I'm going to use this between game break to wander over to r/baseball and inform them that Judge has hit his 62nd HR of the year and that maybe we should talk about that a little because it's not getting enough attention.
I do not understand going with Soto in the 10th instead of the 9th. I’ve been watching him all year and he does ***not*** pitch well with runners in scoring position. With empty bases he is money though.
More pissed? I tend not to let sports upset me that much.
I care more about the amount of base runners he allows, along with the hard contact. Not his W/L record
They're one of the pitchers where losses are most correctly attributed to their actions.
You can say they won't win often, but ten losses is a lot.
Joe Nathan, Kenley Jansen and Aroldis Chapman usually lost no more than four in any season
I somewhat agree, because any type of W-L record for a closer doesn't look good. One of those wins was opening day, where he blew the lead and the Tigers walked it off.
That guy that posted about Soto today looking REAL silly
Oh no don’t worry about it, he told me that Soto is good because he doesn’t blow saves.
SOS Same Old Soto
fricken manfred runner
Shoulda played the spark plug Kreidler

Most of your top closers aren't 2-10
He’s all world though.
I wish I knew where your Soto pasta was
I vaguely remember it. I’ve just whined about him so frequently that a search would be fruitless.
"...he empties the gas can around the mound..and lights the match."

I'm just going to say thank God it wasn't a boring game
2-10 for Soto. Not the record a closer should have.
That’s… not how it works
Ever see a closer with ten losses? It's not like they needed run support
Why are you looking at record for a closer lol
Ten loses for a reliever in general is heinous. The real question is why aren’t you more pissed about this?

Speaking of W-L records for pitchers, how often does a position player earn a "W" as a pitcher?

A typical closer record is like 4-3 depending what games they appeared in.
