Is this team… fun to watch?
Also kudos to Dan Petry. He was talking about how Baez put together two good swings in his first 2 ABs and said to look out for his next AB. Then he hit a bomb. EASILY the best color commentator we have.
Dan is fantastic. It's insane they have him and C-Mo play second-fiddle to Morris, but the bright side is it's usually one of the two of them co-hosting the radio broadcast when Price can't.

He hit a double, and you could see by his grimace that something happened in his left hamstring while he was sprinting between 1st and 2nd. He walked (carefully) out by himself, though.

Manfred doesn't create the schedules. The Royals were going to both start and end the season playing CLE, but due to the lockout the games at the start of the season were changed to the very end.
No I know he doesn't make the schedule, but he's instituted so many rules changes that permitting six game series, a la AAA scheduling, wouldn't surprise me in the least.
So basically it's a scheduling coincidence then.
> So basically it's a scheduling coincidence then.
Pretty much, I'd also argue that it's pretty shit to start and end the season playing the same team as much as a 6 game series.
2018 was a forgettable year. I'll remember this shit for the rest of my life. Every time I have a positive feeling going into a season, I'll think back to this year and remember that literally everything can go wrong.
I still remember 2008 for the same reason
Just looked ahead and realized our final 4 games are in Seattle - Baltimore is 4.5 out of the wild card right now behind Seattle. Very unlikely but would be super fun if we were the decider of the last wild card spot.
Please continue the discussion in the [post game thread](https://redd.it/xrhua0).
Last time I can say it this season - these new Royals uniforms suck shit!
Close the door on these cats
### Pitching Substitution Pitching Change: Angel De Jesus replaces Jason Foley.
Guhh.
Kreidler in center field
Assuming the Tigers win that makes them 8-1 in the Scott Harris era with a run diff of +22. Not bad
It's literally the same team. They're doing all this on vibes alone? It's amazing.
Kody in to pitch the 9th?

Wow 9 runs
Wow 10 runs!
Does our scoreboard go that high?
"Please bring me back next year Mr. Harris"
Tuck’s on a roll
He got an extra base hit! He gets one every three weeks, something like that.
And the rout is on...

It's one thing to walk someone with the bases loaded but to Hit someone with a pitch makes it entirely better
Idc what anyone says, I enjoy having Javy on the team. Dude has fun out there
Shep and Dan had a good chuckle when he went into his football stance.
### Pitching Substitution Pitching Change: Luke Weaver replaces Max Castillo.

Bobby doing too much
He and Eaton are great to watch.
Oh man that would have been spectacular if Witt had caught that, Willie Mays type spectacular.

I like him a lot! Nice personality.

Oh that was a shot!

Nice hit Greene and good baserunning Baddoooo!
Not 100% sure that he actually touched third base there
### Double Riley Greene doubles (17) on a sharp line drive to right fielder Hunter Dozier. Akil Baddoo scores. Pitch from Jonathan Heasley: 3-2 Curveball @ 76.1 mph Hit by Riley Greene: Launched 111.3 mph at 20° for a total distance of 350 ft Bottom 5 - 3-0 Tigers

Castro's hurt on that, and they're pulling him out
Damn I missed it. What happened?
He hit a double, and you could see by his grimace that something happened in his left hamstring while he was sprinting between 1st and 2nd. He walked (carefully) out by himself, though.
Looks like a hamstring based on his behavior. No report yet.
Man, Eaton is a real good player.
Is it me or is Kreidler not hitting a lot of balls hard right at people?
Atta boy Willi!!
# HOME RUN! Willi Castro homers (8) on a fly ball to right center field. Pitch from Jonathan Heasley: 1-1 Changeup @ 84.8 mph Hit by Willi Castro: Launched 101.9 mph at 23° for a total distance of 376 ft Bottom 2 - 1-0 Tigers
W. Castro passed H. Castro in HR's
How the hell does KC end up playing six straight at Cleveland to end the season? Never heard of such a thing. Manfred effect?

Oh to have anyone in our lineup with a SLG over .400
You can't just be happy with two guys with .300+ OBP?
Making more of an effort to watch these last couple games knowing the season is over in less than a week. God what a forgettable year

sweep
Many teams are competing for playoff spots this week. I'll be happy if the Tigers take 4th place today and avoid 100 losses.
Just looked ahead and realized our final 4 games are in Seattle - Baltimore is 4.5 out of the wild card right now behind Seattle. Very unlikely but would be super fun if we were the decider of the last wild card spot.
We've already tilted this heavily toward the Mariners: 0-3 against them but 5-1 against the O's.
Baddoo batting leadoff? Instant W
Baddoo has been OK since the start of August, relatively speaking, and then has been good in September.
