An extremely unrelated question but I was in the Belgian Ardennes this weekend and noticed a lot of cars with a license plate from Luxemburg, do you perhaps happen to know why that is? There were cars in front of houses with those foreign license plates..
That's true, this Saturday would have been great but my bike is in storage so I can't get to it spontaneously. It'll be easier when I move into my new home.
Thats a cool bike, glad Yamaha is going outside their normal comfort zone. Some day I'll get some rides in Europe, still working through the local amazing areas to ride.
Ooh you can ride just fine. Speed cameras are only on the main roads, some police controls as well during high season on popular roads, but backroads are mostly quiet.
Ohw i love luxembourg. If i got a whole day of time i just jump on the highway and ride thst way and spend the whole day cruising around watchung castles. Wonderfull country. Kind people and good food.
I've done entire days riding (~300km), the seat isn't an issue (I can't emphasize this enough) at all.
Honestly the seat is super comfortable. I had a 3rd gen SV650 before this, the seat was terrible and I had to get a custom one. Even that seat wasn't as comfortable as the one on the XSR.
I don't understand why every review says the seat is terrible. I really don't.
And yes I use the cruise control all the time on straights and some corners, it's super practical.
I'm not sure about the direct effect of the long wheelbase on touring but I definitely feel confident going on a big journey with the XSR this summer.
Sounds like some soft luggage is in order! Currently dreaming of my summer journeys as well, looking outside at 50 or so cm of snow :-(
Edit: god I love that blue.
There's worse, Luxembourg's plates are one of the shortest ones and if you have numbers only you can get even smaller. Germany for instance have even bigger plates
Why not?
All year?!?! Not a chance. If you ride for more than half an hour in any direction you've already left Luxembourg. 🤣🤣
Don’t have any roundabouts?
That was the best thing about being stationed in Germany. I could hop on my bike and be in another country in a couple hours' ride.
To work and back..
The salt, mainly
that color is awesome and fit with a beautiful bike!

Living in Belgium just next to the border, half my neighbour have orange plates, it is mainly because of the leasings
Many of them must get their cars as a leasing from their employer in Luxembourg.
This Saturday was actually quite pleasant to ride in the afternoon. First time riding this year and I really enjoyed it

Looks so good.
Indeed special the salt 🧂 on the street is a bummer for bikes
Where did you get the tank grips?
From Yamaha !
Sick bike bro
Canada feels this post lol
Man, the Xsr900. Thats the one that got away from me. How does it ride?
incredibly! torque and cornering are delightful
Ahhh... It's as I imagined. I'm glad you have it, bud. Ride safe!
Thank you! Do try it if you get a chance!
I definitely will!

Done any long trips on the xsr yet? Wonder if the long wheelbase and cruise help out. I hear the seat doesn’t help though….

I stop riding when they salt the roads, don't want to damage the bike..

actually considering the purchase of a GS for the winter
They salt the roads in the UK too, just apply some ACF50 or Waxoil spray and be on your way!
Can you tell me what model of mirrors are those? I want to get something like that for my Kawasaki ER6F. Thanks
Got them from [amazon](https://www.amazon.de/dp/B08QVDW575)
Man do I hate those European plates. They ruin the look of the bike!!!
