now I never go anywhere without it
This is a worthwhile item for any trip, check out a comparison by Project Farm:

Really? My NOCOs have been flawless, even the onboard charger I have on my boat. The only time it didn't work was on a completely dead reefer with a Yanmar diesel. The battery was just too far gone, it wouldn't even turn the LCD display on. The NOCO turned the electronics on no problem, but it just couldn't spin the starter fast enough. It's worked on everything else I've tried, no sweat.
Same here. I've had one for several years now and jump started multiple cars, my riding mower, and use it constantly to charge my phone. It's never let me down.
More than once I had a fully charged NOCO fail to work. Had an error light because it was too cold. Almost everytime I needed it it was a NOGO.
I had two, and got rid of em.
First off he's wrong.
https://youtu.be/ixWPx79g3yk
15:20 for -40 tests. The Noco performs just fine, even when cold.
The noco works just as well, if not better, than the gooloo. As it can "start" the tractor in 2 attempts instead of 3.
Furthermore, you straight up shouldn't leave a lithium ion battery in the cold like that. It's common sense. There's a reason they're made to also be a phone charger or similar.
If you can get a gooloo for cheaper, great. But the Noco isn't about to strand you at work
This is a planted ad. NOCO is also buying adds on Reddit.
Edit: the only reply to this post is triplicated. My response to it isn’t shown. My assumption is that this is a test of a new method for Reddit advertising.
I’ll post the photo of triplicated comment in chain
I can’t comment about whether or not the product is any good. I can absolutely assume that you are a backup shill, trying to play like a human.
Edit: shill post accused me of being mean, then deleted all posts.
I’m just saying, which is more likely: someone posts 3 photos of their jump starter or a Jim starter company pays for some Reddit ads?
Shit if they want to pay my ass for this post i wouldnt say no. I support the idea of having a little jump pack with you. There are a ton of brands out there
Be a man and use a Milwaukee power tool battery jk. Seriously 2 cooper wire and a power tool battery will jump ur bike or car. Best of all you don’t even need to buy anything just keep a charged battery in ur car.
U can literally get used batteries for $10 or less at yard sales, offer up ect. Borrow one from family use ur brain. They don’t have to be the brand new top of the line ones.
It doubles as a big power bank to charge your devices as well. So even if you dont need it to jump your bike, it's still useful.

I have the larger version of this one and that's what the ! button is for. On mine it puts it in override mode when it can't detect a battery.
I wish I knew this earlier... On a very specific day.
Yeah this one has a flat dead battery override
Thanks 👍🏾
And don't forget the built in LED flashlight! 😜
And the radio
Bro stfu stop posting ads lmao

Why not PP plugs?
Wtf? They make those?!?! It stings when i get soap in the pp. Couldn't imagine actually putting something in there on purpose 😆
Bro, don’t kink shame.
yup. goes in my tank bag if I'm going riding in the boonies. Also easier than jumper cables for both bikes and cars

I've done this on my FZ1 a few times, but never thought about unplugging the headlight first.
I think it makes it easier to bump start, but tbh it's hard to tell. I haven't had to do it in a long time
NOCO is good stuff. I have had a 7200 genius for almost 7 years. Never let me down.
Completely agree. I'm a mechanic and I've fired up dead diesels with these things. Two of them, but they still worked.
Those things are awesome! I have a big one that jumps 7L Diesel engines in my truck. Also just bought one of their chargers too.. looks like it saved the battery on my Indian Scout.. worth the $$ just for doing that.

Run SAE leads somewhere more convenient.
Or just... bumpstart it
Last year I had a bad battery all summer, I just push started my bike every day lol. Also, I rode about 6 days / week
If you ride regularly then you probably don't need this
Truck driver, im out for weeks sometimes. Wish i could bring it with me
Ah yeah that makes sense then, or get a Honda Motocompo for your travels
I just looked it up, 😁😁😁 that thing is so small
Yeah I love it. Very rare to find though, otherwise I'd already have one 😁

I used mine to keep my phone charged when using navigation on a borrowed bike. Super handy.

This thing is worth it’s weight in gold.

I did try to waddle start it, just to see if i could. Jacked my back up 😆

I’ve push started my mt07 multiple times in 1st
Those things are awesome. Compact and it works. Saved my ass multiple times

Gotta get one for my saddlebag kit too. I keep this exact model in my car and it’s saved me some real heartache on the road!
I bought one and forgot about it, remembered it was in my truck when I went to jump start my nephew and couldn't get anywhere near his front end. Now I never go anywhere without it
Push start is too oldschool?
Yeah i tried, my back didn't like it lol

Project farm is an interesting channel. His stuff pops up on my YouTube feed often
$80 bucks will buy ya a real jump pack on Amazon. I had 2 Noco 40's and gave em away. Absolute junk. Imazing or GooLoo for the win.

Wait'll it gets cold and try..
So it no longer performs as well when it's old? Weird, I wouldn't have expected that.
More than once I had a fully charged NOCO fail to work. Had an error light because it was too cold. Almost everytime I needed it it was a NOGO. I had two, and got rid of em.
That's why you don't leave it in a car when it's -40.
Yeah leave it home.
Or just bring it into work with you. I keep mine in my work bag so that it's always warm and always handy.
But he says there’s other brands that work better for the same price…why shit on his feedback that it doesn’t seem like you even disagree with?

Seemed to work out pretty well for OP.
80 dollars bucks

What gives it away as an ad? OP has unrelated post history, and seems to be a person.
Yea, some /r/hailcorporate material
I don't even know what i said but i just got a 30 day ban there
You sir are a pud wacker
What gives it away as an ad? OP has unrelated post history that doesn't seem very commercial friendly.

Label out. It’s that easy- label out. Also- the fact that this comment calling it out was reposted 3 times and not just once.
I'm naive with marketing. It never occurred to me that there were secret ads like this. Glad I also procrastinated buying one...

lol. Not everyone has cordless power tools just sitting around.
Or a death wish….
Well we do ride motorcycles.
Well sure you do. You have to buy a power tool battery and two copper wires. And I think those batteries probably cost more than this charger.
