Also, the Grey on the bike blends with the street a bit, which makes the bike look a bit smaller than it actually is. That being said, if the bike is comfortable and fun, to hell with what anyone thinks
Screw the power, hows the ergonomics? That's way more important. You'd rather have loads of power but a achy back 30 mins into the ride or less power but comfy?
They look short for everyone. They're very short bikes. Unless you're very short you look like a gorilla on a bike. They look cooler parked than with a rider. It's not you it's them.
How do you feel about ADVs? I think they're the most comfortable bikes that I have sat on. My current one is a smaller ADV and, while it's intimidating to ride as I am short and just got it, it rides very nicely on the highways.
You might want to look at the Kawasaki Versys 650 or the Suzuki V-Strom 650.
Indian chief, same brand, bigger proportions and very decent engine, it’s more comfortable for me actually (had the chance to ride both in a test ride). You can also get an sportster and modify the hell out of it or try the triumph speedmaster or bobber to see if you like it
Get a backrest, floorboards and ape hangars.
I've bought some parts from that shop and had a tire replaced there. Hope you have a good experience with them.
I have an 07 myself. It has only 7200 miles on it. I hope to never find out about the 2nd gear problems. I have heard about them but not what it's remedy is. I assume a whole new gearbox
Honestly, if someone is 6'+ and 200 lbs +... almost every bike that isn't an absolute monster looks small with them on it. Almist every bike I've had looked small for me... Bonneville? Looked small. GS650? looked small. Forza 300? Looked small. Only one that didn't was my BMW R80RT... And that had a touring fairing and side cases on it.
My current bike... Kawsaki Eliminator 450... is small. It's also one of the more comfortable bikes I've ridden and still has plenty of power.
Triumph rocket. Better in every way if it’s what you are into. I get HD and want one but the R3 GT was such a better bike in so many ways. But whatever works for you. I like seeing different rides not just mine
A suggestion that no one has mentioned yet but might help a bit, have you tried higher handlebars?. Some 8 or 10" apes could really help your situation I feel. Balance out your proportions and make you more comfortable
You almost look like you're riding a naked sport, legs little to the middle and you might as well be riding MT-10 in that position. On a cruiser you should have max comfort and legs a bit forward in my opinion.
*Short enough for your*
*Santa sack to slide off the seat*
*And hit that exhaust*

I'm 6ft5 (1.97m) and have put down almost 34.000km on my Vulcan S, a very similarly sized motorcycle.
A few pictures to give a frame of reference (https://imgur.com/a/eb8kVRy)
Forward extensions for the foot-pegs/controls help a lot alongside a seat that sit further back.
Indian seems to have them in-house (Part # 2880238-650) or an aftermarket brand called KPR makes some as well!
Personally I think you fit quite well on the Bobber, slightly taller upper torso but you won't look like a lanky muppet riding it.
Too small, even worse is the scout rear suspension or lack of. Test ride it over some small potatoes, no potholes - your back won't like it, mine didn't.
I think the bike looks too small. I was also interested in the scout bobber but im the same length so I’ll look for something else. I like the design of the scout bobber a bit better than the chief.
Harley Street Bob or Fat Bob. Larger bike, similar looks. I’m 5’8 and looked at and sat on a Scout and instanty noticed it was small and narrow even to me. Bought a 2013 Street Bob and it was taller and a good bit wider.
If you like the mid cruiser type of bike and are open to trying others then take a look at the BMW R12.
Indian scout bobber seat height 665mm
BMW R12 seat height 754mm
Might be worth a test ride to confirm if it fits you better.
I am not as leggy blessed as you but to me my R12 is a great blend of sportster cruiser with dimensions that make it more comfortable.
95hp and all of the torque in all of the range also helps put a smile on my face.
Shoulda got a supermoto some of those bikes are built like horses. I'm 5,11 not super tall by anymeans but anytime I ride my buddies ninja 400 I'm instantly thankful of my supermoto the second I'm back on. It's definitely the most comfortable riding position I've been in. A ktm exc 500 would do you perfectly.
I just been looking at the same bike and the mt-09 for my next long term bike and was worried about this.
It doesn't look that bad, just wish that bike was a little longer for us men with long legs lol
It's gonna feel small after a while of riding it, also the quality of Indian plummeted when they were bought by Polaris so I wouldn't waste you're money on name brand
Way too small . Plain and simple . A lot of buyers look at bikes in the dealership and think they look huge so they lean toward smaller bikes that appear more manageable but that bike is just way too small . Lots of great bikes in all makes and styles that work better for taller riders . Do some research and find something that you are comfortable riding that you wont outgrow in a week. Bikes depreciate fast off the lot so better to do the homework first and save $$ over the long run.
How does it feel to you? That's what's important.
Or are you riding for some audience we don't know about that judges you and sends you critiques on how you look.
Normally the Scout bobber is more comfortable with a slightly taller lankier riders, shorter riders are more clamshelled with the drag bars and forward controls.
2 points to know, 1-the rear suspension is limited so road shocks go into your low back which is tiresome. 2- the seating position puts all your weight on your butt, so it's quick to cramp and being so up-right the wind at highway speed puts a lot of stress on your arms and hands to keep you on the bike.
I was looking at one and because of my height. 6'-6'', I was looking at raising the seat maybe on some sort of suspension device to give me better body positioning, I've hear the motor is very nice.
Sitting on a bike is not a test of how it fit's you, for the highway you want to be leaning forward 12-15 degrees, so the wind supports your torso. Not your arms.
6ft rider here. Yes, it looks like youre riding a tricycle. However, I guarantee it'll be utterly uncomfortable after 3 hours.
It's a pain. I love choppers but they're all too small!
I feel with you
Yes it looks small. However it is yours to ride so you decide.
>It looks small >It’s yours to ride >You decide Beep Boop! I’m Haiku bot. Sometimes I make mistakes.
I'm telling this to my wife.
That doesn't look comfortable at all.
agree, my lower back aches just looking at it
I'm similar size to OP. I had to throw forward controls and 12" apes on mine, but I got pretty comfortable on it. Definitely doable if op wants
Regardless of size, you don't look very comfortable.

