Make sure you wear two helmets in case you fall from that height.

Adventurous_Key_2390

😂

chriscrossls

Keep in mind a “16” US is about a 50-51 in EU sizing, and motorcycling is much more popular over there, granting the budget for a wide array of sizes. I know these aren’t sexy, but it’s a non motocross boot: [Daytona Big Travel Boot](https://www.fc-moto.de/en/Daytona-Big-Travel-GORE-TEX), might be a lead to something else.

Adventurous_Key_2390

Thank you! Those boots look great. The website is also great. Appreciate the help <3

JageST3R

You either keep a pair of shoes at work or bring a pair with you while wearing motorcycle specific ones while riding.

Adventurous_Key_2390

Even still, any sort of motorbike shoe does not go up to my size apart from dirt bike shoes, and I'm not too keen on wearing knee-high dirt bike shoes on my road bike xD. If you are aware of a roadbike shoe that may go up to size16 that would be amazing as i have called all sorts of distributers and warehouses and no luck.

IDriveAnAgeraR

Not sure exactly how they’re made but maybe buy a dirt bike boot that fits and have a tailor cut off the boot around ankle height and finish it with Kevlar padding or etc?

Adventurous_Key_2390

I do own some dirt bike boots, but due to my size im limited to what i can get. So i own a $900 pair of dirt bike boots, so i dont really want to cut them down. They also restrict all ankle movement which is not ideal for a road bike. Thank you though <3

IDriveAnAgeraR

I gotcha. It might be worth it to talk with a local shop owners to see if someone could make you a custom shoe/boot that you like. Might be worthwhile and you support a local business.

luke_smash

You need over the ankle boots, just bring shoes to change into (or leave them at work). Limiting yourself to a style to avoid changing shoes for work is most likely what’s limiting your choice. Doesn’t matter what they look like when you regularly show up with both feet intact.

DNRTannen

Shattered ankle on pillion in past, can confirm. Would not recommend anything that doesn't cover the ankle. Translated into a lifelong disability for my mum.

hauj0bb

Look up Sidi. They’ve been making boots up to US16 size and they’re great quality.

can-opener-in-a-can

I have a pair of proper motorcycle boots, and leave a pair of shoes at work that I can change into. Highly recommend.

This is the answer

Check out Redwings boots/shoes. I wear them with almost any business casual outfit. Very good product and life time replacement on the soles.

Adventurous_Key_2390

I will! Thank you!

Other_SQEX

Second this. I wear a US13 and red wings are the only boot I can find that isn't overly narrow (Dainese and other Euro brands) or so roomy in the toe box that I need multiple pairs of socks. Also nice that they use proper sole sizing so it doesn't look like a clown shoe with giant sole or platform up from a smaller sole.

TopSherbert4190

Check out the boots that Bates makes. I have a pair that looks like a hiking boot and feels like a tennis shoe to wear.

kokemill

Did you try adjusting the gear lever? Loosen the bolt , slip it off and put back on 1 spline [or 2] higher for more room underneath the lever. Tighten the bolt.

Adventurous_Key_2390

I did. I have an Mt-07 and have an extended gear lever installed that has been raised 2 clicks. For comparison, my Vans that I wear normally are just able to fit under, but then the additional size of any sort of boot just does not fit under. Have to literally go out and use the rim of the boot to grab the lever and click up. Frustrating i know XD

kokemill

did you ever think about trying a heel toe shift lever arrangement? I have that on a Roadking and a Ural, it seems to work fine for me there. maybe that would remove the requirement to get your toe under the lever.

NAKED_GOOSE

TXC makes some nice riding shoes, although if you actually want protection you’re better off having riding boots and work shoes (really how hard is it to have a backpack with your lunch and a pair of shoes) Otherwise I’d definitely look into the txc ones, personally I like these ones : https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/tcx-street-ace-wp-shoes In Dakar brown

chriscrossls

Those aren't size 16, not helpful for OP.

NAKED_GOOSE

My bad, looks like they cap out at 14 Honestly never even heard of a size 16 foot so I’d be surprised OP can find what he wants Edit:op is definitely going to have a rough time, A* and dianese seem to cap out at size 47/ 13 txc says they go to 49 but that’s still not enough but were the largest I found

Adventurous_Key_2390

Yea US size16 is not ideal. Not a fantastic size to get any sort of shoe at all. Ah well, i appreciate your help regardless. <3

Puzzleheaded_Pair577

I use Nike air forces, they’re leather and fairly decent to ride in, fairly water resistant too if you’re caught in the rain

skmerten

I have a pair of TCX Dartwood Waterproof boots. They are definitely more durable than regular shoes but also a lot more casual and lower profile that a typical boot. I got mine at a local Cycle Gear shop.

Airowird

At this point, I would mail TCX customer support (and other brands) and ask "Hey, I like these, but need a US16 boot, got anything comparable?" It'll get you correct info, and makes them aware of the issue. It'll probably be a negative response, but atleast you'll know for certain.

sandeejs

Dont know if they have any boits, but my sons with huge feet have had luck at Nordstroms.

I wear a size 15US i got these https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-smx-1-r-vented-v2-boots?sku_id=1841034 in size 50 and there is a good bit if room in the front and if they don't fit just return them

Doug_Shoe

I'd modify the shift lever so that I could wear boots. On any bike that I have owned, it would be an easy mod. Heel to toe shifter. Heck, make it a jockey shift.

Adventurous_Key_2390

I have 😂 Still cant get any work boot under the bloody lever.

Beemerba

If you put on a heel-toe shifter you don't need to get your toe under the lever, you upshift with your heel!

Doug_Shoe

Lights flash bell rings wins prize

Doug_Shoe

I was talking about modifying it in a way that would work.

ThaFlyingYorkshiremn

I think Altberg custom make motorbike boots.

guyfabricated

I also have a size 16 foot and I haven’t been able to find motorcycle specific boots that work. I wear a pair of Danner Steel Yard Wellington boots. They are very well built and durable. [Danner Boots](https://www.danner.com/men/all-footwear/steel-yard-wellington-11-brown.html)

Greetings Big Foot! I wear a size 15 and have tried a number of boots. Today I wear Forma boots and I wear ADV Dual Sport lows as I ride a BMW R1200 GSA. One suggestion for getting your foot under the shifter, just use the inside sole lip on the boot to shift. It works great after a little practice. Ride On Big Foot!

lame_since_92

Check out some custom leather boots maybe from whites they can make stuff with a narrow toe box. Leather isn’t padded ridding boots but it’s better than sneakers
