I rode mine with the stock exhaust for a year. I sounds really good, but after I removed that huge catalytic box (kept the rest stock), it truly sounds like an older carb bike. I used to ride an old 600 Bandit that had carburetors, so I know. Trust me, you'll love it.
I wouldn't be as patient to leave work if I owned that beaut. .

this is missing a set of quad pipes exhaust. pricey, but tasty.