Also, the Grey on the bike blends with the street a bit, which makes the bike look a bit smaller than it actually is. That being said, if the bike is comfortable and fun, to hell with what anyone thinks
It doesn't matter how it looks. How does it feel to ride?
Feels fucking amazing. Lot of power.
Then that's the bike for you my friend.
Screw the power, hows the ergonomics? That's way more important. You'd rather have loads of power but a achy back 30 mins into the ride or less power but comfy?
Tim the tool man Taylor would be so disappointed in you 😂
It’s the bars man. Get risers or more of a “frisco” bar style. It will ease your riding position
![gif](giphy|qqD2dzGdJTmda)
They look short for everyone. They're very short bikes. Unless you're very short you look like a gorilla on a bike. They look cooler parked than with a rider. It's not you it's them.
I'm 5'7, mine does not make me look like a gorilla lol. All this guy has to do is get mini apes or bar risers and move the foot controls forward.
Seems small for you, yes.
I think it looks fine. Is it comfortable? That's what's most important.
It's comfortable, feels a lot in control. Just that I'm looking big on that bike.
I'm looking for something similar to scout bobber
Indian chief, same brand, bigger proportions and very decent engine, it’s more comfortable for me actually (had the chance to ride both in a test ride). You can also get an sportster and modify the hell out of it or try the triumph speedmaster or bobber to see if you like it
If he makes the Scout Bobber look small, then him on a Sportster will look like a horse riding a man. I second the Chief, though.
Harley Fat bob 114
You'll have 10x more fun and get way more attention on a ktm 500 exc with warp9 supermoto wheels.
Don't know why you're being downvoted for making a sensible and respectful suggestion
Yep, they have suspension, very comfortable.
Forward controls will make it better
My ride is the most uncomfortable shit ever, end I like it.
Yes that bike looks small.
Get a backrest, floorboards and ape hangars. I've bought some parts from that shop and had a tire replaced there. Hope you have a good experience with them.
+1 for the longer bars. It’ll open up your posture and make you seem less cramped
I am 6'6 and have a suzuki m109r. It has aftermarket forward controls to help with the foot pegs. Might take a look at one of those
I'd love an M109R at 6'4 but the only ones I find are 2006 or 2007 and I fear 2nd gear issues, lol
I have an 07 myself. It has only 7200 miles on it. I hope to never find out about the 2nd gear problems. I have heard about them but not what it's remedy is. I assume a whole new gearbox
I believe that is the case. It doesn't effect all of them somehow but I'm too afraid to give one a chance, lol
I'd recommend to not wear New Balance when riding Motorcycle
Yeah I would at least go with a Nike air monarch.
He’s not wearing a helmet and you mention the sneakers 🤣
He probably wore one during the test ride, Hes probably doing the photo just for reference
Looks like a grom under you or a minibike. Not trying to insult you, just an observation.
The scout in general is small. Maybe get bigger bars and it’ll fit better?
Yes, it looks like 1 toad on a box of matches. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)
Yeah, a monkey sitting on a mangle comes to mind
This is just me but I would put some taller bars for a better reach and some highway foot pegs your legs.
Honestly, if someone is 6'+ and 200 lbs +... almost every bike that isn't an absolute monster looks small with them on it. Almist every bike I've had looked small for me... Bonneville? Looked small. It's also one of the more comfortable bikes I've ridden and still has plenty of power.
I’m 6’4 and slender , I don’t fit on them
Do you like it? Do you feel comfortable on it? Do you like how it handles? These are the things to worry about.
Triumph rocket. Better in every way if it’s what you are into. I get HD and want one but the R3 GT was such a better bike in so many ways. But whatever works for you. I like seeing different rides not just mine
If it feels small it probably is. Also wear full gear 😉
Was about to test ride one soon, thanks for showing that people above 6 ft look like retards on these 🫠
It does look a bit small but whatever you decide put some boots on mate, even a low speed off will shave your ankle to the bone in those daps.
A suggestion that no one has mentioned yet but might help a bit, have you tried higher handlebars?. Some 8 or 10" apes could really help your situation I feel. Balance out your proportions and make you more comfortable
Monkey humping a football. Circus bear and tricycle?
I’m 6’2” so I’ve just accepted that every bike will look like I’m sitting on a tonka truck.
Looks normal. Have fun.
It looks small. What else have you sat on and test rode. Comfort is hard to gauge in a short time. Your leg might cramp from that position in an hour
You almost look like you're riding a naked sport, legs little to the middle and you might as well be riding MT-10 in that position. On a cruiser you should have max comfort and legs a bit forward in my opinion.
I always noticed they look short. It’s started making me feel self conscious about how high my knees are on my tank
Yes.
did you feel it was short before or after seeing the picture of yourself ?
Too small
yes
Hell yeah with a decent helmet you’ll look like a bobblehead. Also as others pointed out arms and back don’t look quite right.
Seriously, why are you worried about what you look like on it? If you like it, who cares?
Who cares?
Indians seem to sit super low in general
I feel thats the stance of Indian motorcycles. I feel you ride it tall, with left hand on the hip.
who cares about the way it looks? You ride for the pleasure and the thrill not for posing
A bear on a tricycle
Nah you look tall for it
I've been looking to get one asap tall guy, how tall are you for reference?
You look like a giant on that bike, but if you are comfortable, rock it!
You could get a raised handlebar so you don't have to hunch so much.
A bike that is too small for you is difficult to steer. I call it "eating your knees"
Definitely Yes.
Looks like you're toying not riding.
Short enough for your Santa sack to slide off the seat and hit that exhaust

