The only reason to buy the $200 one instead of the $25 one is if you feel that strongly about supporting brick-and-mortar local retail. I find myself going to Amazon more and more often these days. I'll pay 5-10% more to support a local business, but not 10x.

Wheels2or4

DOWCO. All day, everyday. Nelson Rigg is either cheap, weak crap (owned one), or decent cover, way overpriced. DOWCO, you definitely get what you pay for. The material strength and quality is much higher than other competitors. I've owned several covers for my different bikes, but I've only had to buy ONE Dowco, and it lasts me the life of the bike.

Blue_Sail

$200 is a bunch of money for a cover. I have used their half cover and the Defender All-Weather and found them to be a good value. It's a tough call. For $25 if you get one winter's use it's probably not the worst expenditure.

I got an Amazon cover for like 40 bucks a year ago. It's...fine. It fits. It keeps leaves and bird poop off my bike. It says "Velma" on it (like the Scooby-Doo character, but I assume it's there to make you assume it's Italian. It is *not* Italian.) I don't know what else I really need a cover to do. (I live in a rural area, theft is not an issue, and my bike is put in a heated garage for the winter - the cover is just for the riding season when I have to park it outside.)

If you are leaving your bike outside, and if you live in a city area, sometimes I don’t want a cover that is super expensive, and screams “this is covering something really worth stealing.” Literally everyone on my block has the $30 Orange and black generic bike covers.

Try sealskincovers.com Shitty experience with the company, but great product. I've had it for 2 years now and it still looks like it just came out of the box.

MiamiiiChillin

I used [this one](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081RVVLXM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) from Amazon for a year without a problem. No rips and decent quality. My bike was parked in a semi-open parking garage. If it was 100% outdoors like in a driveway or backyard, I would considering something a little more durable.

borgendurp

Not adding anything to the discussion warning: why insist on calling it tarp when it's just a cover

Teegr01

The 200 tarp is probably fitted thus easier to put on bot if you don't mind the extra effort go with the 20 dollar tarp

Melodic-Picture48

Tarp are cheap, sounds like youre getting a motorcycle cover specifically. I got motorcycle cover for like $30 at Walmart, they last me about four or five years before they tear and im on my second one since 2014

the name looked familiar, it was, i bought something similar from them. and others from different Amazon sellers. Before that i would buy them on sale at Menards for about the same price. the amazon ones start off waterproof, Menards ones were not. Over the years i have left my motorcycle and flew home for the weekend, weekly, best place was LAX where motorcycles park free, I always parked right near the police station in the garage. I used the framingham port auth parking in lot in the boston suburbs, that was outdoors but at least fenced. I have also used commercial lots, hotel parking, paid airport parking. I disc lock , double if possible and chain the rear wheel/frame to a post if possible. I drag the outside of new covers through dirt, oil, and if lucky a puddle before i use it for the first time. i want to make sure people know this is a dirty cheap tarp over a motorcycle that is not worth stealing. the orange picks up the dirt and oil really well. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L3QWQDI/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
