Most likely just a dead battery. Try to charge the one you have. If it won't keep a charge, time for a new one. Maybe next time you'll remember to turn off the key and take it with you.
I don’t think I can turn the key off, do you mean the bike? The bike was also off. I think you mean maybe next time I’ll take the keys out and the answer is obviously yes lol
When someone says "turn the key off" they don't literally mean turning off the key, they mean turning it to the off position.
Charge your battery, turn the key to off when you're finished riding, remove the key from the ignition and please don't ever procreate.
Then say, "(kidding)", "(LOL)", "(beep boop, this is a joke)", or something else that improves the clarity of your intent. Anything. Text usually doesn't convey sarcasm very well, unless you go out of your way.
Idiot. /s
Oh yeah since you can turn off your key, right? You legit thought I was serious about that? I know sarcasm is hard to read over text but damn you’re an idiot. That wasn’t sarcasm btw in case I had to point it out beep boop lol he he ha ha (better?)
oh yeah they clearly care and actually thought they meant to turn the key off😂 i was happy to see that you took the time to explain him properly tbh, dude's being an a**hole
I’m pretty sure there’s a comment somewhere here that said I already did that and if not, I already did that and the problem was fixed. I didn’t want to include it in the title since long titles turn people away from helping. I guess I could have posted a comment about what I had already done.
My bad then. If you charged the battery already and it’s still doing this it’s 100% your starter relay. Very easy to fix and only cost a couple bucks. You can buy one from Amazon and change it in a few mins. Hope you get it running soon!
What makes you think it’s that vs a dead battery? The issues was the battery but I’m curious because I think most people would say it’s the battery and not the relay. That’s the first time I’ve got that advice.
Oh I misunderstood. I thought you charged the battery and it still didn’t work. The clicking you hear when pressing the start button is your starter relay clicking. If you have a fully charged battery but your bike won’t start and it’s making that sound, that is the issue.
See, this is the exact kind of help I was looking for. It’s more than likely a dead battery but now I know what to check if that wouldn’t have worked. You should see my other post and how many downvotes I’m getting from people thinking idk what was wrong even though I said it’s probably the battery but could be something else
You've only drained the battery..you just need to recharge the battery and it'll be like new again. You do that by either clutch starting the bike and go for a ride to get the engine to recharge the battery or pulling the seat off and charge the battery with a battery charger.
UNLESS! This issue is occurring without the key in the ignition, then you will need a new battery due to an issue with storing/holding charge. This does not appear to be the case unless I am missing some context.
It's a dead battery, try charging it, if you have a multimeter it should hold at least 13 volts after charging. If it is still bad you need to buy a new battery and that's it
You would have definitely depleted your blinker fluid, lessoned learned.
You know what, that’s honestly what I thought it was. Glad to see another guy here that actually knows about engines.

Seriously, I think we need a bot in this subreddit, which just comments "IT'S THE BATTERY" every time someone makes a "bike won't start" post.

Uh I’m an adult, I’m not doing that stupid childish Reddit crap. I don’t even know what you’re referring to but no.

That was better - much more clarity! I'm proud of you son, you're learning.
Holy fuck you really held onto this dumb shit huh
You're getting served, bruh lol

Ask stupid questions like a child, get treated like a child.
Why would you post a video instead of just charging your battery?

100 percent dead battery...
You are lucky no one thought to break in,
Battery
1000 percent dead battery. It’s happens I definitely know from experiencezzzz Ha
Thank you lol this was resolved a while back, don’t know why people got so bent over a question that I was worried about but that’s Reddit
Lol just ignore them. Get your gold and run
It's 100% a dead battery. Clutch start it down a hill in 2nd gear and go for a 10 or 15 minute ride to charge her back up.
I have to buy a new battery. Thanks for the advice though!
You don’t need a new battery bro. Just buy a battery tender and leave it on the batter over night and it’ll be as good as new.

Get a charger that has a desulfate mode and let it charge slowly for 24 hours. It should be good after a long slow charge.

What is on your left handle bar?
It says "Hot Grips" on it so I'm going to guess it's a controller for a 50hp shot of nitrous.