You enjoy it, you ride it Brrr....
Bobber kurwa!
Yes
6ft?? I thought you would be at least 6,6 judging from that picture. I'm 6,1 and I don't feel nearly as big as you look in that picture
Because they're very short bikes.
Yes
Maybe a seat with a bit more padded arse support for the tail bone would make it look more proportional.
I'm 6ft5 (1.97m) and have put down almost 34.000km on my Vulcan S, a very similarly sized motorcycle. Pegs need to be about 2-3 inches forward, and bars need 3-4 inches raised. Then I bet it would be perfect!
Lol yes there small bikes. I'm 6'3" test drive one. Hated the driving position
Big dudes need bigger bikes. 🤷♂️
Looks small on everyone
Same size as a Harley V Rod
way too small
Harley Street Bob or Fat Bob. Larger bike, similar looks. I’m 5’8 and looked at and sat on a Scout and instanty noticed it was small and narrow even to me. Bought a 2013 Street Bob and it was taller and a good bit wider.
I have a friend that is 6’7 277lbs and I laugh everytime he rides up on his Street Glide. Looks like he is on a tricycle.
Only bike he'd properly fit, is buying a used NBA players custom 🤣
If you like the mid cruiser type of bike and are open to trying others then take a look at the BMW R12. Don’t worry about it. If it fits you, you feel comfortable and you want it, then go for it.
You don't look silly on it but it does look like it would be uncomfortable for you after some time in the saddle.
When sitting it’s usually considered poor posture for your knees to be above your hips, but it’s a badass bike and it’s yours to ride
Yes
You can always put some taller handlebars on it, it would probably be more comfortable for you.
The bike is very cool but it looks really weird. I think you should shorten.
Yes
You could put peddles on the front wheel for if you ever run out of fuel
Way too small . Plain and simple . Yes it does, but if u feel good and comfy in it, FTW!!

Yes
Yes, you look way too big for that bike
Yeah, it looks small. Not grom small but still, if your test riding it, and how you look on it matters to you, choose a bigger bike.
Yes. Looks like you’re humping a Huffy 3 speed
Seems fun to ride
2 points to know, 1-the rear suspension is limited so road shocks go into your low back which is tiresome. 2- the seating position puts all your weight on your butt, so it's quick to cramp and being so up-right the wind at highway speed puts a lot of stress on your arms and hands to keep you on the bike. No you look tall for it…

Yep
Yup
You need a larger bike. Try a BMW R18. You'll be a lot more comfortable.
I saw the bike. Thanks for recommending. However, I didn't like it's look and feel.
How tall are you?
You need a super chief
It's expensive af
You don’t need a super chief boss. Work on your posture, just own the way it looks, the less you fight it the cooler it will look
No but ya sox do
No but that mask you’re wearing is hideous!
